Sonny POV
"Sonny, mate! Come in, I'm so happy to see you"
"Hey Andy, missed you too" I said entering the house putting down my bags.
Then Andy gave me a warm hug and till that moment I forgot how short he was.
"Mikey! He's here!" he shouted then brought me to the kitchen.
"Sorry about Mikey, he's always late but I'll introduce you to the others in the meanwhile"
The other boys seemed pretty cool, I mean Andy told me a bit about them but meeting them in person is a different story.
Then Mikey appeared in the room, his curly hair kinda messy and the comfy outfit looked big on his small figure.
"Finally...well this is Mikey, you're basically gonna take his room so he'll show you the way" Andy said with a soft smile.
Mikey looked even better in person, I obv saw a couple of videos of the band and I might have a tiny crush on the curly boy.
You just need to play it cool Sonny and everything will go smoothly.
"Let's go upstairs" he said and took some of my bags.

"Here we are. this is your room now" he opened a door near the staircase.
The bedroom looked kinda big since there wasn't much in it, just a double bed and a big wardrobe.
"Brook is next door, he's kinda loud sometimes so good luck with that. Jack is next to Brook and Andy is down the hallway but don't go into his room cuz apparently, he hates it, I don't know he's weird. I'm gonna be in Rye's room for now since I'm still looking for a place" he explained while I looked around.
"Thanks..." I replied quietly.
"Well, now I'm gonna let you unpack. When you're done come downstairs cuz we have to go to the studio to record your first cover" he patted my back then left.
I sat on the bed and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, this whole band thing is gonna be a wild ride.

When I finished unpacking, I got ready and went downstairs where I found Mikey waiting for me.
"Am I late or something?" I asked looking around for the other guys.
"No, they left early to sort out some stuff so it's gonna be just me and you in the car. Don't worry, I don't bite" he joked.
I chuckled even tho I was dying inside, I mean...me and Mikey in a car? ALONE?!
He started driving towards the studio while we listened to some soft music.
"So how does it feel?" Mikey asked out of the blue.
"Well, the guys seem cool so I'm not that worried. Just nervous about the cover...about the fans..." I admitted while Mikey kept his eyes fixed on the road.
"You don't have to worry, I watched a couple of videos of you singing and you sound amazing. Andy is definitely gonna give you some great solos and the fans will fall in love with you in no time"
I was shocked at his statement...he watched my videos?!
"Don't act so surprised, I might not be in the band anymore but I still care about it so I had to see what the new guy was able to do"
I blushed at that then I asked him a question this time.
"So what are you gonna do now?"
He looked at me since we were at a red light.
"Well, I'm looking for a place and I'm gonna see how things go from there. I'm not a super organized person like Andy, I'm more of a free spirit" as he explained we arrived at the studio and nerves started to kick in.
"Don't worry too much. You're gonna do amazing, I'm sure of that" he rested his hand on my thigh and somehow that calmed me.

In the studio it went surprisingly well, Andy is still a perfectionist as I remembered but the others are pretty chill.
Rye has an amazing voice, his high notes sound even more angelic in person and the way Jack is so relaxed about everything is incredible, he's not bothered at all not even by Brook being annoying...yeah he's kinda weird.

On the way back home, I was once again with Mikey but this time I didn't feel intimidated by his presence as before, maybe cuz I was too tired to even think.
"You did amazing in there" Mikey said breaking the silence.
"Thanks...I'm still slightly nervous tho. I don't wanna be the guy who took your place..." I admitted.
"You won't take my place cuz you're not me, you're Sonny Robertson and everyone will love you for you. I'm 100% sure of this"
I blushed and tried to hide it looking outside of the window.
"Next weekend we are going to the club, just to have a bit of fun. You're coming with us right?" Mikey asked.
"Yeah, why not..." I replied then we stayed in a comfortable silence till we arrived home.

Time skip -next weekend-
I was getting ready to go to the club and to be honest, I wanted to look good, maybe Mikey will talk to me more since we've been super close all week long but I don't want to look like someone who tries too hard so I went for something simple but still classy.
This week with Mikey has been more than amazing, it felt like a dream.
He is hilarious, his smile and laugh are contagious and everyone loves him.
Also, he's been helping me with all the stuff about the band and I'm glad for his help, it's nice to have someone this close in a new environment.

I was putting on my rings when I noticed someone was staring at me from the doorstep.
"Can I help you?" I asked trying to hide my laugh.
"Emm...sorry. Are you ready to go?" Mikey slightly blushed and he looked incredibly cute.
"Yep, all done. We can go"
As usual, the other 4 lads were in Rye's car while me and Mikey decided to walk since the club wasn't that far away.
The cold air was hitting my face but I wasn't cold cuz the excitement was running through my body.
"I hope the music is good or else I'll stick to the bar" Mikey said stuffing his hands into his pockets to keep them warm.
"Well I can't dance so it's gonna be definitely the bar for me, maybe I'll try to hit on the bartender to get free drinks" I joked but Mikey didn't laugh or chuckle...
Eventually, we arrived at the club and it was packed, I was surprised that we were able to find the other guys in that crowd.
We started with a few shots and as the night went on, we ordered more drinks and the group kinda split up, only me and Mikey stayed away from the dance floor.

Around 2 am we started to walk back home, I was tipsy but not drunk while Mikey looked perfectly normal.
The moonlight made his blue eyes even lighter and I couldn't get my eyes off him.
"Watch out!" he laughed pulling me towards him to avoid a pole.
"Thanks" I said then I noticed that our chests were touching and that our faces were extremely close.
Mikey cleared his throat and I pulled away trying to avoid his gaze.
"Was I dreaming or did Andy and Jack kiss at one point?" I asked trying to change the subject.
"Yeah but I'm not surprised cuz there was definitely something going on between them" Mikey laughed.
We kept walking in complete silence but I was fucking freezing and I started to shiver heavily.
Mikey seemed to notice so he wrapped his arm around my waist and it actually helped since being so close to him makes my skin tingle.

Once home we made it upstairs safely and Mikey turned to me to say goodnight but I stopped him.
"Rye will bring that girl over so you can sleep in my room, there's plenty of space"
It sounded more like a beg than a suggestion.
Mikey looked at me for a couple of seconds then nodded his head and followed me to my room.
Both of us got in bed with just boxers and we laid there, next to each other with our eyes fixed on the ceiling.
There was definitely some tension going on and I didn't know what to do or say.
"So... the first impression about the boys? Don't worry I won't tell them anything" Mikey broke the silence turning on his side to look at me.
I turned to my side too and he looked even more beautiful, I wanted to touch his curly hair so bad for some reason.
"I think Brook is crazy but in a good way obv, Rye is too fit and I would definitely feel uncomfortable being at the beach with him, Jack looks like he's high 24/7, to be honest, Andy is like I remembered kinda and...you...em..."
I felt my heart pounding in my chest and words weren't even coming out, it got worse when Mikey got closer and I'm sure I stopped breathing for a second there.
"What about me?" he asked with a whisper.
"You're breathtaking..." I confessed it was probably thanks to the alcohol.
He looked at me confused and I found the courage to explain.
"In my life I've never seen someone laughing the way you do, singing the way you do, being as perfect and unique as you do. I saw tons of videos and my favorite parts are always the ones with you..."
At that point I didn't even know what to think, what Mikey was thinking but what happened next caught me off guard...he kissed me.
When people say that they feel butterflies, it's true cuz that's how it feels but when we pulled apart, I had to back away.
It was getting a bit overwhelming so I moved to sit at the end of the bed and hid my face in my hands, is this really happening?
"Hey...are you ok?" Mikey's soft voice echoed in the quiet room.
I nodded and he grabbed my hands to pull them away from my face.
"Not it's my turn...when Andy suggested you, I asked him tons of questions about you. I wanted to know everything and I'm sure Andy was getting annoyed by me at some point but for some reason, everything that involved your name was interesting to me. Then when you arrived here, I was speechless. Y-you are even better than in video..." he confessed.
I didn't know what to say and in no time our lips were touching again, it was a soft touch and all the nervousness faded away.
When we pulled apart, he dragged me back under the covers and he cuddled my side.
I was pretty shocked and my lips were still tingling from the kiss, is this a dream?
"Your heart is beating so fast...you don't have to be nervous...I mean I obv have feelings for you but we can take things slowly" he said looking up at me and his lashes looked even longer.
"Yeah..." I simply replied kissing his temple.
This whole band experience will be interesting...
