"Where do I know you from? You look..." You walked closer to the figure, "Familiar..." You began to examine the boy, circling in and eyeing every inch of his body. You grabbed a piece of his hair and speculated the blonde lock, the boy's breath began to fidget from the tension.
"It could be all of the posters scattered around the city." He spoke as his hand hit his thigh, you stood in front of him.
"No... I don't think that's it. I know you from somewhere, I just don't know where." You denied as you continued to think who he could be.
Your hand still rambling through his hair, Chat noir put his staff on his lower back causing you to pull away. "How so?" He tilted his head.
"Call me crazy but you look like a boy I know." You squinted your eyes.
He looked a lot like Adrien but there was something telling me it wasn't, he was different from the boy I met today.
"Can I know the boy?" Chat noir questioned, you crinkled your nose.
"I don't know black cat you might humble yourself over him, I heard he has all the ladies running after him." You rolled your eyes trying to hide a smile.
"Well, maybe I'm not the prince charming of Paris, but ladies all over the city love me. Although I could be loyal and stick to my new purrincess." Chat noir smirked leaning in on your lips, your chin fell as you tried to hide back a blush.
"New? What happened to your old princess." You smirked, the boy's smile shortly faded. Both the hero's eyes and cat ears fell, he puffed a breath of air.
I shouldn't have said that, choose your words wisely.
"She told me she didn't love me." His voice was filled with pain and despair. "I was blindly in love with her, she opened my eyes and told me her truth."
"I'm sorry." You apologized but he quickly shook his head. You could tell something more was on his mind but decided to not pester. For you could understand his distress, you felt a personal connection which was weird.
"It's okay, I know you meant no harm." He paused, hinting at a smile. "Can you be my princess?" His mouth pouted as he fixed his gaze. The two of you stood in silence, your soft gaze landed on the boy as his head bent down to his toes. You hardly knew the boy but you didn't want to hurt the hero's feelings.
So like a rebound?
You radiated a warm smile causing the mood to lift, "But I just met you." You playfully crossed your arms, leaving a small chuckle.
"When I look at you it seems like I've known you for eternity." The boy grabbed your hands, You narrowed your eyes.
Two can play that little game.
"you're a soft chaton aren't you." You grinned placing a hand on his heart as you looked deep into his eyes. The two of you locked eyes as if in that moment your souls have made a bridge.
You leaned in close to the boy, his heart beating steady. Your faces were only so close, you could feel the heat of his breath. You had a flirtatious grin wrenching your eyebrows, "Who really are you?" You continued to batter your eyelashes at the boy.
The boy beamed with a grin, "That's a secret."
"I'll keep the secret, you could trust me." You looked up through your lashes, your hand still placed on his heart.
"Now now (y/n), it wouldn't be a secret would it." His lips parted as he giggled.
Playing with his bell you chuckled but you squinted your eyes. "Now how do you know my name, Mystery boy?" The boy's eyes widen, parting his lips to say a word. "Were you stalking me?"
"Of course I wasn't." Chat furrowed his eyebrows as he scratches the back of his head.
"Then how do you know my name, and how did you know I was eating earlier?" You waved your finger in his face.
"A friend of mine told me I should keep an eye on you, that's all." He crossed his arms, still inches close.
"Who's your friend?" You turned sharply on your heels but before you could step foot away from the situation Chat grabbed your wrist.
"Adrien Agreste." Chat spoke up, and you turned to meet his gaze.
"Oh, so you know lover boy." You scoffed, the hero didn't find the name amusing.
"Loverboy? He's a good kid, he doesn't focus on the attention you say he receives." His eyebrows knitted together. "Mr. Model may be pretty but he has some issues of his own." Chat seemed offended somehow like you said something ruthless.
"Yup, he sure is something." You softly sat down on the rusty rooftop.
"What does that mean?" Chat tilted his head.
"He's just in his own world."
"Hey, that's my friend." He snapped back, you gave him a look.
"Watch it Goldilocks, I know he might be going through something. And whatever that may be I want to help him, I owe him. Believe me, he's the nicest person I've met." You sighed, the hero sat beside you but you gave him no attention. Instead, you watched the stars shine in the moon-lighted sky. "He helped me today at school, everyone was so rude and cold, it reminded me of the time before I came to Paris. When I was lost in the dark and afraid of the light. But this kid just randomly cared so much for me, and with that, he pulled me into the light like it was nothing."
"As I said, I don't mean it in a bad way. He just helped me today, and I really wish I could repay him with whatever he may be going through." The boy watched your eyes glistened against the stars, he didn't know what to say. You looked back at him but instead of a flirty compliment, he stood in shock.
Great you freaked him out. You have to stop babbling your feelings to random people.
"I really don't know why I am telling you this, I hardly know who you are. I know you know Adrien, and your his friend but jus-" You went on but the boy cut you off.
"I won't tell him I promise." He grabbed your hand, "I'm sure he's grateful to have you as a friend."
A friend? Kind of a slap in the face and a hint of pain but at least I have a friend. Hearing it out loud wasn't that bad, he was a ... Friend.
You beamed with a smile, "I have a friend!" You cheered.
Don't get me wrong, I've had friends before but that was another time.
"You have two." The masked hero smiled, the two locked eyes again.
"Thank you." You gave him a soft simper.
The hero's staff began to ring and buzz, he flipped it open to see a small screen displayed on the staff. "Looks like Paris needs the famous Chat noir, duty calls." Chat quickly got up and began to run.
"Wait how am I supposed to get down!" You shouted out as you got up on your feet.
"Just wait for me, I'll be back for you princess!" He yelled as he jumped off the building and disappeared into the darkness.
You sat back down on the cold roof watching the stars, you plugged in your headphones and began to listen to music as you waited. The wind rushed against your face, crashing against your eyelids.
Upon these undulating horizon, the view from the rooftop was as a black wave that glittered with light. The view from the roof gave a sense of perspective that calmed my soul, that made the everyday struggles shrink.
Time passed, you were still sitting on the roof waiting for Chat noir. You looked at your phone, it began to ring. It was your mom, you declined and sent her to voice mail.
8:57, ugh great. So much for a knight and shining armor.
MIRACULOUS LADYBUG
And with that, a huge bright pink wave of ladybugs rushed against the horizon. A batch of ladybugs flowed over you, your hand swiftly reached for the sky.
You felt the breeze hit the palm of your hand, everything that was going on felt like a lucid dream.
"You must be the new girl chat won't stop blabbering about," A female with a red and black polka dot suit approached you, she smiled. She was confident and well-shaped, born to be a leader. "I'm ladybug"
You turned around and quickly got up from your post. "He sure is a bundle of joy." You rolled your eyes, "I'm (y/n)"
