TANGLAW IS A planet located in the Kanlaon Star System, a cluster of gigantic stars that appear to form a cone-shsped volcano when viewed from Herta's Space Station.  The planet itself can be spotted at the bottom center of the star system, appearing as a ball of hot magma surrounded by layers of mist that discolours the stars in a fascinating shade of rusty red.

No one knows where the red mist came from — scientifically at least, but stories from the local Bakunawas, the dragon species of the planet, recounts how one of their kind bled so much during a war against the Antimatter Legion that the blood spread to outer space (which is known to be impossible).

Despite its misty atmosphere, Tanglaw is a planet teeming with vitality, perhaps owing to its worship of Yaoshi, the Aeon of Abundance. It is interesting to note that the natives there don't typically show signs of what the Xianzhou calls the "mara", or the immortality curse.  Or if they do, the matter is swiftly handled before anything too drastic can occur.

Tanglawanon civilization has its roots in the ancient Bakunawas, who were said to have evolved into more human forms after a meteorite crashed into the previously aquatic planet, which in turn, formed the land one can see today (if they ever get through the red mist).  The dragons have around six prominent bloodlines, and a member from each "nobility" form the council that handles their internal affairs, the Konsul Bundok. Said council is composed of six judges, tasked with handling a specific aspect of draconic life. Their residence is located at Hinilawod Fort, a palace floating five kilometres from Mandurugo Peak, the tallest mountain in the Sierra Bagwis mountain range.

The Konsul Bundok receives partial autonomy from the monarchy of Tanglaw, also counting the Sierra Bagwis was an autonomous region since it's the ancestral home of the dragons.

Geographically, Tanglaw has an assortment of landforms aside from mountains. The planet is divided into three, distinct regions; the Sierra Bagwis to the northeast, the Dumagat coast and lowlands which is the largest of the three regions, and the volcanically active Bulusan ridge to the west and northwest. Architectural styles of the buildings also vary depending on their location, as well as the cuisine and customs.

Dragons aren't the only inhabitants of this planet; there are other races too, who have come to the place, in seeking refuge from the constant warfare between the more hostile Denizens of Abundance and the followers of the Hunt.  Their largest non-draconic majority are the Wing Weavers, who have evolved to develop falcon's wings that have a resistance to the negative effects of the red mist.

The Borisan are also a prominent presence, though they're not as violent as their migratory brothers and sisters. They are more focused on the medical arts and are almost on par with the Luofu's Sanctus Medicus when it comes to their influence on their respective regions.

The national government of Tanglaw is an absolute, hereditary monarchy. The kings and Queens of Tanglaw had, for the longest time, come from the Daluyong dynasty.  They rule the state-cum-planet from their ancestral seat of  Hiyas Fort, a palace complex that floats  in the sea, a few kilometers from Dumagat Cliff (the easternmost portion of Dumagat).  The monarch has a council, composed of 14 members, that helps then run the place although the monarch always has the final say on things.  Locally, magistrates appointed by the monarchs oversee the smaller regions, and they have a council of seven members for task delegation.

Tanglaw's military might is yet to be recorded. Details regarding national defense are considered classified data in the nation.

This planet is known for their medical arts and high-quality jewelry, which are their main experts. Other goods available to select trading partners are fruits and wines. Clothing is rarely included, unless they're made from a special variety of silk that gives off an iridescent shine when exposed to light (even that is rare, locally).

Tanglaw's currency is yet to be converted into Credits, though it is known that they use iron coins with a peculiar sigil engraved on it; two ears of wheat pierced by an arrow.
