"Are you almost done in there?"

Destiny rolled her eyes at yet another complaint from Gally. "I prefer to not be rushed when I'm showering," Destiny retorted, rinsing off the soap from her body.

"You just showered last night, you can't seriously be that dirty, Dessie," Gally argued, tiredly leaning against the wall. It was early in the morning, the sun wasn't even up yet and of course, Destiny was showering yet again. And he had to guard the showers as per usual. There was no chance he would leave her alone anyways. The gladers were way too invasive for that.

"Relax, I'm almost done." Destiny wrapped a towel around her body and looked around for her clothes, groaning as she realized she forgot them. "Shit," she wanted to slap herself right across the face for being so stupid. "Uh, we have a problem," Destiny said.

Gally furrowed his brows in confusion, "What do you mean by that?"

"I sorta, kinda forgot my clothes and this towel is really small," Destiny walked towards the entrance way, peeking her head out at the corner to look at Gally. "Really, Des? Out of all things, you forget clothing?" Gally deadpanned.

"Would it kill you to be sensitive towards my forgetfulnes?" Destiny frowned.

Gally rolled his eyes and tugged off his shirt, "Here, put this on. Wrap the towel around your waist. Hurry up before everyone wakes up." He tossed her his shirt and turned back around, waiting as she tugged it over her body. It was pretty big on her considering he was like six foot three. Destiny followed him to her own personal cabin that the builders built for her.

Gally stood outside her cabin as she quickly changed into some clothing. Her clothes were always nicer out of everyone else's as she was given an entire crate of things when Chuck, the recent greenie had come up from the box. Destiny pulled on a red crop top with some cargo pants and her combat boots. Any shirts that weren't cropped, she would crop them herself. It was way too hot to be wearing long sleeves and normal sized shirts.

"Come in, I'm decent!" Destiny said. Gally sighed in relief and entered her cabin, immediately catching his shirt she tossed at him. "Nice abs," Destiny complimented, sitting down on her makeshift bed. It obviously wasn't the first time she seen him shirtless, but she always made it a thing to compliment his abs. He wouldn't admit it, but it did boost up his self-esteem.

"You say that so much to where I'm not sure if you're just lying to me," Gally said, tugging his shirt over him.

Destiny chuckled and shook her head, "Nah, I'm being serious. Most of the guys here aren't very pleasing to look at. And besides, I actually really like your abs, and your face, and basically everything about you." Gally bit back his smile as he took a seat on the chair she had set up in the corner. "Well, thank you. I like you too," he said, then caught what he said, "I mean, I like your uh..personality? Or uh-"

Destiny bit back her laugh at his stammering, "I know what you mean. Thanks." Though part of her wished that he did mean it in another way, cause she certainly did.

There was a small but faint knock on the door, so Destiny got up and opened it. Chuck stood there, rubbing his tired eyes in all. "Morning, Chuckie," Destiny ruffled his hair with a chuckle.

"Morning, Dessie. Can I use your shower?" He requested as she let him into her space. She always let him use her shower and space because when he first arrived, he was terrified to do anything by himself. And ever since, it'd been an reoccurring theme. Destiny always made him feel most comfortable. She was sorta like a mother figure to him.

"Sure, go ahead. You need a towel?" Destiny opened up a bin of stuff and pulled out a clean towel. "Yeah, and some soap, please." Destiny nodded and grabbed some of her shampoo and body wash for the boy. He liked using her soap way more cause he always complimented the way she smelled. She didn't smell like sweat or have a bad odor like the rest of the gladers usually did. She always smelt like cocoa butter and vanilla, with a little bit of a coconut oil. It comforted him.

"Anything else?" Destiny handed Chuck the stuff as he smiled. "Nope, that's all. Thanks, Dessie," he headed out of her cabin before sharing a small nod at Gally.

"You know, you don't always have to baby him, right?" Gally said, messing with the bracelet she gave him the second day she got here. It was in her bag and had his initial on it so they figured she must've made it for him when they knew each other. "Yes, I do. Come on, Gal, he's just a kid. We were once kids too," she replied.

"Yeah, except we don't remember any of it," He shot back.

Destiny rolled her eyes, "Well it must've certainly had an impact if I have your name tattooed on me," she countered. Gally couldn't fight the smirk that grew on his face, still loving the fact that his name was permanently tattooed on her. "It's not funny," Destiny hit his shoulder and he chuckled, unaffected by it. "I mean...it's kinda funny."

"Shut up."

As Destiny hung up some more damp clothes on the line, she stopped what she was doing when she heard the bell from the box, signaling a new greenie. "New greenie?" Chuck asked, setting down the bar of laundry soap. "I think so. Come on." Destiny and Chuck ran over to the box as did the rest of the gladers. Destiny stood next to Gally, hoping it would be another girl.

Gally and Destiny both pulled open the metal box doors. Destiny frowned when it was just a boy. He had dark black hair with a blue shirt on. He was pretty cute, way more pleasing to look at. Gally hopped down into the box, startling the boy, "Day one, Greenie. Rise and shine." Gally chucked the boy out of the box and he landed on the dirt ground next to Destiny's feet.

"He looks like a slopper to me," one of the gladers commented.

"I could use some help in the kitchen," Frypan added with a chuckle.

Destiny rolled her eyes at their comments and grabbed the Greenie's shoulder and pulled him up. The greenie took one look at her, and ran. "Ouch, that was rude," Destiny muttered.

"Hey, we got a runner!" Zart exclaimed with a laugh. Destiny hopped down into the box with Gally, "He's gonna faceplant," she predicted. Not a second later did she hear a thump and the boys laughing. Gally shook his head in amusement and handed her a crate that yet again, was clearly for her only. "At least he didn't punch any of us," Gally comments as Destiny climbed out of the box.

"You keep bringin' it up and I'll do it again," she stated.

"Come on, Chuck. Let's go see what we got today," she patted the boys head as they walked towards her cabin, figuring they'd just toss the Greenie into the pit to calm down and take everything in.

"Who's the girl?" The new Greenie asked Chuck who was setting up a hammock for him. The Greenie was obviously referring to the only girl there who was laughing at something Gally said. Chuck grew a smile, loving to talk about Destiny. "That's Destiny. She's like the best and coolest person ever. She smells really good too. She's also great at like everything. When she first got here, I heard she punched Gally," Chuck laughed, wishing he could've been there to see it.

The new Greenie watched the girl closely, as she currently was helping Gally look through the stuff from the box. Chuck squinted his eyes, seeing how the greenie was looking at Destiny, "I get the appeal but I'd watch the wandering eyes. Destiny's off limits." Chuck knew that if anyone even tried anything with Destiny, they'd get told off by Gally. He had seen it himself when one of the slicers asked if she wanted to hang out when everyone was asleep.

"Why?" The Greenie couldn't help but ask. He wasn't interested in Destiny in that way, but he was curious as to why it seemed like most of the gladers steered clear from her. "Cause Gally's in love with her, duh," Chuck said as if it was stating the obvious.

"As I was saying. It's basically the same story for all of us. We wake up in the Box, Alby gives us the tour... then here we are. Don't worry. You're already doing better than I did. I clunked my pants three times before they got me out of the pit." Chuck looked up, suddenly realizing the greenie wasn't listening, instead, walking towards the maze.

Chuck jogged after him, "No, come on. Dude, where are you going?"

"I just wanna see," the Greenie defended.

"You can look around all you want but you better not go out there," Chuck said. He wanted to handle this himself but he started to think he should call Destiny over to talk to the new Greenie.

"Why not? What's through there?"

"I don't know. I just know what I'm told. And we're not supposed to leave."

Destiny opened a box, letting out a small squeal and falling on her butt when chickens ran out of it. Gally laughed and held out his hand for her, "You know, for whatever reason, that Greenie kept lookin' at me," Destiny said, taking his hand and he pulled her up.

"It bothering you?" He asked, glancing over to Chuck and the new Greenie as Minho and Ben jogged past them. "Nah, I think he's just curious. Probably wonderin' why I'm the only girl. It's fine," she shrugged it off. He wanted to ignore it but he noticed the Greenie walking towards the maze with Chuck attempting to stop him.

"Looks like we got a curious one," Gally mumbled. And before Destiny knew it, Gally was headed straight for the Greenie. "Shit," Destiny ran after him.

"Hey!" Gally shoved the Greenie, very harshly to where he flew back, landing hard on the ground. Destiny winced as she made it to Gally's side, "We gotta stop meeting like this, Greenie."

"Get off me!" The Greenie stumbled onto his feet getting away from Gally. "All right! Calm, calm, calm," Gally attempted to reason and Destiny rolled her eyes. "Was that shove necessary?" She nudged him.

"Don't touch me!" The Greenie exclaimed as more gladers made their way over, wondering what was going on.

"Take it easy, dude," Destiny said, "just relax," Gally added in.

"What the hell is wrong with you guys?

"Just calm down, all right?" Newt added in. "No, okay? Why won't you tell me what's out there?" He argued angrily.

"We're just trying to protect you," Alby said, "It's for your own good," Destiny added, pulling Chuck behind her in case the Greenie decided to respond physically. "You guys can't just keep me here."

"I can't let you leave."

"Why not?" Just then, the ground rumbled a bit, a gush of wind blew over them as the walls to the maze closed shut. "What the hell?"

"Next time, I'm gonna let you leave," Gally grabbed Destiny's hand and pulled her away. "Why do I get the feeling that shove wasn't to protect him?" Destiny raised a brow, looking up at the taller boy.

"I have no idea what you could possibly by talking about," Gally denied.
