5 months ago Shinobu found you on the brink of death near the house your parents were murdered in. She took you in and when you were comfortable enough to open up to her about your little space she immediately wanted to be your caregiver.

Shinobu was in your room reading you a bed time story. She read you a story almost every night. The times she didn't is when she had to care for someone in critical condition.

As she continues with the story Y/n eyes began to feel heavy as she yawned and closed her eyes falling asleep. Shinobu smiles at her precious little and kisses her forhead shutting off the light and going to her room for some much needed sleep.

"Mama ake ups" (Mama wake up)

Shinobu opened her eyes to see her little next to her shaking her gently.

"Good morning my little butterfly"

"Hurry Mama I wanna sees aunty!"

Shinobu laughed and got on her outfit for the day being her harori. Shinobu then got Y/n dressed in her outfit

Y/n spun around loving her new dress. "Hehehehe" Y/n giggled and ran out of the room excited to see her aunt. "Y/n slow down!" Shinobu called out. She didn't listen as she kept running seeing Mitsuri and the other hashira.

"AUNTY"

Mitsuri turned around and saw the little run at her with full speed. She smiled and opened out her arms which she ran into. "You're so cute Y/n!" Mitsuri squealed.

The other hashira were beyond confused at this not knowing who the girl was and why she was acting the way she was.

"Where's your mama?" Mitsuri asked looking around thinking her caregiver was nearby. She then saw Shinobu running to them then stopping to catch her breath.

"Shes fast!" Shinobu panted.

She then looked shocked to see the rest of the hashira.

"Mitsuri why is everyone else here?" Shinobu asked not happy in the slightest. She didn't want anyone to know about Y/n besides Mitsuri.

Mitsuri gulped.

"Mitsuri I was VERY clear that I didn't want her around so many new people" Shinobu said getting closer to her.

"MAMA!" Y/n yelled and wrapped her arms around her neck.

"You have a child?" Rengoku asked.

"Y/n is my little"

"I know what that is" Muchiro said.

He walked over to Y/n patting her head softly. She smiled and patted his head too. They both kept doing this until Shinobu pulled her away getting a little jealous.

"Why didn't you want her to meet us?" He asked.

"Because she has a hard time around new people and I was afraid you weren't going to accept her" Shinobu looked down to see you were no longer there. "WHERES Y/N?" Shinobu panicked. Everyone began looking around and saw she wasn't around.

"She could get hurt! We need to find her!" Mitsuri said. They split off into too groups Mitsui being with Obani and Shinobu with Uzui.

"I hope she's okay?" Mitsuri said.

"Im sure she's fine" Obani assured her.

As they continued forward Obani stopped Mitsuri as he heard something. They followed the noise to see Y/n crying next to a tree.

Mitsuri quickly ran next to her kneeling down. "Y/n we were so worried!"

She looked up to see a worried look on Mitsuris face. Guilt washed over her as she knew all the trouble she'd caused.

"I sowwy" Y/n cried.

Mitsuri hugged her.

"Its okay dear"

Obanis snake then slid up her arm as a way of saying hello.

"Hiiiii!" Y/n greeted the snake.

"Awwwww he likes you!"

Obani sighed and let her keep talking with his snake. Y/n held both Mitsuri and Obanis hand as they headed back. Both of them blushed brightly.

"Will you be my uncle?" Y/n asked.

"Sure.."

"YAYYYYYY!"

When they got back she quickly ran to her mama crying.

"Im so sowwy mama!"

"Its okay precious"

Y/n met all the other hashira after Shinobu explained what little space was. Muchiro and Uzui became her uncles and she got along with everyone else besides Sanemi and Giyu. Sanemi yelled at Rengoku and it scared Y/n so she avoided him and Giyu wanted little to nothing to do with her.

"Okay Y/n it's time to go home?" Shinobu called to Y/n who was coloring with Rengoku. She was drawing a butterfly while he was drawing a lion. "NO!" Y/n yelled back.

"Y/n..." Shinobu said giving her "the stare"

Y/n wasn't backing down though.

"No! I keep colowing with ren"

Everyone could sense the tension in the room.

"We can always play tomorrow Y/n Rengoku beamed.

Y/n thought about it for a minute. She didn't wanna get in trouble and she could always see everyone tomorrow.

Y/n walked over to Shinobu holding her arms up wanting to be carried. She picked her up and Y/n rested her head on Shinobus shoulder closing her eyes.

"Good girl"
