on the 12th hour of the first day of october 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. this was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. sir reginald hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible.

brielle was born october 1, 1989,
meaning she has powers just like the academy and sparrows. she can shapeshift into anyone she wants and take their strength and abilities. when she was young, she tripped and fell through time using a mysterious briefcase she found on the street, causing her to land in 1951. she has been locked up in an insane asylum ever since that day because she thought she had powers.

diego is able to curve the trajectory of any object he throws, allowing him to hit his target with devastating accuracy. he uses this gift primarily to throw knives while fighting criminals as his vigilante alter-ego. when he transports back to 1963 and lands in an insane asylum, he meets someone who believes all his crazy theories and powers.

lila has the ability to mimic the powers of the umbrella academy and the sparrow academy while in close proximity to them and can typically use these powers with great skill, besting their original owners in combat with ease. however, she is unable to master mimicry itself and can only use one power at a time which would render her vulnerable if everyone ganged up on lila at once.

luther has superhuman strength, which made him an indispensable member of The Umbrella Academy in their heyday, leading the team and sticking around longer than anybody else.

allison has the ability to control people by saying the phrase "I heard a rumour..." followed by whatever she wishes them to do. it is a power with unnerving implications and became a point of serious contention later with her husband and her rise to fame.

klaus. 32. pansexual.
klaus is able to communicate with the dead and make them tangible figures in the land of the living. however, quite literally haunted by his powers, he has resorted to drug and alcohol abuse which has limited his effectiveness in recent years. he is often accompanied by the ghost of Number Six. (sorry ben is not in this story and is only mentioned once or twice!!)

(not cannon that he is asexual). number five is gifted with the power of teleporting through space and time, which he can use to travel short distances (across a room) and considerably longer ones (decades into the future). the problem is, his control over this ability is unreliable, which is why he ended up trapped on a post-apocalyptic earth and later trapped with his family in the 60s. due to his time-travel shenanigans, he has grown much older than his adoptive siblings at the Academy, but is stuck in the body of a 13-year-old.

(viktor and he/him in s3 but in season two he uses she/her pronouns so that's what i'll be using for this story)
(her being lesbian is not cannon) originally thought to have no special abilities, it emerged in the first season that vanya was actually the most powerful member of the Umbrella Academy. she can convert sound into pure destructive force, capable of killing people and destroying entire buildings, using her violin as a tool to channel this power.

thirty years old, and there he is, unchanged in the ways he is unchanged. the same raven curls and chocolate brown eyes. he's dressed in a black button-down, the sleeves of his shirt rolled to his elbows, a suit jacket flung over one shoulder, his other hand hooked loosely in the pocket of his slacks.

"you're pissing me off," brielle huffed, her round face becoming tinted with a slight red as the crimson blood fills her cheeks from anger.
"and that's turning me on," diego retorts, his voice flat and raspy. "so you might want to tone down the hate glares if you don't want to get slammed against this wall and getting made out with so hard our cover is blown." his face is close to hers, their breaths in sync. her eyes look down to his lips.

"i don't like it."
diego's voice stops brielle in her tracks. she turns around slowly to face him. "you don't like what?"
"when others touch you."

"do you know cleopatra was an egyptian queen?"
brielle nods. "i read many books about it in the nuthouse, saying she was the most beautiful woman of her time."
"people are crazy, aren't they?" diego says as he puts one hand on brielle's waist.
"why?"
"they don't know what they're talking about. one look at you and they would have snatched away her crown and laid it right at your feet."

"you don't look like an alien." brielle said to to herself but loud enough for him to hear. it seemed important to mention.
he arched a brow. "what do aliens look like?"
"you know, green, slimy, big eyes." she paused and sighed. "not hot"
"you think i'm hot?"

brielle is not specified to have any specific features. she could be black, white, asian, native american, or a fucking cloud for whatever reason. she can have any length or color hair, any color eyes or anything else. this is a reader x character story and their appearance is up to you. the only thing specified in this story is her name but you can change that too if you want.

brielle is a feminine female and uses she/her pronouns. so if that comes up in the book, don't be surprised. if you are uncomfortable with that at all click off as well or you can keep reading. you can also however change the pronouns too if you want to still read. i will include feminine outfits at the top of the story but please feel free to comment your own outfits by linking it or something and sharing what you think she could wear in the comments. i love to see the outfits you guys find.

brielle's age is specified in this book at 27 which is an appropriate age for diego in this story. she is not any other age, no young and no older. she is not a minor and not an elder, so diego is not committing any felonies or breaking the laws. minors reading this story is totally fine tho! i myself am a minor writing this.
