-It means both warrior and is the Inuit god of the stars. Tulok was born into a lengthy pedigree, and in his veins is the blood of a long ancestry of renowned lead sled dogs. His breeder gave all his pups names to fit their heritage, and he felt that naming a dog after the god of the stars was fitting because to find your way on the trail at night, dogs look to the stars.ย

-Tulok's fur is medium length. He has a thick, short undercoat that allows him to stay warm, and a coarse overcoat that insulates his heat. His pelt is a deep gold, and the fur just around his muzzle fades to black. His tail fur is much fluffier than the rest of him.

-Tulok is a rather tall dog, but his height is well-proportioned with the rest of his body. One of his ears sticks straight into the air, and the other folds over at the tip, giving a strangely and comically lopsided appearance. His fur is medium length everywhere but his tail, which is extremely fluffy. His eyes are a light brown. His muzzle is black, which tapers into the gold of the rest of his pelt.

-Tulok is a giant goofball. He loves to play, and acts like a pup half the time. New additions to the team are usually shocked to find out that he's six; with his rambunctiousness, they're surprised he's any older than two. He may be juvenile, but he's sharp as a whip. He keeps the older dogs and Ethan Smith on their toes. He's very in tune with the art of racing, given his extensive family history, and he thinks it's a great joke to play little tricks on his owner. After all, he's just a dumb dog. He's very confident, at times overly so. This confidence either brings the team to victory or it sets them back further. Thankfully, it's usually the former. Despite his playful personality, he can get serious if he has someone to help him. It's often one of the swing dogs that helps him get back in line and reel himself in, and because of this he's a bit closer to them than he is the other dogs. He knows for a fact that he isn't the best dog on the team- far from it. He'll accept criticism and work on himself if the criticism is brought to him in a sincere way.

-He's very quick. He's tall and slim, so running is his greatest strength.
-Fast thinker. He can spot something coming up on the trail and think of a way to maneuver the team around it in no time, which is extremely important as a lead dog.
-Humble. He knows the job of a lead dog is not to command the pack. It's to take them where the musher wants them to go, and get them there safely. He's aware of this, and is generally a favorite among the team because he's not overbearing or cocky about his position.
๐ช๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ โโ
-Not strong. While he's not at all weak, he's just average. If he were to have been a wheel dog, his sled days would be over by now. he can run but pulling hard isn't something he's good at.
-Hates water. No real reason to it, but it just gives him the creeps. It's cold, wet, and who knows what might be under the ice?
โโโโ HISTORY
๐๐๐๐๐ฆ๐ง๐ข๐ฅ๐ฌ โโ
-Born in a surprise litter of two, Tulok and his sister Nuna were the most recent additions to a lengthy pedigree of purebred Chinook sled dogs. His great-great-great grandparents were imported from New Hampshire, all the way across the continent, and his first owners began breeding. They got more and more dogs, in order to keep the bloodlines healthy and as far from inbred as possible, and soon enough, there was Tulok.
-Tulok's ancestors have all gone on to be renowned lead dogs. His great grandparents were, his parents were, his siblings were, and now he's on his way to becoming one too. He never really had a choice, but he doesn't mind. He likes it. It keeps him busy, since the lead always has to be watching out for danger and assessing the trail ahead. For a long while, he stayed with the Donahues, his breeders. They trained him well, and before long he was a seasoned sled dog. Even if he might not act like it, don't be fooled. Once he's on the trail, his smile is gone and he's ready to go.
-At five years old, Tulok was sold to Ethan Smith. Tulok took a great liking to the man, both for his attitude and his newness. Tulok could tell Ethan was new to mushing, and he liked to play jokes on him. He'd hide his socks, maybe nip his ankle gently and prance away as if he'd done nothing, things like that. He considers himself a good friend of Ethan.

-Zeus, Father.
-Freya, Mother.
-Nuna, Sister.
-Various other siblings, all from previous litters of his parents'. He never could keep track of them all, and frankly he never cared to try.
* ๐ข๐ฃ๐๐ก๐๐ข๐ก โโ
-Tulok doesn't see the other team as a major threat. He'd like to win. In fact, he thinks he'd probably bring disgrace to his pedigree if he didn't. This is his first real race, though, and he knows it won't reflect terribly on him if he doesn't. If they lose, he'd probably tell the other team well done, and if they won, he'd congratulate them on doing their best.
