𝐑𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 suddenly halted in her footsteps. Arms had winded themselves around her waist and lifted her into the air. The soft breath of laughter hit the skin of her cheek making her shiver when she recognized who the chuckle had belonged to.
She clutched the forearms wrapped tightly around her as she was spun in a circle before being placed on the ground gently and turned to face the man who had caught her. She smiled at the familiar face, placing her hands gently on his chest.
"I found you." Aemonds permanent smirk stared down at her, keeping one hand on her waist he brought the other up to tuck a strand of her silver hair behind her ear.
Shaking her head and pursing her lips she spoke softly in a teasing manner. "I wasn't aware I was hiding." At the roll of his eye, she laughed as she entwined her arm with his so she could continue her stroll through the gardens. She did this every day for the past six years, a hobby that Aemond was more than happy to partake in with her.
Their wedding day was fast approaching and it didn't bother Rhaella, if anything she was excited. Aemond had been nothing but attentive and caring, and she knew he would do well on keeping the promise he had made all those few years ago. Rhaella had been anxiously waiting to hear any news on her mother and brothers' arrival to Kings Landing since they were due any day for the wedding taking place in a week's time.
"I was hoping you might accompany me on a ride with Vhagar?" Aemond spoke stopping her from walking any further, her eyes flitting up to meet his.
Reaching up she ran her thumb along the scar under the eyepatch, smiling softly when he closed his eye in content forgetting what he had asked her for the moment. Rhaella lent up on the tips of her toes to press a kiss on the corner of his lips, the closest she could get unless they were somewhere private.
Lowering herself, he opened his eye when her hand slowly pulled away.
"I would love to."
The walk to Vhagar was made in comfortable silence. There weren't many things to talk about after living in the same place for six years with only one another's company. Still Aemond always found himself in her presence.
Once to the large dragon Rhaella was the first one to climb up with Aemonds assistance who held her waist as she steadied herself enough to climb the rest of the way on her own. Vhagar helped the young girl by lowering her massive form as low to the ground as she could. The old dragon had grown an attachment to Rhaella that even Aemond himself couldn't quite understand.
Rhaella gripped the ropes until Aemond climbed on behind her and took the reins from her. He locked his arms around her waist, resting his arms on the leather of her riding gear, commanding Vhagar to take flight in Valyrian as he pressed his lips close to the shell of Rhaellas ear.
The wisps of silver hair that were not secured into the tight braids in her hair had begun flying around as the wind hit her face. Feeling fingers entwine with hers she turned her head to the side, her nose brushed Aemonds while their entwined hands raised into the air, the reins resting against the saddle. Aemond pressed a gentle kiss against her neck. His hands left hers as his fingers glided down the smooth skin of her arms.
A shiver went down her spine as the wetness from his kisses cooled against her skin. She kept her eyes locked on his before she closed her eyes, leaning into him. Rhaella waited with bated breath, wanting to feel the softness of his lips against her own.
Allowing her lips to hover over his own, Aemond brought his hand to grip the back of her neck. He pulled her lips harshly against his own, his fingers pulled at the strands at the back of her neck causing her to gasp at the sting.
Rhaella rested her hand on his forearm which was still holding her waist. The movements of his lips were rough and confident against her own. Beginning to feel his tongue poking at her bottom lip she slowly went to pull away.
Aemond smirked, catching her lip between his teeth. Slowly releasing and watching it pop back into place. Her eyes were almost in a haze while his one eye that had turned dark was following her lips before rising to meet her eyes.
"You are testing my patience, issa jorrāelagon." (my love). Aemond whispered against the softness of her lips, pressing them gently together once more before adjusting his attention back to the sky knowing her surprise would be waiting for them back at the Red Keep when they landed.

Not long after they had made it back to the dragon pit did Aemond instruct her to go on ahead. She hadn't argued, she rather needed to get a bath seeing as it was getting rather late by the time she and Aemond had returned.
Walking through the halls she saw maids racing through the halls in hushed whispers. Furrowing her brows she continued to make her way to her chambers.
The guard who Aemond had assigned to her nodded in the Princesses direction as he pushed open her door allowing her to step inside. The guard closed it behind her. The quietness of her chamber made her sigh, enjoying the silence with the only light source being a few candles placed around the room.
"You've grown so much." A familiar voice called out behind her causing Rhaella to jump at the sudden noise. Tears sprung to her eyes when the figure walked out of the shadows, white hair gleaming in the moonlight. "ñuha zaldrītsos." (my little dragon)
Rhaella had all but ran into her mother's arms, wrapping herself in her embrace. Rhaenyra laughed with her own tears in her eyes, running her hand over her daughter's hair. "I missed you, mother."
The mother and daughter hadn't seen each other for two years nearly three. The only way of communication being letters since the Queen always had Rhaella preparing to be a wife, and to be ready to bear Aemonds children. All the preparing hadn't left any time for the young Princess to visit her mother or brothers on Dragonstone.
The lack of visits had been one of Rhaenyras reasons she had been hesitant in leaving her oldest daughter in the hands of Kings Landing.
"How have you been?" Rhaenyra asked as they sat on the furs covering Rhaellas bed, the fire crackling while the older woman's hands ran through her hair undoing the many braids. "Has he been treating you well?"
Rhaella sighed in content, leaning back once all the braids were out to lay on her mother's shoulder. "I'm so happy here, mother." A sad smile appeared on Rhaenyras face at that. "It saddens me that I am not able to visit you."
"It won't be this way for much longer, I promise." Rhaenyra kissed her daughter's head.
Rhaella lay with her mother, talking about the upcoming wedding and everything that was on her mind.
"Does he make you happy?" Rhaenyra asked, her voice serious making Rhaella tense not understanding the hatred that her family had for one another.
"Of course." Rhaella told her the truth, she was the happiest when she was with him. "Aemond already seems to have names for our future children." The topic of children hadn't been something the teens had forced it was a duty that was expected of them that was true but the subject had come up when they were laying in a field with Vhagar beside them after a short flight to one of the nearby islands.
Rhaenyra couldn't hide her surprise at Aemonds interest in the kids he would eventually have with Rhaella. As far as she had seen Aemond had been closed off to the world since he had lost his eye, a cold wall that melted only around Rhaella.
Rhaenyra didn't respond but she did smile at her daughter, running her hand over her cheek. Rhaella looked so much like her, it was eerie, but it was refreshing to see that her daughter had been betrothed to someone that made her happy unlike she had been with Laenor. Her daughter had been good at not making the same mistakes she had when she was young.
She was proud of the woman her daughter was becoming. "I'm happy for you, my love."
