sami is a real sweetheart. she's totally soft in every way—soft for her friends, for cute pets (she has taken in so many animals), for BABIES. oh god, keep men away from her, or she will have a baby just to have a baby of her own. it's a really good thing she's never wanted men like that.
being a huge softie goes hand-in-hand with being as sweet as she is. she's so idealistic and happy-go-lucky—she sees the absolute best in everyone. she can pretty much be anybody's friend for it.
sami's a little (a lot) timid, too. she generally lacks confidence in herself in matters that don't involve her brain, so she tries not to be too flashy. she rarely calls attention to herself or speaks when she isn't spoke to. usually her head is stuck in a book. and parties? she has no idea what to do at parties. it's bad. she really needs someone to get her acting less shy and more true to herself.
she's a genius, though, and her straight a's prove it. good grades are nice and all, but sami has no idea what she wants to do with her life, so there's that. she's leaning towards being an author.

✮ strengths & flaws ✮
sami is super smart and super sweet. she has a heart big enough for every person she meets and for every one of her animal friends (she has a duck, a few salamanders, a puppy, an old cat, and a cardinal she found abandoned under its nest).
she's always been earnest after meeting and befriending others, but she's usually too shy to speak to new people. they can be so intimidating, you know? she's indecisive, and lacks direction with what she wants to do with herself. she's content being sort of invisible. it's not a great quality.

✮ backstory ✮
sami grew up in a pretty traditional household. spurred on by her first-gen parents, she read a ton as a kid. and because her parents were hesitant about letting her play with the neighborhood kids outside the safety of her own driveway, most of her entertainment came from books. so that's how she fell hard in love with them. books were her first friends, which unfortunately meant she was often a lonely kid.
it didn't help that she was constantly compared to her older sister, rimsha, who was literally perfect at everything AND popular. how?! rimsha already graduated high school and is on her way to law school.
being successful meant going to the best schools, and hathaway prep was the best, so that was where sami went. the rest is history.
