Distinguishing Features ➤ Horacio's hair is quite literally to the point of being completely gray, with there only being a few brown specks remaining. Horacio is also nearly six feet tall (he is exactly five feet and eleven inches tall); this puts him above average in height and therefore he can come off as naturally intimidating and powerful.

Additional Information ➤ When shirtless, one can easily point our his toned, chiseled abs and his remarkable muscles; it's clear that physical strength is his number one strongest suit.

Permanent Injuries ➤ He lost a toe the night of the cornucopia bloodbath to a District 4 male tribute named Cascade. He managed to escape after successfully slitting the male's throat before any of the Career's could catch up to him; it was assumed that Cascade spotted the District 10 male trudging up the hills to make camp as the Careers split to pick off scattered victims, and thought he'd be an easy kill due to an assumed lack of combat training and experience.

Personality ➤ Horacio isn't immediately friendly, warm, and welcoming to the people he sees in everyday life, and those chances of encountering Horacio in such a state will be drastically minimized during training sessions and in the arena. However, he isn't exactly distant, rude, and aloof to one's presence and existence either. He's more of a cool, reserved and observant type of guy. He'll nod your head at you to acknowledge your presence, but he'll probably not say a word beyond "hey", "how are you" and "i'm good too, thanks" . There wasn't really any trauma to back his reasons for exhibiting such a demeanor; it just happened to be his nature in essence to his character. By being cool and reserved, he avoids being a target to potential enemies or opposing forces; this also demonstrates great caution with what parts of his life, his thoughts, his strategies, and his emotions he lets out to public (or potentially public) ears and what doesn't. However that does make him more prone to missing out on building and fostering connections with those around him.

If he finds grace bestowed upon you- whether at first sight or after a considerable time of getting to know you— he'll open up little by little and allow for their to be a more profound friendship between you and him. This means you'll get to hear all of his interesting stories of his childhood— for his childhood has been quite eventful— his deepest secrets, and his insights onto the unpleasant experience of the Hunger Games. He'll share strategies to his fellow tributes that are sure to benefit them in the Games if they pay close attention, and he's hard to anger. This makes him an optimistic, tactful and patient mentor who, unfortunately, because of the lack of skill and/or intelligence most of the District 10 tributes have demonstrated, became negatively impacted with guilt that then soon brought forth sadness.

He can get lost in his thoughts, though. This means he can easily get distracted and, being that he tends to keep to himself, he won't usually have that support keeping him in check during some circumstances, which can cause him to fall short of accomplishing something or just overall being completely forgetful. He's also VERY protective of those he comes to care about. This includes his family, his few friends that he was able to keep in touch with after the games, his mentor (who unfortunately passed away because of a terminal illness), and one mentee who recently won a Hunger Games prior to the 3rd Quarter Quell. Sometimes, that protectiveness can grow to become overprotectiveness, which can lead him to being paranoid and make quick assumptions on certain people. Unfortunately, since he is a man of his words, it is not to be doubted that if he feels the need to kill or severely injured somebody in order to protect himself or his beloved ones in dire circumstances... he will go out of his way to DO SO.

Family Background ➤ Horacio grew up with a mother named Lucia, a father named Achilles, and an older sister named Clara. All of them have had to worked in a butchery, which accustomed Horacio to blood at a very young age. He'd also have to help herd cattle and worked at a local farm, so he has a lot of experience with dealing with unexpected and unpleasant circumstances. Because they all share similar experiences, their relationships have been strengthened on the basis of their struggles; they've come to gather together to work out their problems and find solutions that will, in the end, benefit all of them— dealing the least amount of harm to any family member.

The 55th Hunger Games ➤ Horacio, to the surprise of his entire District, was actually a volunteer. He volunteered at the ripe age of 18- meaning he could've actually lived the rest of his life Hunger Game free (with the exception of the thereafter mandatory watching of the annual streams). However, he saw his best friend, Justin, get reaped for the Games; he was only 16 years old, and Justin already had a hard time with interacting with people due to his severe anxiety. So, Horacio found it necessary to volunteer for the young man. He didn't do it thinking for a SECOND that he'd be able to win the Games; he only did it because he saw it to be morally right to volunteer in place of a friend in need.

A 13 year old by the name of Ofelia was reaped for the Games. Because of her serenity and under-appreciated compassion, Horacio decided to make her his first and most important ally in the Games. He and Ofelia befriended mentors Lorenz (male) and Ana (female), and the four of them made sure to strengthen their bonds as much as they could during the limited time given before the beginning of the Hunger Games. While Horacio and Ofelia weren't all nearly that impressed with the Careers- or most of the tributes for that matter- Ofelia did come to fall in love with a 16 year old District 6 male named Tai. Horacio did not approve of the infatuation shown by both parties, however, as he believed it would greatly distract Ofelia from the main goal: staying alive. After much argumentation, however, Horacio let Ofelia bring Tai into the alliance on the condition that he does everything HORACIO tells him to do; Horacio already felt uncomfortable bringing Tai into the alliance because of his struggle to adapt to combat training and his lack of knowledge on a lot of survival skills; the only thing the poor 16 year old truly had going for him was his incredible knowledge on edible plants and his overabundant love and affection for the small and physically weak District 10 girl.

As predicted by Horacio, Tai did not even make it past the bloodbath, and Ofelia almost lost her life directly before and after Tai attempted to come save Ofelia from a Career tribute sneaking up on her as she grabbed a scattered pack of throwing knives. She threw a knife at the District 1 female, Belle, directly at her throat, before mourning Tai for a rushed amount of time. At that point, Horacio already had to kill off a pair of District 9 tributes who were trying to attack him after grabbing a sword and a big pack of food and resources; he barely managed to escape the sickle that just swooshed over his head by Belle's district partner, Dash, before forcefully dragging Ofelia away from Tai's body and having to carry her on his back all the way to safety. 

The District 1 male chased Horacio, as the District 10 male himself was struggling to protect his gathered resources and his dear district partner, Ofelia. After wrestling the District 1 male for a good bit (and receiving tons of slashes across his face from the edge of the sickle), he managed to stretch out the sickle as far as possible so he could disarm him. Ofelia soon gave him a knife upon seeing her district partner almost get either beat to death or beheaded. Horacio finished Dash off and then for the majority of the Games, he and Ofelia spent their time walking around, changing their "camp sites" to prevent themselves from running into the District 2 Careers- Lydia and Lynx and so they could explore the rest of the arena and gather more food. Unfortunately for Horacio, Cascade- a District 4 male- would ambush him while he kept watch of his camp for Ofelia, and had to sacrifice his toe in order to eventually finish Cascade off and survive one more night. 

With Ofelia and Horacio's combined experience with knives and cooking, they were able to use their resources from the cornucopia wisely and keep themselves replenished with newfound food. 

Unfortunately, because the Careers have done such a good job of picking off the tributes in a span of three days, the Games were coming to a close. Horacio told her that in the event that they were to run into one, she should stay as far back as possible and hide in a tree with her knives, as he was far better at close combat than she was. 

Ofelia did as she was told, but she was reluctant to let Horacio go because of the bond they were just beginning to have; he was starting to become a big brother to her, and she was his faithful little companion. Sadly, Ofelia would place fourth, as a district 7 female named Raelynn snuck up on her and cut the tree she was hiding in with an axe. The impact broke some of Ofelia's bones as she was very high up when the sneak attack happened. She would die a very, VERY slow death. Meanwhile, while she was slowly succumbing to darkness, Horacio immediately stopped in his tracks and raced up to Raelynn, a throwing knife all of a sudden flying towards her. She dodged, but Horacio also managed to duck her oncoming knife as well. Being too late to pick up her lodged axe, Rae died to Horacio rather quickly as he had her on chokehold and eventually decided to end her misery by snapping her neck.

After silently holding Ofelia's hand as she took her last breath, he began to grieve loudly. That brought about the two remaining tributes- Lydia and Lynx. Upon hearing their footsteps, he immediately reached for the axe, dug it out of the fallen tree, and waited for them to be in full view before hurling it at the female. Her bloody corpse fell onto Lynx, which made it much easier for Horacio finish him off with a swift throw of the knife to the heart.

Personal Background ➤ Horacio, as mentioned earlier on, has had an eventful childhood. This came from all of his experiences at the butchery and local farms. He earned many bruises, scratches, and scabs because of the many failed attempts to properly butcher, cut, and slice meat from an animal, as well as the number of times he has gotten injured by horses (either by trying to herd them in to their stables or by trying to be funny and ride them with no experiences) and bulls (same reasons as above mentioned). Nonetheless, he always found a positive side to his many mischievous and eventful childhood deeds. Now, he lives in the Victor's Village with his family and talks with a few best friends he had since his youth as well as one close Victor best friend— his mentor— up until his death. He's maintained good relations with the other male District 10 Victor and now checks up on the recent female District 10 Victor every now and then. He's tried to restore a lot of "normality" to his life after the Games, but the bloodshed and cruelty would always occasionally creep up on him in the form of nightmares.
