— IN WHICH elaina clairmont had always hated being weak. as a child, she'd always been smaller, more emotional, more cowardly, weaker than all of her peers. she'd been shunned and ostracized, a nobody that floated around life like a lost soul. elaina was lost in her life, until the day she -quite literally- stumbled across the prettiest boy she'd ever seen bleeding out on her front porch. 

after being forcefully dragged into  a world of mythology itself, elaina finds herself bound in contract with a not-quite-present goddess. in return for being gifted immense magic and a stronger body, elaina has been tasked to find something. not just anything, though- the sword of light. the legendary sword of ireland, the sword that could kill any god or goddess you pleased- on top of being able to shatter and purify any dark or undead force.

as elaina gets closer and closer to the sword, the deadlier things get. old friends and new foes make themselves present at every turn; and a mole amongst their group makes itself known. as elaina finds out more about herself and the very history her family desperately tried to keep from her, it becomes a race between her and the darkness that surrounds them to find the sword.
