Emery softly grunts as she scoots the couch into place. "How does this look?" She smiles and holds a hand out to the couch. She turns to the two and knits her brows together. Amaya and Christopher were both sitting at the newly assembled kitchen table with their full attention on Christopher's gameboy. Amaya let's out a loud cheer and holds her hands up. "New high score—hell yeah, Christopher!" She high fives the kid.

"Amaya!"

The teen looks over at her big sister. Emery grits her teeth together and swipes her hand across her neck, then motioning her head over to Eddie; who was walking back over to them.

It's been a few weeks since Amaya's parents told her that they were okay with her moving in with Emery. Then five arguments and three rock, paper, scissor matches later; the two sisters found a two bedroom loft apartment perfect for them.

"You guys don't...normally swear around Christopher when you're taking care of him, right?"

Emery and Amaya look at each other with frowns on their lips. Then the sisters vigorously shake their heads. "Nah, nope."

Today Carla had a day off. Anytime she had a day off, Amaya offered to watch Christopher. Eddie was beyond grateful. He was so grateful that he offered to pay her. Emery declined the money and Amaya called Emery 'unwell' for making a decision like that.

"Do we look like the kind of mischievous girls to swear around a child?" Amaya holds her hands out.

Eddie purses his lips and eyes the two sisters. Emery holds both her hands under her chin and smiles while batting her lashes. "You don't." Eddie points at Emery and she cheers. "But you..." he points at Amaya. "...I've got my eye on you."

Amaya holds her arms out and lets out a small gasp. "I can't believe this..."

Eddie turns to Emery and she smiles. "Thanks for helping me move in." She scratches the side of her neck. "We had to get out of that hotel."

"Yeah, believe me, I get it. The room service and free breakfast is good the first few days but after weeks?" Eddie shudders and so does Emery. Eddie grabs one of the boxes and hands it to the girl. Emery grabs it and sets it against the wall.

"You know what I'm gonna ask, right?"

Emery sucks in a sharp breath. "I do. I don't want you to, but...lay it on me." She turns back to Eddie and holds her hands up.

"Why didn't you ask Buck to also help?"

Emery tilts her head, "Oh. That was your question?"

Eddie pulls his brows together. "Uh, yeah?"

"I thought you were gonna ask why I haven't thrown myself at you yet."

Eddie looks away from Emery and sputters out a laugh. "Shut up."

Emery softly laughs and wipes her nose. Eddie looks at her, "Seriously, though. What happened?"

Emery folds her arms, "I don't like Buck." She shrugs a shoulder. "He and I just don't get along."

"But during work—"

"We're partners during work. We've trained in risking our lives for civilians and each other." Emery explains. "Out there saving people is what we have in common, other than that...there's nothing."

"Well, what about your 'Hot Girl Summer'?"

Emery snaps her eyes back over to Eddie. "What? What did you say?"

"U-Uh nothing. I just...nothing." His face drops.

Emery shakes her head. First Buck knows and now Eddie. She sure as hell didn't tell them, so who did...?

Emery slowly turns her gaze to the smiling teenager who was watching Christopher play the handheld game.

"Amaya Louise Sharpe!"

Amaya lifts her head up and stares at Emery with a confused smile. Emery squints her eyes, "Hot. Girl. Summer?"

Amaya's jaw goes slack, she looks at Eddie, and he mouths the words "run".

Amaya's eyes widen, she springs out of her seat and runs out of the apartment. Emery sprints after her sister with a scream.

"You can run, but you can't hide!"

"This lady is nude!"

Buck chuckles as he clips his helmet on. "Did you really just say nude?"

Emery snaps her eyes over to Buck. She buckles her harness on. "Of course, I did. Nude is such a nice word."

"I mean, naked is nude and nude is naked." Buck moves his head from side to side.

"And I have never heard anyone say that 'nude' is a nice word." Eddie chuckles.

Emery shrugs, "Well, now you have." She then bows. "You're welcome."

"Okay, move Em into position."

Emery raises her brows. She looks over the bridge and at the pacing woman in the robe. Emery throws one leg over the freeway exit sign. As soon as Chimney and other firefighters pulled the air cushion into the woman's view she began to scream.

"No, no, no, no, no!" Lola screams. "What are you doing?! I-I told you!"

"It's just there for your safety, Lola!" Athena announces through the speaker.

Emery's boots come into contact with the metal catwalk against the freeway sign. Lola then pulls out a gun and shoots the air cushion flat. Emery flinches and crouches down. Lola turns and aims the gun at Emery. Emery lets out a small gasp and holds her hands up.

"Okay, okay, Lola..." Emery's voice was shakily soft. She wanted—needed to approach this situation gently. Even though she was about to shit her pants.

"Lola, listen to me very carefully!" Athena shouts through the speaker. "You now have every firearm in the Greater Los Angeles area pointed at you. If you continue to threaten that woman, they will fire."

Emery's jaw goes slack. She sure as shit hope they don't fire. She was still standing right there. Lola looks back at Emery and the curly-haired girl's eyes soften towards the desperate woman.

Tears form in Lola's eyes, "I don't want to hurt anybody." She lowers the gun which causes Emery to relax a little bit. Just a little bit.

"I just can't stand being ignored anymore." Lola cries.

"I know exactly what you mean."

Emery shifts her eyes to Buck. He glances at the girl, wondering if she was okay. Emery gives him a small nod, which causes him to relax.

"Oh, come on..." Lola scoffs. "Yes, I'm sure you get ignored all the time."

"H-He does." Emery shakily speaks. "By his girlfriend, at least. Well, ex girlfriend now. It's a long story but—"

"It's a long story that I can explain." Buck speaks, basically telling Emery to shut up. She does.

Buck looks back at Lola. "You have a Norman. I had an Abby."

"You think that you have something...something special, you know?" Buck continues. "She's the one. So, you wait. And then, at some point, it hits you: you're alone. Sh-She's not coming back. You're just there to collect the mail and it is piling up, right?"

"And then you realize... 'you know what? It's over'. You just need to face it and move on."

Emery waits anxiously for Lola's reaction to everything Buck just said. Lola lets out a defeated breath and looks down.

"Uh, Lola."

Everyone directs their attention to the man on the ground, speaking into the radio speaker.

"Lola, honey, it's me." Norman speaks. "I'm here. And I see you just like the sign says—"

"Liar!" Lola snaps. "You look right through me. You don't even notice me. I-I'm just around to...collect the mail." She swings the gun around and Emery slightly jumps with her heart pounding against her rib cage.

"Lola, honey." Norman continues. "Honey, now, listen to me. I-I'm here and I see you. And I need you to put down the gun, okay? Put down the gun and let them bring you to me."

"And then we can spend the rest of our lives together. And I can show you how much I love you."

"I don't believe you, Norman!" Lola cries. "You don't even know who I am anymore." She then throws her arms up. "I don't even know!"

"I've been a mother for 18 years!" Lola calls out. "And now that Zack's gone. I don't remember who I was before that. Back when you used to look at me."

Norman pulls his phone out and Emery softly gasps. "Oh, this guy is going to get me killed..."

Lola slowly nods her head, "Maybe you're right." She looks at Buck. "Maybe it is over." She looks at the freeway pavement and starts to walk towards the edge of the catwalk. Emery's eyes blow wide and she grabs Lola's arms.

"No, no—no." Emery quickly says. "Uh, see firefighter Buck is silly. He says silly things." She snaps her eyes over to Buck and he mouths 'I'm sorry'.

"He wasn't being super clear on the point he was trying to make, but..."

A song begins to play over the speaker that catches Lola's attention.

"Oh my god..." Lola chuckles. "That song."

"He remembered."

Emery softly smiles.

"It was our first date." Lola says. "We went to see Say Anything."

"I see you!" Norman shouts. "I see you. Lola, I see you. I see the girl who used to sneak out to the beach bonfires and listen to The Psychedelic Furs and The Cure. Lola! Lola. I see you!"

"I see the girl who once drank nine shots of Jäger and woke up without a hangover! Lola, I see you. I see the girl I love!"

The crowd of civilians watching on begin to clap and applaud. Emery couldn't help but clapping as well. Lola laughs softly and she goes to take a step forward but Emery grabs her again. "Yeah—still up here, Lola."

Lola lets out a shaky gasp, realizing she almost fell off the catwalk. "I think I want to get down now."

Emery nods her head, "Okay, okay..." she then cautiously takes the gun from Lola's hand and hands it off to Eddie. Emery guides Lola off the Catwalk. Buck and Eddie grab Lola and pull her back onto the freeway.

Buck holds his hand out to Emery. She looks at him and arches a brow which causes his stomach to twist. Emery grabs his arm and he pulls her up. She gets onto the freeway and stands up straight. Emery brushes herself off. She looks back at Buck and notices how close they were. Her breathing hitches and she quickly flits her eyes to his lips before looking back at his eyes.

Emery clears her throat, trying to brush off the urge to crash her lips against Buck's. "Thanks, Probie." She huffs. "Especially for keeping Miss Lola from shooting me."

Buck shrugs, "Well, who else would I argue with?"

Emery purses her lips and nods her head. "That's true. You'd be lost without me."

"I...don't know about lost."

Emery softly hums, "I dunno...you would seem pretty lost without me."

Buck scoffs, "Yeah right." He nudges her. Emery then pinches his arm.

She then huffs, "No, but seriously. If I knew that talking about your ex-girlfriend was going to successfully calm people down; I would've had you talk about that long-awaited breakup weeks ago."

Buck stops and stares at Emery. She stops and smugly looks at him. Buck scoffs softly and nudges her with his elbow. "You're such a dick."

Emery let's out a satisfied breath through her nose. "That I am."

Emery wasn't into karaoke. But she was into bars. So, when she got the invitation from Chimney to come out with him to drink, she was so in. That was until she got to the table and saw who was there.

"What the hell is this?"

Buck slows his chewing when he sees Emery standing at the table. "Oh...what is she doing here?" He points at the girl. Emery lightly smacks his finger out of her face.

Chimney lets out a heavy sigh. These two were so hot and cold. They could be working together and playfully making fun of each other one time, then they would be pinching and calling each other 'assholes and ducks' the next. Buck takes a small moment to look Emery up and down. Her curly hair was down and brushing her shoulders (she never wore it down at work). She was wearing a black off the shoulders button up that was tucked into her black and red checkered skirt. He shifts in his seat when he catches sight of her legs. God the things he wanted to do to her.

"Look, I thought that it would've been awkward if I had just invited Buck and he was third wheeling—"

"Wait, so I was the last person invited tonight?" Emery scoffs. "This is awful, I am offended by this information."

And all the sexy thoughts he had for Emery washed down the drain. Buck's face drops and he rolls his eyes. "You're being a little dramatic, don't you think?"

"Shut up, Probie."

Buck shakes his head, "Aht Aht Aht. Outside of work I'm not Probie." He points at her again and she smacks his finger. Again.

"Em, just sit down and have one drink with us, then you can leave." Chimney pouts his lower lip. "Please?"

"Oh, god. What is he doing?" Buck turns his nose up at Chimney.

Emery bites the inside of her cheek, "He's doing a puppy dog face."

"Well, tell him to stop its—"

"Horrifying, right?" Emery looks at Buck and softly chuckles. She looks back at Chinney and contemplates.

"I'm not stopping until you sit," Chimney says, hardening his puppy dog face.

Emery tilts her head to the ceiling and lets out a frustrated breath. She inhales a breath and sits next to Buck.

"Yeah! All right!" Chimney claps.

Buck looks around the bar and exhales. "The world looks so different now that I'm single again."

Emery frowns, "Well, if we're being technical. You've been single for months."

"Yeah, only circumstantially." Buck quickly says. "I know Abby's been gone for a while but, in my head, we've been together this whole time."

"So, you've been delusional?" Emery snorts.

Buck sucks in a sharp breath. "I would much rather be delusional than be someone who freaks out over a used toothbrush."

"Hey, he didn't even ask, all right? He would've just let me use it! What kind of psycho does that?!" Emery sinks into her chair, getting pissed about the whole situation again.

"Anyway, but now that I moved out of her place—"

"And are living on my couch."

Emery's brows shoot up.

"Which I appreciate by the way," Buck speaks.

"Wait, you're couch hopping?" Emery snorts. "I just moved into my apartment." She shrugs in a smug manner.

"1. I'm not couch hopping, I'm just staying on one couch. And 2. No one likes a bragger, Em."

"Well, I'm a bragger. And I love it." Emery closes her eyes and smiles with bunched shoulders.

"Did you know I thought he was just coming over for the game?" Chimney questions and Emery's mouth drops open. "The deception!" She gasps.

"Moving on!" Buck claps his hands. "I'm just nervous."

"Are you afraid to get back on the horse?" Chimney asks.

"Afraid to get your dick wet?" Emery arches a brow and Buck felt his jeans tighten.

Emery and Chimney notice how Buck freezes and they both look at each other. "Uh oh..." she tilts her head. "I think we broke him."

Buck blinks and looks over at Chimney, forcing his eyes away from Emery. Get it together, Evan.

"I don't want to revert back to being Buck 1.0," Buck states, refocusing. "I know I'm single Buck again, but I want to be single Buck 2.0,"

Emery raises her brows, interested in the topic. "And what is single Buck 2.0 like?"

She was just asking out of curiosity. Swear.

Buck slightly opens his mouth and lets out a breath. "Well, I don't just want to sleep with a girl and not hear from her again."

Emery tilts her head, needing more clarification.

"Okay, uh...say if I were to come in here with Abby, I would never have noticed that blonde over there, licking the salted rim of her margarita glass while she maintains strong, intimate eye contact."

Emery pulls her face back and lets out a sputter.

"Okay, is that really happening?" Chimney turns to the woman.

"No, no that's not actually..." Emery trails off her sentence when she sees the woman licking the rim of her margarita glass while staring at Buck.

"Unbelievable..." Emery shakes her head with a scoff. "I need a drink. This is..." she couldn't even finish her sentence, Emery just waves a dismissive hand and makes her way over to the bar.

"Say I go over there, right?" Buck continues. "I, uh...I talk to her, I make a joke, she smiles, we both laugh. Our shoulders touch, there's a moment, I lean in a little closer, she doesn't resist--one drink, two compliments later, we end up in bed together having totally meaningless sex."

Chimney just stares at Buck. "Yeah, that sounds awful." sarcasm seeps his voice.

"What can I get for you?" The waitress asks.

Buck turns to her, "Uh, just two IPAs, please."

"And a glass of Chardonnay." Chimney adds.

Buck looks at Chimney with his brows pulled together as the waitress walks away. "Oh, Emery's already over at the bar ordering." he points to the girl sipping on a fruity drink with an umbrella in it.

"This isn't for Em. It's for Maddie." Chimney says. "She was parking."

Chimney waves at the Buckley sister that just walked into the building.

"Uh, you invited my sister?"

Maddie sits next to Buck, "Hi! Sorry, I'm late. I don't know why I get on the freeway. I always regret it."

"Because you are an eternal optimist, that's why."

Maddie nods, "That's true." she looks at the empty seat. "Where's Emery?"

"Oh, she got tired of Buck's yapping and made her way over to the bar." Chimney points at the curly-haired girl. Maddie looks over at the girl and her face lights up.

Emery and Maddie have only hung out one time by themselves and they immediately hit it off. "Emerson!"

Emery softly hums and lifts her head over to the voice. She looks at the woman and a smile grows on her lips. Emery stands up with her drink and quickly makes her way over to the table. "Maddie, you made it!" she wraps her arms around Maddie's neck.

Maddie wraps her arms around Emery's waist and laughs. "Yeah, and it seems like you've gotten a headstart." she motions to Emery's drink.

Emery raises her brows, "Your brother was talking about something unimportant. I had to."

Buck throws his arms up, "I was talking about me getting back in the romance scene. How is that unimportant?"

Emery blinks and looks at Buck, "Oh, I meant unimportant to me."

Maddie stifles out a laugh and Buck glares at her. Maddie's smile drops and she looks at the ground. Emery sits back down at her spot and Maddie sits next to Chimney

"Are you hungry?" Chimney asks Maddie. Maddie slightly opens her mouth, "Oooh yeah, should we get that thing we got last time?"

"Uh, last time?" Buck inquires. He looks at Emery, who was sipping her fruity drink. "You three were here last time?"

Emery swallows her drink and shakes her head. "MnMn--not me." she points between Chimney and Maddie. "Them two."

The waitress comes back with their drinks. "A Celine Deion Sanders combo platter, please," Chimney says to the waitress.

As Maddie and Chimney continue to talk (like they were the only two at the table), Emery raises her brows. "I'm gonna go back to the bar." she gives Buck a pat on the shoulder. "Good luck being a third wheel." she hops off her stool and runs back over to the bar, leaving Buck to fend for himself.

Buck felt like he had been at the bar for 3 hours listening to Maddie and Chimney sing. But he had just been there for an hour. He had finished his third beer and wrinkled his nose, seeing how close Chimney and Maddie were on stage. I'm a third wheel. Buck lets out a scoff and shakes his head. How could he feel like a third wheel if there were four of them? Buck sips the last of his beer before making his way over to the bar. He sets the glass down and the bartender sets a smaller glass in front of him.

"Uh, what's this?"

"Bourbon neat." The bartender states. "The lady said real heroes don't drink pale ale."

Buck lifts his gaze up and sees none other than Taylor Kelley sitting across from him. He chuckles softly and looks down at the bourbon. Buck made his way over to the redhead and began talking to her. He hadn't seen her since her cameraman told them to "get a room". Buck makes his way over to the redhead and sits next to her at the other side of the bar.

"I see Chimney's got a girlfriend." Taylor speaks first.

Buck immediately shuts down the statement. "No. No, he does not. Uh, that's my sister."

"Oh. Sorry." Taylor looks back over at Chimney and Maddie. "They're kind of good."

"Yeah, I know, right?" Buck chuckles. "It's, uh, it's weird."

"So, hey, what's a fancy TV reporter like you doing in a badge and ladder joint like this?"

"Stalking you, of course." Taylor laughs softly.

Buck's smile drops and Taylor deadpans.

"I'm kidding. That station is right around the corner. And I like to keep your ear to the ground." Taylor explains. "What about you? You come here a lot?"

Buck softly chuckles, "Um. I-I used to. Or places like it. I haven't in a while."

"Why?"

Buck's slightly opens his mouth. "I was in a pretty serious relationship. But that's over now, I guess."

"You're not sure?" Taylor raises her brows.

"I'm-I'm pretty sure." Buck nods his head. Taylor tilts her head at Buck's hesitance.

"Actually, I was even thinking about...dipping my toe back into the dating game."

Now this is what Taylor wanted to hear about. "Just your toe?"

Buck raises his brows and laughs softly. He looks away from Taylor for a moment and looks back at her. "I'm just...trying to be responsible and well behaved. You know take it slow and do it right."

Taylor nods her head and holds up her glass. "To restraint."

Buck smirks and holds his glass up as well. Before he could say the words back to the redhead he hears a loud heartfelt drunken laugh through the bar. His eyes follow the voice and his blue eyes land on the curly-haired girl raising her arms and shouting at the other side of the bar.

Buck pulls his brows together. And just like that it was like tunnel vision. All his focus went to figuring out what Emery was laughing at. Buck slightly opens his mouth and he shifts his eyes back to Taylor. "Uh, I will be right back." And despite the four drinks he had, he somehow managed to make his way over to the eccentric girl.

Emery sips ok her fruity drink and quietly hums to herself. She watches as her coworker stumbles over to the barstool next to her and she smiles.

"Probie!" Emery raises her arms.

Buck looks over at Emery and pulls his brows together. "You're...happy to see me? How many of those have you had?"

Emery shrugs, "Enough..." she sips her drink. "What are you doing?"

"Wondering why you were yelling." Buck chuckles.

"I was not yelling." Emery gasps. "I was laughing."

"Okay, why were you laughing?"

Emery softly giggles, she then points at the tv. Buck follows her finger and sees the tv screen she was watching. "SpongeBob? Seriously?"

Emery vigorously nods her head, "Mhm, really!"

Buck shakes his head, "A kid's show can't be that funny."

Emery presses the rim of her glass against her lips and giggles. "That's what you think." She tilts her head back and finishes her drink.

Buck raises his hand to the bartender. "Could I get another bourbon, please?"

"Uh, no." Emery says. "He'll have a Mai Tai."

"Oh, uh, I don't drink—"

"Probie, please." Emery waves a hand. "If you're going to drink your sorrows away, do it with a drink that doesn't actually taste like alcohol."

Buck closes his mouth and frowns. "Okay, fine. I will have a Mai Tai." He glances at Emery. "Also, drinking my sorrows away is a lot better than crying about them."

The bartender sets two Mai Tai's in front of the two.

"Now, that is something I can agree on!" Emery raises her glass. Buck raises his Mai Tai glass and clinks it against Emery's. "I hate emotions. And it's not just because my parents never talked about theirs."

Emery then frowns, "Okay, that might be part of the reason I hate emotions."

Buck huffs, "I know that feeling all too well. My parents would rather ignore me for weeks, than tell me why they were so upset."

Emery snorts, "Oh, yeah." She nods and sips her drinks.

Buck purses his lips, "I just noticed that...you and I kind of have the same parents."

Emery quirks a brow, "Yeah...except my parents actually want to mend our relationship."

"Must be nice." Buck says.

"I mean it can be...other times they can be overbearing and they still feel controlling at times." Emery sputters her lips. "If that's what I missed when I was younger, then maybe it was better being neglected."

Buck quietly laughs and Emery laughs with him. Buck's arm gently presses against Emery's. He expected Emery to pull away, but surprisingly, she didn't. Buck wanted to pretend like he didn't notice what was going on. He wanted to think it was just two friends being close to each other. But that wasn't the case, because these two weren't friends.

Almost simultaneously, Emery and Buck glance at each other. But neither of them look away. Emery pulls her brows together and she felt the heat between her legs ignite. Over the past few months, Emery has felt this sexual desire towards Buck. It's not like she liked him (she definitely didn't like him). She just wanted him to fuck her brains out. It's not that difficult to understand.

She didn't know if it was the alcohol or if it was their shared moment a few moments ago. But whatever it was, Emery wasn't going to stop it. She leans toward Buck. Her arm presses more against his and her knee presses into his thigh.

"Do you wanna get out of here?" Her breath hits his ear.

Buck's stomach tightens along with his jeans from the airiness in Emery's voice. Normally, it was grating to him, but right now, her voice was hot. Buck glances around the bar.

"We're both pretty drunk, you know that right? Neither of us can drive." Buck points out.

Emery bites her lower lip and she pulls her lips away from Buck's ear. "Yeah, you're right..." she clicks her tongue and looks around the bar. Her eyes land on the bathroom door and she raises her brows.

"Bathroom?"

Buck smiles softly, "You read my mind."

Emery stands up and manages to walk over to the bathroom first, making sure no one was in there. Buck looks around the bar and discreetly walks toward the bathroom. He enters and sees Emery checking the last stall.

"Is anybody in here?" Buck asks.

Emery shakes her head, "We're alone. No one hear to see the two of us do something we are totally going to regret later."

Buck locks the door to the bathroom. And looks back at Emery. His eyes travel up and down her body, while his breathing heavies. With the way Emery was looking at him and the outfit she was wearing. Buck 2.0 was out the window.

"That's tomorrow's me's problem."

Buck walks over to Emery. He cups her face and smashes his lips onto hers. Emery has felt this sexual desire towards Buck for months now and it was finally being fulfilled. It was like all the sex she has had over the last few weeks meant nothing. All she wanted was Buck. Her heart beat begins to pound through her ears. She softly groans from the impact Buck's lips against hers. She raises her hands into Buck's hair and hastily kisses him back.

Buck bites Emery's lower lip and she softly moans. He untucks Emery's shirt and slides his hands under it. Emery's entire body begins to warm up with the feeling of Buck's big calloused—yet gentle—hands on her bare waist. Buck pulls his hands from under her shirt and starts to unbutton it as he walks her toward the wall. Emery's back meets the wall and she moans softly. She lightly touches Buck's wrists and pulls them away from her shirt, causing him to stop kissing her.

"What? What's wrong?" He breathes, his words slurring a bit.

"I don't want you taking my shirt off in a bathroom." Emery's words slur together. "That's gross."

Buck rolls his eyes, "Fine, fine." He goes back to kissing her. Buck's hands move to her thighs and he grips them. A ticklish sensation forms in Emery's stomach and it takes everything out of her not to laugh. Buck slides his hands under Emery's skirt and she sucks in a sharp breath. She pulls her lips for Buck and burns her cloudy brown eyes into his starry storm-blue ones. Buck hooks his fingers into the waistband of her panties and pulls them down, never breaking eye contact.

Emery honestly didn't care about getting naked. She just wanted Buck now. She grips the belt on Buck's pants and quickly undoes it, like a pro. Buck drops his pants and boxers down. Buck lifts Emery up and she wraps her legs around his waist. Buck captures Emery's lips into another rough kiss and thrusts into her. Emery lets out a drunken moan into Buck's mouth. Buck softly groans and presses his lips against Emery's neck. Emery tilts her head against the wall and squeezes her eyes shut. Buck continues to thrust in and out of her, their moans echoing through the bathroom.

Neither of them had a care in the world that anybody was probably hearing them right now. They both were just chasing the climax they've been wanting from each other for weeks. Emery smashes her lips onto Buck's, their teeth clink together in a messy and drunken manner. She grips the side of his neck and breathes against his lips as his thrusts deepen inside of her.

"Fuck..."

Buck chuckles, "You like this?"

Any other time, Emery wouldn't enjoy talking during sex, especially with someone she doesn't like (even though this is the first time she's had sex with someone she didn't like), but for some reason this was different and it wasn't because she was drunk. She felt so good right now. When she was William, sure the sex was good. But right now? The way her body was flushed against Buck's. His mouth on hers. She was entranced by it.

Emery opens her eyes and meets Buck's. "Yes."

A cocky smile appears on Buck's lips and Emery scoffs, her need to express her pleasure gone. "Shut up." She smashes her lips onto his.

Emery grabs his wrist and places his hand against her inner thigh. She slightly pulls her lips from his and her breathing quickens from the tightening feeling in her stomach. Buck understood what Emery wanted and he was going to give it to her. The noises that were coming from her lips was music to Buck's ear. He wanted to hear more. Buck raises his hand underneath Emery's skirt and rubs her clit. Emery tilts her head back and a small chuckle escapes her lips.

She slides her hands under his shirt and digs her nails into his back. Buck quietly groans but the pain quickly surged into pleasure to the point it became addicting. Buck twitches inside of Emery, signaling he was close. Emery's walls start to pulsate around Buck's cock and his thrusts start to become faster and more erratic. Emery places a hand on top of the paper towel dispenser beside them and grips the edge of it.

"Almost—Almost!"

Buck couldn't stop a soft laugh from escaping his lips. Hearing Emery's moans hit his ear. Just knowing that he was the one causing her to unravel like this. Despite the hatred she held for him, he was able to make her feel pleasure like this. It caused his body to grow even hotter.

Buck thrusts his hips upward—hitting deep in Emery. She raises a hand in Buck's hair and yanks at it, which causes his breathing to hitch. "Oh fuck—" Buck's voice gets caught in his throat.

Emery's stomach releases the tight coil in her abdomen and she lets out a blissful moan. White flashes through her vision and she flutters her eyes shut. Her breathing was quick and she kept her head leaned against the wall. Buck moves out in and out of Emery a few more times before he felt himself begin to unravel. He pulls out of Emery and releases on the floor. Emery keeps her legs wrapped around Buck but she looks down at the ground and with her mouth hanging open. Her high quickly coming to an end (which pissed her off).

"Are you serious?" She scoffs and snaps her eyes back over to his.

Emery unwraps her legs from Buck's waist and steps away from him. "Dude—"

"Where else was I supposed to go?" Buck asks.

Emery pulls her brows together. "Have you never had sex in a bathroom before?" She rolls her eyes. "Next time, ask if the person you're having sex with is on the pill."

The two were both partially sober. Sober enough to realize the mistake they just made. And they were back to hating each other.

"Are you on the pill?" Buck asks, turning to her.

Emery grabs a ton of paper towels and huffs. "Don't worry about it. Cause this will never happen again."

"Hey, don't act like this was some shitty idea I came up with." Buck points at Emery and her face was hot. "This was all you, Emerson."

"Don't remind me." Emery walks over to him and hands him the paper towels. "Now, let's clean ourselves up and forget this night ever happened."

"You read my mind." Buck scoffs and snatches the paper towels from her hands. Emery rolls her eyes and looks in the mirror. She tilts her head and notices some of her buttons on her blouse were unbuttoned. "I cannot believe you almost took my shirt off in a public bathroom. What were you going to do—throw it to the ground after?"

"Uh, yeah! I was being sexy." Buck cleans the floor.

Emery notices her curly hair was now frizzy and she lets out a deep sigh. She grabs the hair tie from around her wrist and puts her hair into a rushed ponytail.

"Sexy? Yeah, cause nothing says sexy like a bathroom."

"Like I said, Em. All you." Buck holds his hands out. "Not my fault you couldn't keep it in your pants around me."

Emery runs her tongue across her teeth and sputters. She turns to Buck and watches him throw the paper towels away. Buck washes his hands and Emery does the same. "I hope you know, I never do things like this."

"So...I'm the first person you've ever had sex in a bathroom with?" Buck smirks at her.

"I'm not reckless." Emery corrects herself. "I don't have sex in public places. And I don't sleep with my co-workers. Especially the ones I despise—"

"And yet..." Buck walks closer to her. "...ya did."

Emery swipes her tongue across her lower lip and feels where Buck bit it. Her body starts to get hot again and she inhales a shaky breath. Emery meets Buck's bright blue eyes in the mirror and he shrugs, saying, 'I'm game if you are.'

And that was enough for Emery.

She turns to Buck and smashes her lips onto his. Buck instantly kisses her back and cups her face. His hands trail down to her arms and then to her waist. He turns Emery around, she quietly gasps and grips the edge of the sink. Emery looks at Buck through the mirror and watches him pull her panties down. He looks at Emery, waiting for her go-ahead. She gives him a soft nod. Buck undoes his belt and pulls his pants and boxers down.

Buck slides into Emery and she softly moans while her eyes fall shut. Her grip on the sink tightens as Buck begins to move in and out of her. "God, do you know how much you annoy me?" Buck says through gritted teeth.

Emery's stomach clenches and she moans. "Tell me."

"You criticize and dissect every single thing someone does. It drives me nuts." Buck groans. "Anytime I hear a door squeak, I think it's your voice."

The sex was good, of course, but it doesn't get Emery to stop scoffing. "Please, is that the best you could do?"

Buck chuckles, "You think that you're this perfect being that everyone else wants to be like." He lets out a small grunt. "God, you think you're so much better than me."

"And what about you?" She scoffs. "You think you don't annoy the shit out of me?"

"I know, I do...I'm just waiting for you to tell me about it."

Emery laughs softly and Buck joins her. She lifts her head and meets Buck's eyes through the mirror. "You think you're so much better than everyone else, just because of the way you look." She keeps her eyes on his. "Unlike me, I don't have to rely on my looks to get me anywhere in life."

Buck pulls out of Emery and her pleasure stops. He grips her wrist and turns her around. "Is that right?" He huffs.

Both of them were trying to catch their breath. But that didn't stop them from arguing. "Yeah, that's right." She breathes, her eyes flitting to his lips and then back to his eyes.

Buck grips the side of Emery's neck and smashes his lips onto Emery's. He lets out a small moan and presses Emery against the sink. Emery kisses him back with a breathless sigh escaping her lips. Buck picks Emery up by her thighs and sits her on the sink. Emery quickly unbuttons her shirt and pulls it off her body, leaving her in a black-laced bra.

"What happened to—"

"Shut up before I change my mind." Emery cups the side of his neck. Her eyes skim across Buck's face and her breathing heavies. Right now, neither of their minds was clouded by alcohol. And they both knew that. But neither of them cared. The sex was too good to stop now.

Emery grips Buck's cock and Buck lets out a soft breath from Emery's hand on him. She lines it up with her folds and Buck slides into her which causes her eyes to gloss. Buck lets out a sharp breath. Emery grips both sides of Buck's neck and hastily places her lips onto his as he moves in and out of her. She quietly moans into his mouth and her hearing starts to go in and out. Buck grips her waist and pulls her closer to him. He swipes his tongue across her lower lip and she opens her mouth.

Emery tangles a hand into Buck's hair and lightly tugs at it. She kisses his jawline and then neck. Buck's eyes flutter shut and his breathing becomes ragged. Emery pulls harder at his hair and Buck moans. A pompous yet airy laugh leaves Emery's lips, and she brushes her lips against his ear. "You like that?" She quietly moans.

A chuckle of disbelief escapes Buck's lips. He didn't want to admit it, but he definitely found Emery hot in this moment. Buck didn't want to say it out loud though. If he did admit it, Emery would let it get to her head. She and Buck were similar in that way.

So, he decides to stay silent. Emery arches a brow out of annoyance. She pulls her lips away from Buck's ear and looks at him with a sigh. She takes her hand from his hair and Buck opens his eyes; wondering what happened to the painful pleasure.

"You're not getting any foreplay from me until you answer my question."

Buck shifts his eyes to Emery's then he looks at her lips. "Yeah—yes." He quickly answers. His eyes flit back to her eyes and his stomach twists. "I liked it."

Emery smiles and quickly reconnects their lips. She softly breathes against his lips and pulls at his hair again, which causes him to groan. Buck's thrusts sharpen in Emery and her breathing quickens. Emery lets out a laugh as she gets closer to her climax once again. Buck kisses and nips at Emery's jawline. He breathes against her neck and slides a hand under her bra. Buck runs his thumb over her nipple.

Emery squeezes her eyes shut as the coil in her stomach snaps. She lets out heavy pants as Buck continues to move in and out of her. He stops and releases deep inside of her, a strained moan escaping his lips. Buck slumps against Emery and they both stay in the moment (unlike the first time), riding their highs. Emery tilts her head up and looks at the dim light of the bathroom.

Then the girl's face becomes hot with embarrassment when she realizes...

She just had sex in the bathroom of a bar. Twice. With Evan Buckley.

Emery runs her tongue across her teeth and she scoffs. "Shit."
