In which, Adhara is done trying to be aesthetic.

So, yesterday, me, my brother, and our friends decided to take a super-long cycling trip, because we were sick and tired of being cooped up in the house.

We started around 7:15- 7:30 pm, and we decided to go on our route, a half kilometre long, circular route right in front of my house. But when we started it, we saw so many kids playing, in the streets, massless. Like, honestly, it was like there was no COVID around, and the world wasn't going to shit. More than 10 kids were standing huddled together.

That made me so mad. I mean, we told my mom, and then she told us to go on the longer route, which moves through the main road, and is a solid 2 kilometers. We cycled 11 kilometers yesterday, because of those kids. And even on that route, tons of people were walking around without a mask.

Things are shit here.

And no one is doing anything! I mean, they've extended the lockdown to 10 pm, but all they do by that is disrupt the sleep of people by blowing a loud horn right at the center of the city ( It's not a very big city, so the sound reaches every house

And my teachers.

They think COVID is an excuse to over-work the kids. I mean, I have extra coaching classes, because my parents say, "There's a lot of competition out there, kid. You're either number one or nothing."

So what if my mother studied a lot at her time in school? She's her. I'm me.

I just don't understand why i have to study so much.

If the schools were open, it would have been bearable. I honestly miss school, because MY FRIENDS.

Ah, the fun we had. I'm severely nostalgic for that.

Want an example?

Before COVID, at a birthday of Di, she had a party at a place. And a few blocks down from that place was the restraint we had to go to to have dinner and cake.

And since Di's dad's car couldn't take a lot of people, all of us had to squeeze in.

Two girls rode shotgun, and 8 fit themselves in the backseat ( They sat in the laps of each other ) and three were still left.

I was one of those three.

Di's dad opened up the trunk of her car, and he told us to sit there. Me, Sammy, and another friend of Di's fir ourselves in the trunk, and off we went. Di's dad drove real slow, and all the people were laughing at us.

We decided to have some fun, and we heard the laughter from inside the car, so we waved to the people laughing at us, all the while making sure we didn't squash the cake.

We had some food, and then we realised that we had forgotten the birthday bumps.

And, to Di's utter embarrassment, we gave her birthday bumps outside the restaurant, in the street.

That was fun.

Honestly, I'm gonna go now, before I reveal more stuff that'll make me sob from the utter nostalgia.

Bye, guys.
