the boys just stared at her in shock. not a bad shock,  but they were definitely confused as to why she was here. they figured daniel would explain to them what happened. after standing in the doorway for a couple minutes in awkward silence, daniel decided to say something.

"so," he cleared his throat, "this is elizabeth, and elizabeth this is jack, zach, corbyn, and jonah."

"nice to meet you," she smiled at them, and the 4 boys returned it.

"you're elizabeth?!" corbyn asked, eyes wide.

"um, yeah," she laughed at the boys reaction.

"wanna sit on the couch?" daniel asked her trying to get elizabeth away from his friends, as he motioned towards the black leather couch in the back of the room.

"sure," she began walking toward the couch, and sat down. she didn't realize that daniel wasn't following her, so when she looked back she saw him talking with his friends.

"okay no offense, but why is she here," jonah whispered, making sure the girl didn't hear him because he didn't want to hurt her feelings.

"i'll explain later just- just let her stay here for a bit, she won't bother us while we're working, i promise," he sighed, and his friends gave him a look of annoyance.

they were more annoyed at him because he didn't give them a heads up that she was coming over, but they realized it was probably for a good reason.

"fine," jack said, nodding his head slowly.

daniel walked over to the girl and he smiled, "sorry, i had to talk with them."

"don't worry about it," she looked at him, "they're not like, mad that i'm here, right?"

"no, no, just surprised is all," he said, glancing over to his friends who were already back to working on a song they had been recording all day.

"sorry to break the party up," jack clapped his hands together, "but we need to steal daniel from you."

"oh, okay. i'll be here," elizabeth smiled at him, before he turned around to join his group of friends on the other side of the room. she took this opportunity to text her friends about what happened today, since she hadn't updated them on daniel in a while.
