keira was the last one to arrive at school out of her group of friends. she was greeted by sofia and elizabeth mid-conversation in front of elizabeth's locker. once the two girls noticed her walking up to them, they turned to her and smiled.

"look who decided to show up," elizabeth said with a joking tone, while smiling at keira.

"shut up, we're gonna be late for class," keira rolled her eyes, beginning her walk to her first class.

"meet on the grass for lunch?" sofia asked the two, before heading off in the opposite direction.

"we'll be there," elizabeth answered for herself, and keira. as soon as she did so, the bell rang and the crowded hallway became emptier and emptier by the second as students hurried to their classes.

keira and sofia were the only ones who shared a class together out of the friend group. to say elizabeth was disappointed when she got her schedule, finding out she didn't have any classes with her best friends, was an understatement. for almost every class, she wasted her time staring out the window while tapping her pencil against her desk every now and then.

the school day was halfway done when the bell rang, announcing it was lunch time. elizabeth was the first to arrive at the friend groups spot on the grass. not long after she noticed the two brunettes running towards her.

"so, we never finished our conversation about daniel," keira said to elizabeth as she sat down along with sofia.

"what do you mean? there was nothing else to be said about the situation," elizabeth shrugged as she began grabbing the food stored in containers in her bag.

"you're telling me that you guys didn't talk at all after you finished the prank?" keira asked raising her eyebrows slightly and tilting her head to the right, waiting for a answer from her friend.

"all i said after was that i was sorry for pranking him, and that it was for a tiktok," elizabeth said honestly it's her friends, "he asked for my tiktok account, and of course i gave it to him, but since then we haven't spoken a word."

"do you think you'll continue to talk to him?" sofia asked, taking a bite of her food.

"maybe, i'm not really sure yet. there's nothing left to say," elizabeth shrugged her shoulders once again, looking down at her bowl of food.

they didn't continue their conversation after elizabeth's last words, so they spent the last 5 minutes of their lunch to finish eating their food. the bell had rang once again, telling students that class was about to begin. the girls got up and said their goodbyes before parting ways once again.

time skip to after school

elizabeth made the decision to walk home from school so she could think. it was a bit warmer today, but still chilly, so she wanted to get home quickly. when she arrived back at her house, she went straight up to her bedroom. she pulled out all of her school books, and notebooks, beginning her homework. she worked on her homework for about an hour and a half before getting bored, so she decided to take a break.

her phone was sitting in front of her, and for some reason she had a sudden urge to text daniel. it wasn't like they were friends or anything, so it weirded elizabeth out a little bit considering she liked to keep her circle small.

without a second thought, she opened up snapchat and began texting him, not really expecting a response. 5 minutes pass and he does reply.
