This is a bittersweet Broppy oneshot. It's inspired by a song. This takes place after the fight between Poppy and Branch. Yes this includes a song. It replaces "Perfect For Me". Yes, I know that song is amazing, I just heard this song and thought I might use for a oneshot revolving around this subject. ~No Air~

(Branch's POV)

What is she thinking... why is this even happening... why should I have to fight with her... I truly don't want to... I don't want to upset her... I just wanna be there for her... but I think I lost my chance...

"We are really different..." Poppy spoke.

"So different!" I added.

"Completely out of harmony..." She spoke.

"Completely!" I said without thinking.

"I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY WERE FRIENDS!!!" She said finally.

"Neither do I!" I said mindlessly.

I can't believe I just said that... it's all over... we're through... I never even had the chance to tell her how I felt... I'm so stupid...

I walked past her, not even looking for her reaction. Then, I stalled before disappearing into the woods. I held my tongue for a second, about to speak.

"So..." I started, "...Why do I..- care about you more than anybody else in the world..?"

What I'd said left her dumbfounded. She couldn't believe she heard that, or so I thought. Maybe she didn't care, at least I hope she did...

"...weird, ...right?" I held my tongue as I walked away, feeling like my heart had just shattered. She made me whole, but I guess I lost my chance. If only I weren't too much of a chicken to tell her how I truly felt, then maybe we could have worked this out.

Or maybe it would have still happened, but only stung more that time. My heart was completely revolved around her. And if I'm going to be honest, it still does. Yes, things happened, but I still care for her deeply. I can't lose her... no matter what.

I sat by the River and stared at my reflection. The more I tried to get her out of my head, the more I thought about her. I then felt myself start to cry. It really was over...

Wasn't it..?

(Narrator POV)

Poppy and Branch were torn apart, but still thinking about each other no matter what. The both cared for each other. Half of them wanted to run into the other's arms and never leave, whilst the other side of them want to avoid them cause they feel they'd still be mad at them.

Then, as most troll did when they're feeling a certain way, they'd sing. So both Poppy and Branch stared up at the sky and started to sing... (Yes I know it may remind you of Mordetwi and airplanes, BUT NO- it's a different song lmao-)

~Tell me how am I supposed to breathe with no air...~

"💖If I should die before I wake, that's cause you took my breath away💖" Poppy started.

"💖Losing you is like living in a world with no air...💖" she sang, crying and staring at the sky.

"💙I'm here alone, didn't wanna leave, my heart won't move it's incomplete...💙" Branch sang.

"💙Wish there was a way I could make you understand...💙" he sang.

~💖💙But how? Do you expect me?💙💖~

~💖💙To live alone with just me?💙💖~

~💖💙Cause my world revolves around you!💙💖~

~💖💙It's so hard for me to breathe!!!💙💖~

There were other creatures around that joined the chorus, but mostly Poppy and Branch's voices were heard.

~Can't live, can't breathe with no air...~

~Its how I feel whenever you ain't there...~

~There's no air...~

~No air...~

~Got me out here in the water so deep!~

~Tell me how your gonna be without me..?~

~If you ain't here, I just can't breathe...~

"💖No air, air, oh~💖" Poppy chorused sadly.

"💙No air, air, no, oh~💙" Branch chorused.

~💖💙No air, air, oh, oh💙💖~

~💖💙No air, air💙💖~

"💙I walked, I ran, I jumped, I flew... Right off the ground to float to you...💙" Branch sang.

"💙There's no gravity to hold me down for real...💙"

"💖But somehow I'm still alive inside... you took my breath and I survived...💖" Poppy sang.

"💖I don't know how, but I don't even care...💖"

Poppy and Branch both found themselves following each other into a water reflection and ended up in a haze together, singing and dancing...

Poppy and Branch held each other with sorry looks on their faces, they regretted fighting and they wanted to forget everything...

Then, they started to dance with each other...

~Can't live, can't breathe with no air!~

~Its how I feel when ever you ain't there...~

~Its no air, no air...~

They then drifted apart, still dancing but this time crying in despair and pain.

~Got me out here in the water so deep!~

~If you ain't here, I just can't breathe...~

"💖Got me out here in the water so deep...💖" Poppy sang

"💙Tell me how you're gonna be without me...💙" Branch sang.

They eventually returned from the reflection haze and ended up right in front of each other.

~💖💙No air...💙💖~

Both trolls just stared at each other, feelings rising. Both were feeling feelings of hurt, sorry and love at the same time. Both reached out to to the other.

Then, they couldn't handle it anymore. They ran to each other and collided into each other, holding the other tightly and never letting go.

The two were a sobbing mess, they were so sorry. They wanted to forget everything.

"I'm so sorry Branch!! I should have never fought you! I am gullible! And I'm so sorry!" Poppy said, sobbing over his shoulder.

"I should have seen the signs! I was trying to be the best queen and make everyone happy! But I failed Branch! I failed!!" Poppy cried.

"Hey, hey, shhh- it's okay... we still have another chance. We should give up yet, I believe in you, you've done things I never would have imagined and I find that inspiring. Poppy, you changed me, you made me a better troll. You're perfect the way you are, and I-" Branch stalled.

Poppy looked into his eyes, tears still falling down her face. Branch chase her tears away and smiled kindly at her, "...I love you,"

Poppy gasped in surprise, she couldn't believe it! He was hiding this? His feelings!? Then Poppy smiled with complete joy and hugged him and nuzzled him, "I love you too!"

Then then Poppy stopped hugging him, she looked into his eyes and then kissed him. Branch was of course taken by surprise, feeling a blush appear on his face. But then he kissed her back.

(Hickory POV, in the background)

"Sheesh-"
