"OKAY class, this week you'll be writing an essay on how your baby's doing. and for some of us", aizawa looked at specific students in the class. "some of us will be doing an extra project as punishment".

kaminari groaned along with sero and a few others. aizawa ended up finding out that hoshimi and yuki's life was out in danger.

apparently sailing out into the ocean and almost being attacked by a shark was not "rational".

hoshimi awkwardly chuckled as she looked at all her friends apologetically.

"class dismissed!", aizawa announced, sighing. he got out his sleeping bag from under the desk and got in.

shigaraki walked out of class, waiting for hoshimi.

"ready?", hoshimi asked, tapping shigaraki on the shoulder.

shigaraki just nodded.

both went back to hoshimi's dorm to work on the extra assignment that aizawa assigned. because of hoshimi's recklessness, all her friends that were at the beach had to write an extra essay on the anatomy of the baby.

after almost 5 hours of straight writing, both college students sighed.

"dinner?"

"dinner".

hoshimi held his hand, walking to her car. shigaraki had insisted on driving many times, but hoshimi said it was good practice for her since she got her license not too long ago.

"where are we going for dinner today?", shigaraki asked, making sure tomi was secured in the backseat.

"guess", hoshimi smiled, focusing on the road.

"chick-fil-a?"

"nope!"

"mcdonald's?"

"nah!"

"I give up", shigaraki sighed.

"we're here!", hoshimi said as she grabbed the infant seat and walked into yoshinoya with shigaraki.

"we'll take two bowls of gyūdon!", hoshimi ordered with a smile.

"right away", the waiter said, leaving them with some water.

"so, mina and eijiro's holding a party for the 4th of july. you wanna come? it's in two weeks", hoshimi asked.

"sure. what are we doing?", shigaraki asked.

hoshimi first texted dabi, toga, and twice, asking if they wanted to join.

"we're swimming in the afternoon, having dinner, then watching fireworks", hoshimi replied.

shigaraki just nodded as their food arrived.

"by the way, I never asked, but what do you major in?", hoshimi asked, eating her beef.

"oh. I major in business since my father owns a big corporation. he wants me to inherit his company", shigaraki explained.

"are you going to intern at his company?"

"probably. you?"

"I'm thinking of interning at a nearby hospital for 2 weeks. I want to really get a feel of being a doctor, or at least an assistant you know?"

shigaraki just nodded, listening to hoshimi talk.

two weeks went by quickly as things went well and everything was normal.

"EIJI! DID YOU BRING THE BALLOONS?!", ashido yelled from across the community pool.

they had rented it out just for today. ashido and kirishima really outdid themselves, hosting a party for their close friends.

"YEAH!! BAKUBRO ALSO BROUGHT THE FOOD!", kirishima yelled back.

hoshimi smiled as her, shigaraki, toga, twice, and dabi arrived.

"wow! y'all set this up nicely", twice complimented.

"thanks", ashido replied, somewhat stressing. she had hoped that everything was here as she didn't want to throw a lame party.

"we're hereeeee!!", kaminari announced, coming in with bakugo, sero, and kirishima, who was holding boxes of pizza and balloons.

"we've also arrived", iida said, more calmly. midoriya, todoroki, yaoyorozu, uraraka, followed.

"WOOOO!!! CANNONBALL!!", kaminari yelled as he quickly took his shirt off and jumped in.

"bro, you're gonna get a cramp!! you just ate a whole slice of watermelon!!", sero exclaimed.

"nah man, I'll be fine—HOLY SHIT BRO!! SAVE ME!!", kaminari yelled, suddenly sinking into the water.

sero and kirishima quickly jumped in, lifting kaminari.

kaminari started laughing, making sero and kirishima raise an eyebrow.

"I-I was just joking", kaminari laughed out.

"bro! that prank was not manly!!", kirishima pouted, dropping him along with sero.

hoshimi and ashido just chuckled, looking at the goofy kaminari.

"PIZZA TIME!!", dabi yelled as he opened each box. some kept swimming while others took a break for pizza.

"can you get me a slice of pepperoni?", hoshimi asked.

"sure", shigaraki replied, getting two plates. all the babies were currently out in the sun, tanning, while the rest of the adults were having fun.

"thanks", hoshimi smiled.

shigaraki just nodded while he ate with hoshimi.

the sun had begun to set as cupcakes were also handed out.

"bro! can you help set up the fireworks?", kirishima asked sero.

"yeah man!"

thus, the boys went to prepare the bigger fireworks. everyone was gathered around in little groups, waiting to see the explosion.

"wow!! look at that one!", uraraka exclaimed, pointing it out for midoriya.

"it's very pretty", midoriya replied.

"what do you think??", hoshimi asked shigaraki.

the two were currently alone, sitting on one of the pool chairs. holding hands, they enjoyed the view.

"it's...very interesting", shigaraki replied.

as a kid, he never got invites to parties, so this was one of the rare times he's hung out with a group of people that wasn't dabi, toga, and twice.

"do you want to inherit your dad's company?", hoshimi asked.

it was a conversation they had two weeks ago. she wasn't sure whether now was a good time to bring it up or not, but they were alone, so why not.

"hmm...I've never really thought about doing anything else. why?"

"don't you ever want to just do something you like?", hoshimi questioned again.

"I mean....I like gaming. but I can't make a living out of that", shigaraki slightly pouted.

"why not?", hoshimi asked. "you can become a twitch streamer, or even a youtuber. pewdiepie makes lots of money!"

"I...suppose you're right", shigaraki said, glancing at hoshimi.

the fireworks continued going off. hoshimi's words continued playing in shigaraki's mind. it was true he had a passion for gaming. and if he could do that for a living, he'd be very happy.

hoshimi looked at shigaraki, smiling. she squeezed his hand.

"it was just a suggestion. don't let it stress you out too much. I'm here to support whatever you want to do", hoshimi softly said.

shigaraki felt a warm burst of feeling in his heart. for some reason, it felt very good to hear someone openly support you, no matter what.

hoshimi grinned. she leaned in close, making shigaraki close his eyes. he thought he was going to get a kiss on his lips, but it ended up being on his cheek.

hoshimi laughed, making shigaraki slightly pout.

"a little longer", she said.

shigaraki just gave her a small smile. if she wanted to wait, then he would wait for her.

"okay. a little longer then".
