Bailey ran into Cassie's room, excitement in each step as she ran over to her sisters bed and started to jump on it to wake her up. Cassie groaned and rubbed her eyes when she realized it was her sister that was disturbing her.

"Bailey... go away." Cassie groaned in attempts to go back to sleep but bailey was persistent. She pulled the covers off her.

" Wake... up... Cassie. Do you know what day it is?" Bailey asked as she lied down next to her.

" Um... friday?" She groaned as she reached for her blankets and pulled them back up.

" Of course its friday... but something else is happening today."

" The Particle accelerator is being turned on today." She remembered as she shot up from her sleeping position. She grabbed her phone of her bed side too check the time. The background was a recent picture of her, Bailey, Luisa and Emaline eating big belly burger that Mrs Ramon was kind enough to take for them.

It was time for them to get up so the two girls quickly showered and got dressed. Bailey wore a blue hoodie, leggings and white sneakers. Cassie decided to go with a pair of mom jeans, her orange sweater and her combat boots. Cassie held her hair in a low pony while Bailey left her hair down with her natural curls. The two girls never really wore that much make up. Just enough to make it through the day.

The two sisters skipped down the stairs for breakfast.

" Morning girls." Joe greeted the two as they sat on the table.

Luisa ran up behind Bailey and Cassie who were walking towards Emaline and hooked her arms behind on their shoulders.

Emaline had only been in Central City for a few weeks but it felt like she had known these girls forever.

Venus, Adira, Ashton, Luisa, Hannah, Xander, Giovana, Jake, Leo, Alex,Cassie and Bailey were at the beach. The same beach they had been going to since the beginning of middle school. The gorgeous Californian beaches and lucky for the Luisa's abuela, Xiomara owned a holiday home not to far from there. She would take them on a road trip down their every summer where they would stay for 3 weeks.

The dozen tweens sat around a campfire, roasting s'mores and enjoying the sunset. That day they had gone scuba diving.

They were currently giggling at weird jokes and stories.

"Guys...let's make a promise." Giovana suggests

Everyone turned their heads to the curly haired girl.

" Let's promise to stay friends forever!"

" That's so corny." Xander laughed

" Guys come on. I'm serious, highschool is coming soon and I'm sure that if we stick together we'll make it together." Giovana preached as she took a small bite of her s'more.

"She has a point, people usually lose most of their friends in highschool. And we've all been together for 4 years come on... we can do this..." Cassie stated to her friend's.

That day they made the promise, buy finding shells from the beach that formed their promise.

Cassie smiled at the memory as she got her books out for the day. For her it was hard to believe that the person who suggest this promise thing in the first place was the first one to leave. Giovana left, then Ashton and Xander, Hannah and Adira and Alex, leo, jake and Vincent. But the last one to leave was Venus. Cassie didn't take it so well. She felt abandoned but she was eternally grateful for her sister and best friend for staying by her side.

After school, Iris came to get the girls, who were coming over to the West household for to watch Particle Accelerator opening speech on the News.

They grabbed the popcorn, the sparkling apple juice and cookies. They grabbed a blanket and snuggled together on the couch.

" This is going to be so cool." Emma exclaimed as she grabbed the remote and switched to the news.

They were watching his speech for quite sometime, then a news reporter announced that Star Labs was getting evacuated and that they didn't know what was going wrong.

Cassie got up and opened the curtain slightly to look outside, watching the rain drops trickle down the window.

"Girls! Oh my God! Girls wake up." She begged as she saw the teenagers on the ground.

" Bailey, Cassie come on wake up!" Bailey groaned and held her head in pain as she sat up. Slowly one by one each of the girls got up.

Iris got them some waters and Aspirins and she helped them to the couch with some ice and peas held to their heads.

" What happened?" She asked as she kneeled in front of the four of them.

" We...we don't know." Luisa stuttered in fear.

Iris's phone started to ring and she went to answer it. The group of girls heard Iris let out a sob as she hung up the phone.

" That was one of the detectives, Barry's gone to the ER." Cassie and Bailey's eyes widened at the news.

Cassie tried to follow Iris to her car but couldn't get off the couch without her headache hitting harder.

" No...no you four stay here rest up you can tell your parents that your staying here for the night. Cassie I'll call you ok." Iris told the girls before she left.
