Andy used to be a pretty small kid. In season one, he was 5'2", but by season three he's reached his full height of 5'9". He had thick black hair, and dark almond eyes. Andy's always been insecure about his large nose, but has been pretty lucky acne-wise.

Andy is loud and excitable. He likes talking and meeting new people; Andy used to get in trouble for talking to strangers when he was younger. Andy is a big goofball, and has a hard time taking anything seriously. That being said, he's a big sweetheart, and the best person to talk to when you're sad. He'll sit and listen, and only offer advice if you want it. Andy's always got the best advice, he's honestly like your dad. Andy's an amazing listener, and he'll always remember the small details you tell him, making him a very personable and loving friend. Andy is patient, but not quiet. He's very charming in a boyish way, even if most girls his age disagree. Andy is not afraid to get his hands dirty; he's a hard worker and very ambitious. Andy's loyal to his core, and doesn't take any kind of betrayal lightly, even if he tends to be quick to forgive. He does have a hard time saying no at times, and is a bit naive, especially when it comes to relationships. He opens up easily, and attaches to people after hours of knowing them. He's got a big heart and his emotions often get the better of him.

backstory
Pre Season One:
Andy has the stereotypical strict Asian parents home life. His folks are hard workers, and he's a first generation Chinese-American. Because of this, Andy speaks both Mandarin and English. His parents work pretty low end jobs, mostly because Hawkins doesn't have a very big Chinese-speaking population, and they don't know English. They have pretty high expectations for him since he's bilingual, and Andy plans to make them proud. He's lower-middle class, and an only child.
