positives: roxy is adventurous, outgoing, and curious about the world around her; she's very inquisitive and loves the natural process of coming up with questions and making observations to draw educated guesses on the answers to such questions. roxy is extremely compassionate when it comes to her beloved ones and those who she deems "friends"; she loves to share her thoughts and speak her mind to those she trusts because she knows she'll be heard and understood 99.9% of the time, which is enough to satisfy her.

neutral: the district 8 female is quite observant and tends to keep quiet about her observations until she has a sure answer for why she's seeing the things she is seeing. if someone doubts her at first or tries to make her seem less than anyone, she won't immediately blow up and engage in a wee fist fight; she'll play the sarcasm game, as that's usually a way she can call her opposer's out on their stupidity without resorting to verbalization and physical manifestation of her strength she's built up over time. a part from that, she's ambitious and is always striving to fulfill a goal or ambition she put out for herself. she's usually optimistic, which makes her radiate positive energy to those around her ... at least to those who don't bother her or provoke her first.

negatives: roxy does not handle disappointment well at all. because of this, she is capable of doing away with her compassionate and caring side to unleash a fit of anger onto those unfortunate enough to be around her at the time. she tries her best not to reveal that side of her, as she is currently working on reducing her reactive state for a more calm and accepting side to exalt her compassionate and caring traits. if someone gets under her skin too much or for too long, she will not hesitate to throw punches. she may get too carried away and may proceed to try and beat you until you are unconscious depending on how angry she is. it's always important to note, though, that she's NOT malicious nor is she twisted— she just has difficulty handling her emotions in a healthy manner.

how it flows: overall, roxy is a sweet, compassionate and caring little girl who is headstrong and knows what she wants and doesn't want, as well as what she likes and doesn't likes. she knows that she is still too young to possess complete understanding of the world, and she knows somewhere in her mind that she can't be right about everything, but her excitement over adventure and conquering the unknown can sometimes (and unfortunately) lead to either really good results and useful information or a rabbit hole full of disappointment and anger fits. she will make sure her voice is known and respect is shown , even at the cost of a physical fight (ironic since touching somebody as a way to inflict harm is usually how you lose respect) but when she is shown that respect and given that space for her voice to flutter and shine, she will also reciprocate the attitude and actions.

mother | lisa stanford | 35 years old | she's had an on and off relationship with roxy; she cares about roxy deeply, especially because she's the only girl and last child she'd conceive and will raise, but she hates the way roxy expresses herself through "rough play" and venturing habites that she labels as "unladylike." for this reason ... she and roxy can get into a lot of arguments and disagreements. roxy sees a lot of her lectures over actions as "failures to understand her better."
father | avery marcus stanford | 37 years old | he is the closest to roxy; while her mother shuns a lot of the activities she gets herself involved in, he's the one further encouraging her outgoing and exceedingly adventurous behavior. he also taught to her fend for herself and never be afraid to speak her mind whenever she felt necessary. he's helped mold her mentality and perspective on life a great deal.
brother | erin stanford | 16 years old | as he is male and older, his "manly like behavior" is excused a little more often from lisa, the mother (arguably unfair). he, too, likes to play a little rough with his sister, but overall he is very attentive to roxy's well being and makes sure that— even after a long and draining argument between them — she's getting the love and care she needs and deserves to grow into a responsible and rewarding citizen to panem.

roxy galilee stanford was always a "tomboyish" kind of girl, having been around the influence of an older brother her whole life and having been led around by her father. she was a good student most of the time (when she wasn't getting into arguments and physical fights) and would make sure she would be on top of her tasks. her love for exploration beyond her home and her ambition to overcome any obstacles have led to various injuries and even more reprimands from her mother. nonetheless, it's safe to say that she keeps herself very active and busy in her daily life, so it's very rare you find her bored or poorly entertained. she was never forced to work at such a young age because her parents wanted to her to have fun and live out her youth (though according to her mom, her dad and brother have taken this a little too far to the point where she's constantly risking physical injuries). she never gave much thought to the hunger games, as she found it ridiculous the possibility of her ever being reaped into one of the games. however, whenever she did watch them (which was annually), she would feel sympathetic and sad for those families who would have to bear the fact of losing their beloved children and would constantly question if she'd thrive in the arenas constructed for long, solely depending on her curiosity, instincts, and outgoing personality.
