Welcome, everyone. Today we have the lovely True_lies13

A big thank you to True_lies13 for taking the time to answer these questions.

If you haven't read her books then please do. They're amazing...

Without further ado...

...

1. What inspired you to start writing?

Honestly, what inspired me most was probably quotes and my depression. I always read these beautiful quotes that made me happy and I wanted to share my own in a story to bring others happiness.

2. Did you have any writers' block along the way? how did you get past them?

I had major writers' block! Lasted about 3 years! Recently I started writing again and have had no trouble with writers' block now (knock on wood). Usually to get past it though I just reread my stories and look at pictures on Weheartit in order to spark ideas.

3. Do you see yourself in any characters and why?

In almost every character! I always make the characters have their own traits and stuff, but something about them is like me. Whether it's eye colour, height, mood swings, or humour. The best character development comes from basing characters off of yourself, friends, or family.

4. How old are you?

I am currently a sophomore in college. Turning 20 this fall.

5. How old were you when you started writing?

I have always been a writer, ever since a young age. When I was about 12 I was introduced to Wattpad. Sadly, I didn't know how to write a story at the time. Once I was 14-15 though, I started my first actual story The Alpha's Young Mate.

6. Can you remember what you felt when you first started writing? what did you feel?

It felt amazing one minute when you first start getting those reads, but the next disappointing if it was getting too little reads/comments/votes suddenly. It really is exciting though and I feel like it pushes me to a limit that I need to be pushed too. I always want to get better and better.

7. What's your outside life like?

Outside life is kind of hectic! I am a pre-med college student balancing life and school. I am also currently in a 2 year long relationship (:

8. Where do you get your ideas from?

Like I said earlier, I get my ideas from quotes/pictures. I see something and I decide I want to try to make it a story. It's challenging that's for sure.

9. What do you like to do when you're not writing?

When I'm not writing I like to spend time with friends and family! I know it's bad to say this but I do party a lot haha but I love reading, drawing, working out and being with my nieces & nephews.

10. What does your family think about your writing?

Well, for starters I have 4 sisters (one that is my twin) and 3 brothers. We are all very different. Mainly my family doesn't even know that I write! I went under a fake name for a long time and just recently put my actual name (Amara Jane) on my stories. The family members that do know have never read my works but the encourage me to keep writing.

11. What do you think makes a good story?

In my opinion, a good story comes from a few personal experiences and things that you dream could be real. It needs to be unique to you and express you as a person to readers.

12. What's your favourite genre?

I would have to say my favourite genre is romance! Oh man am I a sucker for romance!

13. Do you write on wattpad or do you use software (like Microsoft word)?

I use Wattpad for all my writing. Love it so much I honestly never thought about using a software!

14. What's the hardest part for you to write, and why?

Hardest thing for me to write is regular romance stories. Just stories about two people falling in and out of love. It's a lot easier to write things like werewolf stories because you can make up literally anything and no one would question it!

15. Do you work on an outline or just go with the flow?

Go with the flow until I create an outline! In The Alpha's Young Mate though I never used an outline and it's really noticeable. I recommend an outline very strongly.

16. Do you have anything specific you want to say to readers?

Dear Readers, I love you so much. You inspire me every day and encourage me to write more and more! All I can say is THANK YOU for the support, it means a lot to us writers.

17. And lastly, Do you have any advice for new writers.

If you are a new writer, DON'T GIVE UP. Keep writing whenever you have the chance. You can only ever get better with each story, chapter, and paragraph. Don't worry about reads/votes/comments because it can be discouraging. Besides, I have found that when you finish a completed book you get more reads! People like not having to wait for updates so just keep it up and it will all pay off in the end! (:
