it was now 2 in the morning, and the 3 girls were fast asleep. the television was still playing a show that none of them knew about, but they decided to keep it playing to make the dark room less scary.

time skip to the morning

keira was the first to wake up, opening her eyes slightly trying to adjust to the sudden brightness of the sun shining through the window, filing the room. after about 5 minutes of laying there she decided to go into the kitchen to get some coffee. sofia woke up soon after, she assumed that all of the noise in the kitchen was coming from keira, since sofia had noticed that her spot was empty. elizabeth on the other hand, was still fast asleep, not being bothered by the ruckus coming from the kitchen. just like keira, sofia decided to go into the kitchen after laying in her spot for about 10 minutes.

"good morning sleepy head," keira said to sofia with a smile, seeing her walk through the door way.

"morning," sofia replied, rubbing her eyes out of tiredness.

"do you want anything?" keira asked, "i could make you a cup of coffee while i'm here if you want."

"yeah sure, that'd be great, thank you," sofia said softly with a smile. with that, keira got busy making another cup of coffee.

like every other sleepover, elizabeth was the last to wake up. the first thing she did was check her phone, of course. once she got bored of that she decided to join her friends in the kitchen.

"hey party people," elizabeth laughed slightly, not wanting to startle to two girls who were mid-conversation.

"morning," sofia and keira said in unison with a smile.

"there should be some left over coffee if you want some, if there isn't then i could make you some," keira said sweetly to her friend, who was now walking over to the table, taking a seat across from sofia.

"no, i'm okay, thanks for the offer," elizabeth smiled at her friend, and reached for her phone.

"do we want to go out for breakfast? or do we wanna try and make something here?" sofia asked the two after a couple minutes of silence.

"let's go out to eat, i'm too lazy to cook right now," elizabeth said to the brunette, covering her mouth as she yawned.

"sounds like a plan," keira smiled, "any ideas as to where we might wanna go?"

"my vote's for chick-fil-a," elizabeth said with a laugh.

"of course it is," sofia rolled her eyes, "but yeah, sure, i think that sounds like a plan. keira? what do you say?"

"i'll drive," keira grinned at her friends before getting up and grabbing her keys.

the three girls figured it would be fine to stay in the pajamas they were dressed in since they were going to go through the drive-thru anyway. once they arrived they ordered their food, soon after receiving the bag of their assortment of edible goods, they made their way back home. it was a short drive there and back, since there wasn't much traffic. as soon as they got home they all started eating their food. after about an hour of snacking on their food, and talking elizabeth checked the time on her phone and realized she had to get home.

"i have to go home," elizabeth frowned at her friends. sofia and keira both gave her sad look, but they also understood that she needed to get going.

"we'll hang out soon," sofia smiled, as keira nodded her head.

"yeah for sure," elizabeth said giving her friends a hug. she grabbed her belongings, and they said their goodbyes, after that elizabeth started making her way home.

since they all lived in the neighborhood, elizabeth walked home every time the three of them had a sleepover. it was a cold sunday, but she could still get away with wearing a t-shirt and not getting too chilled. after about 10 minutes she was finally greeted by her front door. without any hesitation, she walked into her house. she immediately got a whiff of the food that her mom had been preparing for dinner. after a couple of seconds, she realized her mom and dad weren't home, and to this she frowned slightly.

she made her way to her room, and started unpacking all of the things she brought to the sleepover. when she was done she fell onto her bed, picking up her phone to text her friends that she got home safe. when the text had been delivered she opened snapchat. she had totally forgot that she added the random guy. she then remembered the reason as to why she added him. she and her friends wanted to do a "lyric prank" on him. since she had nothing better to do at the moment, she decided to send him a selfie with the opening lyrics.

"what's the worst that could happen?" she asked herself as she took a selfie, adding the lyrics onto the picture, "hey daniel, you're my best friend."

she debated whether she wanted to send it or not for a good minute, but then she sent it without even thinking. she anxiously waited for a response.

daniel on the other hand was quite surprised, and confused, as to why he just got a notification saying  "from elizabeth". when he opened it, he was even more confused as to what her message said

"i'm her best friend i- what?" he asked himself furrowing his eyebrows ever so slightly. he decided to send a selfie back with text saying "huh?"

elizabeth saw the notification that said he had sent her a picture in response, and immediately her heart dropped. she contemplated opening it for quite sometime, nervous about what his response was. but when she did open it, it was just a selfie of him with text on it that read "huh?" she laughed at his confusion. she screenshotted it, and this action left daniel even more confused.

elizabeth then took another selfie, and added the text that said "but there's a few things that you don't know of." and sent it to him with a little smile on her face. a couple minutes went by before she got a response from the boy. and when she did get the notification saying that he replied, she found herself excited to open it. he sent a casual selfie back to her, with text on it that read "do tell me what i don't know, then". she smiled when she read it, then took another selfie with the lyrics, "why i borrow your lipstick so often" and sent it to him.

daniel immediately opened it, curious to find out what she had said. elizabeth had been screenshotting his responses hoping he wasn't uncomfortable. it was the same routine every time, she sent a selfie, he opened it, he sent a response back, she opened it. she finally got to the lyric that said "we should be lovers instead, i don't know how to say this because you're really my dearest friend." out of all of the lyrics she had sent to daniel, she was most nervous to send him this, mostly because she didn't want him thinking she was some kind of creep.

when he opened it his eyes widened slightly, but just like every other time, he sent a selfie back, this time the text read "oh?" elizabeth was horrified to open up his snap, so instead she went back down stairs to watch a movie in attempt to take her mind off of what just happened. daniel was slightly disappointed when he didn't get a response back from the girl, but he decided to just be patient.
