vi. his fate
CHAPTER SIX
ROBERT HAD RUN OFF, he did not care for his duties if his wife and daughter were taken from him. He knew his sons were safe inside the keep with Rhaelle. He would not know what to make of himself if Shiera or Cassandra died. Robert had sent ravens to King's Landing, hoping for once Rhaegar would do something that favored him. He did not however, only sending a small pack of soldiers to help find her. He wanted to cut his head off was what he wanted to to. Rhaegar couldn't even be a brother, he briefly wondered how Shiera could love such a man.
The sky seemed to darken, the trees suddenly seemed to suffocate him. The deeper into the woods he got the more frightened he begun to be, the fear of Shiera and daughter being killed had haunted him for the days they had been gone. As soon as he had heard that they were missing he had already set out into the deep woods of Storm's End.
As he was walking he heard the stiff sound of something coming close to him. He turned around only to find that no one was there. He turned again only to feel a slight pain on his forehead, the darkness making him close his eyes

SHIERA BLINKED AS another dose of pain shot through her. The pain spreading through her body like wildfire. She did not know where she was, yet could make out the faint whispers and murmurs. Shiera knelt there, cold stone beneath her knees, as she clutched Cassandra to her chest. It was dark and she could barely make out the room surrounding her. She didn't know whom these people were, or what they wanted with her.
As she pondered her thoughts, some footsteps came closer and Shiera jumped, not quite expecting someone that close to her. She tried to scurry backwards but to no wail. One of the men caught her wrist, pulling her forwards making Shiera out a protective arm over her daughter.
He reached down and his hands attempting to grab Cassandra. Shiera hissed at him, pushing him away making him stumble backwards. His other friends behind him began laughing, jests coming out from their mouths as they watched the amusing scene before them. Shiera gritted her teeth. They were foolish men who would soon die when Robert finds them.
The man soon came up to her again, this time more rougher pulling her arm to the point she nearly couldn't feel it. She had to secure her one arm over Cassandra, making sure she didn't fall or get taken. He pulled her roughly, hoping she will stumble over yet instead Shiera grabbed his arm and bite into it until she could taste blood. The man gave a roar of pain, his unpleasant face turning red and his fists clenching.
"You bitch. She bloody bit me!"
Before he could do anything however, the door was opened once more making her turn her head in the same direction. Her eyes widened and she could feel the tears forming. Robert laid there beaten up, and she was sure that was the worst she had even seen him. There was blood oozing out from his head, his nose bleeding to the point where his whole mouth was filled with blood. Shiera wanted to look away, but she couldn't, instead watching him and holding Cassandra tighter to her body.
Robert locked his eyes with her tear filled ones. She knew Robert would fight for their release, yet she also knew they wouldn't let Robert go without a fight.
"Let them go!"
The men around them laughed, gripping Shiera hard on her forearm, making her hiss out in pain. Her arms desperately trying to keep Cassandra from falling out from her hands. Her eyes began to water more, knowing that they would not have any more choice then to give in. They could have her, but she would not let them have Cassandra.
"Well, well, well. Look whose here. The Lord of the Stormlands. What a lord he is." The man gripping her arm mocked. Shiera saw Robert trying to get up but to no use. The four other men had grabbed him, making his face feel the dirty mud beneath him.
The man looked down at Shiera, and she couldn't help but cringe. It was not a pretty sight. She knew that look from everywhere, it was a look of desire. He smirked down at her before pushing her back hard onto his, his hands running down Shiera's slim frame. She let out a sob, quietly begging the seven to at least have mercy for her daughter.
"You have a gorgeous little wife, My Lo—" he couldn't finish as the sound of footsteps and horses filled the ears of everyone present. Shiera felt her heart flutter with relief as she saw that they were Baratheon and Targaryen soldiers. But before she could say anything more the man got a hold of her daughter making her shriek, quickly alerting Robert and every solider instantly. Another pair of hands grabbed her hard, yet she didn't care that man had her daughter.
"No! No not my daughter please!" Shiera sobbed, her voice thick with dread at what was about to come. Her body filled with misery at the cries of Cassandra.
"Let my daughter go!" Shiera knew it was Robert's voice but she was too caught up with watching her daughter placed painfully against the man, her daughters cries becoming more of cries of pain. Shiera felt her eyes begin to blind with tears as she tries getting out of the mans hold. He wouldn't budge though.
The man gave a snicker before pulling out a dagger, signaling the man that had a hold of Shiera to bring her beside him. He gave a quick nod to the four men holding Robert down before all of them returned to the mans side. She watched closely, her heart beating in a million beats as the man brought the knife closer to Cassandra.
Then, the pointed the knife at Robert, "Now, I have heard all about your love towards your family," his eyes cast down to Shiera, his free hand running through her silver locks. "And I see why," his eyes turned to Robert again. "How couldn't you? You have a beautiful wife, children and a title making you happy as ever. While people suffer because of you people. Highborns."
Shiera felt her eyes widen. Never had she heard of any people wanting to cause a riot because of highborns. The man suddenly gave Cassandra back to Shiera making her breath out in relief. Not before he grabbed her once more, now the knife to her neck. Shiera saw Robert coming closer with his soldiers behind him.
"Ah. Don't do that. I am giving you a choice. Your gorgeous wife or your daughter." Shiera felt her insides burn. No! She was finally in peace and finally happy, they would not that that away from her.
The sound of armor halting made it through the open woods.
And the faint whisper came out of Shiera,
"Me," she raised her head. "Take me."
