it was a normal day for daniel, he went to the studio to work on the band's album just like they have been for the past couple of months. he was sitting in the lounge area, on instagram, until one of his friends, zach, came into the room.

"hey daniel? why is the whole fandom freaking out about this girl?" zach asked daniel, showing him his phone with a picture of a brunette.

"she's a friend, i guess," daniel said hesitantly.

"do the rest of the boys know about her? you haven't talked about her, to any of us," zach said, sitting down on the couch next to daniel before he continued, "i would tell them sooner rather than later so they don't find out about her from the drama accounts."

daniel sighed, "yeah, yeah i will. just, for the time being, keep this conversation between us?"

"of course."

daniel sighed once again, setting down his phone, "i'm gonna step outside, get some fresh air. tell them that i'll be back in like, ten minutes."

"will do, want me to come with you?" zach asked, slightly worried for his friend, and wondering why he was stressed.

"no it's okay, thanks," daniel smiled before walking out the door.

he took a deep breath, and began his walk. he didn't know why he was so stressed out, he barely talked to elizabeth. he figured that he was mostly worried for her because when his fans find out about a girl, especially if they're associated with the boys, they jump to conclusions rather quickly.

he tried his best to keep his mind off of everything, but he also knew that he should tell jack, corbyn, and jonah about elizabeth. although they weren't dating, daniel didn't want anyone assuming that.

after 15 minutes of daniel walking circles around fr block, he began walking back to the studio, building up the courage to talk to his band mates. he entered the building, taking another deep breath. he walked into the room where his group of friends were.

"hey guys," daniel started, "can we talk?"

the boys turned their attention to him, slightly worried about what he was going to say.

"it's nothing bad, so don't worry too much," daniel laughing slightly, "i'm not sure if you guys have seen yet, but there's a girl. her names elizabeth and she added me off of snapchat and did one of those lyric prank tiktoks. before you ask, no, we're not dating. i figured i should tell you guys this now before you see her on the drama accounts and jump to conclusions."

his group of friends looked at him, and nodded slowly. they honestly weren't bothered at all, and in all honesty, they were happy that daniel was talking to a girl. dating, or not, they still wanted him to be happy. the three of them exchanged a look, daniel standing in front of them confused as to what the look meant.

daniel looked at zach, and zach turned to daniel, shrugging his shoulders. daniel sighed, worried about his friends responses.

"okay," jonah said bluntly.

"okay? that's it? you guys aren't like, mad?" daniel asked, a little shocked.

"mad?" corbyn laughed, "why would we be mad?"

"i don't know," daniel said softly.

"whether you guys are dating or not, we're happy for you," jack smiled at the blonde boy, daniel returning it.

daniel sighed in relief as he sat down on the couch again, pulling out his phone, only to see that elizabeth texted him.
