"ARE you sure you should do this?? I feel uneasy about this", ashido said to hoshimi, who was getting the lifeboat ready.

"mina, you know I never back down from a challenge. especially since this one's about tomura", hoshimi said.

"but I have a really bad feeling about this. and you know my intuition is never wrong", ashido retorted.

"I promise, I'll be fine", hoshimi said as she packed a knife under some snacks. you never know what might happen after all.

ashido sighed. "fine. be careful".

"don't die, bitch", bakugo said, while kaminari and kirishima were holding the lifeboat for her to get in.

yuki was already wearing her life vest and sitting in the other boat.

"give us a call if something happens!!", toga called.

shigaraki walked over to hoshimi. he held both her hands and squeezed them.

"I'll be fine, tomura", hoshimi chuckled out. she glanced at yuki, who was fuming.

shigaraki let go and watched her get on the boat. hoshimi waved as her and yuki sailed out.

while hoshimi stopped paddling, she checked the small box that she asked kaminari to pack. she asked him to make her some tuna sandwich.

"this hoe", hoshimi muttered as she opened to see a live fish stuck between two bread pieces.

she was going to destroy kaminari once she got back. at least she still had some goldfish she could munch on. hoshimi looked over at yuki who was grinning confidently.

the sun was starting to set as the tidal waves were getting more intense.

hoshimi put away her snacks and started rowing away. she generally tried to stay close to the shore. she still couldn't see her friends but it wasn't that far in her opinion.

"do you think she'll be okay?", ashido asked, as she sat on the warm sand.

"hoshimi's really manly. I'm sure she'll be fine", kirishima replied. although he was smiling, part of him couldn't help but be worried.

even though bakugo didn't say anything, he was also worried. he sat on the sand along with sero and kaminari.

dabi was relaxing under a parasol, trying to not think too much about it. toga was worried for her new friend and despite it, also the girl.

shigaraki was probably the most worried. he sat near the ocean, which was starting to slowly cool down. every time the water touched him, he'd look up, hoping to see hoshimi and yuki return.

"do you hear that?", ashido asked, making everyone perk up.

"what're you talking about? I don't hear anythin—"

"shut it dumbass!! listen", bakugo growled.

"it's the sound of screaming...", ashido said underneath her breath. but everyone heard it loud enough to immediately get off the sand and prepare their own lifeboat.

"HURRY UP EXTRAS!", bakugo yelled as he hauled the big lifeboat into the waters.

bakugo, kirishima, shigaraki, and dabi quickly got in. the rest stayed on shore just in case the girls came back. or if something happened, they could inform the other adults.

hoshimi suddenly sat up from her lifeboat, rowing towards the scream. there was only one other girl she knew of, that was sailing on the ocean like her.

no matter how much she didn't appreciate yuki's attitude, she aspired to become a doctor, and saving lives starts here.

hoshimi arrived at a horror scene. yuki's lifeboat had a rip in the middle of it. presumably because of the shark's fin.

"yuki! YUKI, CALM DOWN!!", hoshimi yelled, still a good few feet away.

"S-SHUT UP!! D-DON'T TELL ME WHAT T-TO DO!!", yuki sobbed out.

she was freaking out and it was definitely not good. although the shark wasn't as big as the others, it was still fully capable of downing a full adult.

hoshimi breathed in and breathed out. she had to think. she looked around her lifeboat and remember bringing a knife. she tried remembering what attracted sharks.

"blood", she muttered to herself.

hoshimi quickly took out the live fish that kaminari packed in her box. before gutting it, she waited until the ocean tides were a bit calmer.

"P-PLEASE....H-HELP", yuki cried out, as her legs were already in the water.

"SWIM TO ME WHEN THE SHARK IS DISTRACTED, OKAY?", hoshimi yelled back as she gutted the fish and threw it as far as she could.

the shark stopped circling around yuki. smelling the blood of the fish, it quickly swam towards it.

"HURRY!!", hoshimi yelled to yuki, who paddled towards the safe lifeboat.

hoshimi helped the crying yuki up into the lifeboat. she was shaking so much that she wouldn't cease her sobbing.

"t-t-thank y-you", yuki uttered out.

hoshimi pitied the girl. she hugged her, trying to warm her up and calm her nerves down.

"now, breathe in with me, and breathe out", hoshimi calmly said, trying to steady yuki's breathing pattern.

yuki did as told. although her breathing was more stabilized, her clear blue eyes were filled with fear and chaos.

"HOSHI!!", bakugo yelled, making both girls look up.

"ARE YOU BOTH ALRIGHT??", kirishima yelled.

they quickly rowed to the smaller lifeboat. tying a white rope between both boats, the boys rowed back while hoshimi explained everything that happened.

"OH MY GOD HOSHI, YOU'RE OKAY!!", ashido screamed as she went to go hug the girl. ashido was on the verge of tears. she couldn't imagine losing her best friend.

"I'm sorry mina. I should've listened to your intuition", hoshimi apologized, not allowing herself to cry.

"I'll catch you all up later, let me help yuki first", hoshimi said as she helped yuki into the hotel.

hoshimi got many towels and gave the girl some water. yuki's throat was parched and her lips were dry, showing clear signs of dehydration.

"how're you feeling?", hoshimi softly asked, squeezing yuki's hand to let her know that she's still here, and that yuki's safe.

"why'd you help me?"

"I'm not heartless, you know?", hoshimi said. "plus, it's only right to save someone in need of help".

yuki stayed silent for a moment, looking at the girl who was currently running a warm bath for her.

"I...I lost", yuki admitted.

"huh?"

"I...I said I lost! you...you can have him", yuki said, turning her head away, embarrassed.

hoshimi gave the girl a small smile.

"thank you".

at that moment, yuki realized. she was the one that never had a chance. the shigaraki that used to cling to her was many many years ago.

he had already moved on, and it was time for her to do so too.

so like hoshimi had once said, yuki ended up flying back to america with her cheese, wishing them happiness.
