𝙏𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙙 ~Rack~
Rabastan_Lestrange requested a ddlb Rack one shot so here you go. It's my first time writing this kind of story so I hope I did good xxx
No one POV
Tired.
He was too tired.
That was the last drop.
He wanted to close his eyes forever and it could be either sleeping or dying.
Jack landed on the sofa with a loud thud, his body was too exhausted.
"SURPRISE!!"
His heart jumped out of his chest.
"Fuck! Jesus Christ" Jack held his hand to his chest, his heart was beating way too fast.
His boyfriend took a look at him and his mood dropped.
There were dark circles under Jack's eyes, his face pale and his hair was sticking in every direction.
Rye wrapped his arms around his boyfriend who started to cry non-stop at the touch.
"Shhh...it's ok. I'm here now"
They rocked back and forth for a while till Jack fell asleep in Rye's arms so he carried his small and super light figure to bed tucking him in.
Rye watched Jack sleeping but not with loving eyes, Rye was worried.
Jack always looked peaceful while sleeping but now his face looked stressed and he has never seen his boyfriend like this.
Rye had to go away for a while due to a family emergency back in Spain so he left Jack alone, flooded with stress and worries from school.
Rye felt guilty for leaving him alone in a stressful situation but he had to go.
His thoughts left his mind when Jack jolted awake in the middle of the night.
"Hey...hey" Rye engulfed him and he felt a wet patch on his shirt.
Jack grabbed his shirt and clung to him as his life depended on it.
The younger boy was slipping into little space.
It's a secret, no one knows about it and Jack tries to hide it, suppress it so he kinda has control over it but sometimes he can't help it.
Being apart from Rye for so long made everything worse and Jack tried to stay strong, he really tried but this was the last drop.
He had to give in.
"Baby, it's ok...do you need food or your stuffie?" Rye asked quietly because he knew that loud noises could make Jack feel worse.
Jack tried to speak but no words came out from his mouth.
"Breathe baby..."
Jack followed Rye's instructions and he stopped sobbing.
"Sing to me...pwease..."
Rye just nodded and started to hum a soft s melody, holding the younger boy close to his chest.
-Morning-
Rye didn't sleep much, too caught up in his thoughts.
He was so worried that he didn't know how to act.
Since he found out that Jack was little he has always been the one to solve all the problems like an actual dad (pun intended) but now he's just lost...
He didn't know how to make it better.
Jack shifted and opened his eyes, rubbing them with the back of his hand and Rye would find it extremely cute if he wasn't so worried.
Jack was still in little space.
There was a silence between the two boys but not an awkward one.
"Are you hungry?" Rye asked breaking the quietness of the room.
Jack just nodded because while he's little he's not a fan of talking.
Rye got up and headed to the kitchen to make Jack a bottle and he also prepared a fruit salad to share.
When he got back, he couldn't help but coo at the sight, Jack was curled up in bed watching something on the phone to keep himself busy with his messy hair and pajama on.
In that moment Rye remembered why he fell in love with the Irish boy.
"Baby, I have your food"
Rye handed him the bottle and Jack grabbed it drinking his milk right away.
After a few minutes, Rye had to ask the question.
"Baby, what happened while I was gone?"
Jack stopped drinking and looked away to avoid Rye's gaze.
"I need to know or else I won't know what to do to make you feel better. Can you do it for me?" Rye gently asked again making Jack look into his eyes.
"...things got hard...too much at school...th-they think I'm weird...missed you..." Jack managed to explain.
It wasn't detailed or clear but Rye got everything.
"You're not a weirdo ok? Don't even try to believe them and the stuffie didn't help?" Rye asked concerned.
The thought of Jack being alone, scared and helpless made Rye shiver.
"Lost it..." Jack admitted sounding so small.
"I'll find it for you and if I won't, I'll buy a new one"
"Fank you"
"I promise you, it'll get better"
Jack really hoped Rye was right because he didn't want to feel again like the last couple of weeks.
-a few days later-
Jack took some days off school, he can follow his lessons from home without any problem, that's the beauty of college.
Rye doesn't go to school and thank God he was able to work from home because Jack needed his boyfriend by his side.
"I'm home!" Rye said closing the door.
Within seconds Jack ran to him and hugged him so tight that Rye could barely breathe.
"Missed you"
"Missed you too baby but I have something for you. I know you loved your old stuffie but you lost it so I went to the store to get this" Rye said holding a stuffed sloth.
Jack's eyes lit up and he grabbed the stuffed animal hugging it close to his chest.
"Fank you!"
Jack has never been so happy and his happiness was contagious so Rye couldn't help but smile.
Jack looked at Rye and hugged him kissing him on his lips softly.
Rye didn't expect it because Jack was still in little space and kisses were rare.
Rye rested his hand on Jack's cheek looking at his eyes lovingly.
"I love you so much, you know that right?" Rye asked, lost in the other boy's eyes.
"Yes, dada" Jack replied even tho the answer was obvious.
Jack got better eventually, he started to slip less into little space now that Rye was with him 24/7 again.
Being in little space isn't something negative, Rye takes care of Jack each time and treats him like a king but Jack has school and a life so he had to get back on track eventually.
"Rye!" Jack called putting his school bag down by the entrance.
"Kitchen" he heard his boyfriend reply.
Rye was cooking and Jack smiled at the sight.
He hugged the older boy from behind resting his chin on his shoulder.
"How was school?" Rye asked while chopping some vegetables.
"Ok...nothing exciting happened" Jack didn't move from his position.
"Are you ok?" Rye stopped and turned around.
"You keep asking me that and the answer is always the same, I'm fine"
"I'm just worried. I don't mind you being little obviously, you know that. But even tho you look adorable in little space, it hurt me seeing you that miserable when I came back"
Jack looked into his boyfriend's eyes and wondered how he got so damn lucky.
"I know but I'm more than ok now, now that you're here with me. Being apart from you was the most difficult part"
Rye pulled Jack to his chest and they hugged tightly.
"I love you baby"
"I love you too"
