Lying.

Lies are terrible. Yes, they sometimes may help one person, but there are always consequences.

As much as Iwaizumi hated lying, he couldn't help himself. He didn't want to destroy his and Oikawa's friendship.

Oikawa, on the other hand, was the most open person ever, he never hid anything. Maybe it was because he grew up in a nice and supporting family, because he always had nice friends.

Iwaizumi could easily remember how Oikawa spilled out his feelings when his mother got into an accident, he was sitting there, crying his heart out while Iwaizumi was holding him close, whispering "it's gonna be okay"s into his ear.

Iwaizumi wasn't someone who lied often. He would lie to Oikawa that he was feeling great or that he was happy about him and Hana, he would lie to Oikawa about his day and what he did.

Oikawa never really understood that Iwaizumi was lying. He never saw the pain in his eyes. Ao he kept on rambling about Hana, whilst sitting next to him.
