Ami's POV :

The sounds of screams filled the living room of the apartment. I looked over from my place next to the sizzling stove to the two boys hunched over a laptop screen. The two of them had big grins spread through their face. The sounds of one's family on the other end bringing an insane amount of happiness to the room.

"Here you guys go." I said as I brought a plate of freshly made spam masubi to their place on the kitchen table.

"Thanks Ami." Willie said taking his eyes off the screen to grab two and proceeding to bite into them.

"Thanks my love." The other said lowly in case of his unaware family and friends on the other end would hear. I held his hand under the table then walked off to the privacy of my room, leaving my boyfriend and my bestfriend in the comforts of their loved ones.

Louis's POV :

"So Louis! First award, we're so proud of you!!" My mom shouted from her end. Making Will and I wince at the loud sound.

"Mum you don't need to yell, they can hear you just fine." Issie said on her end. Her background being her dorm room at Uni. Mum scoffed at her.

My childhood friends were also at my home, celebrating with my family. All of them having wine or champagne glasses in their hands.

"Thanks mum, we really wish you guys were here though." I said taking a sip of the drink in hand while William went to in front of the camera to make his appearance.

"Hi Mrs. Partridge! Miss you!" He said towards the screen, my mom already making baby eyes at him. I rolled my eyes at the scene before darting them in the direction of Ami's room. The door was closed shut.

I looked away sadly knowing she was upset about the situation and I wish I could've flown out Mr. and Mrs. Williams, but I knew she would feel worse.

"Big brother you Will thank me for you first ever award won't you? Knowing I'm your favorite sister and all." Millie said grabbing my attention. Sally by her side giggling as her older brother John rolled his eyes at the two.

"Oh piss off Emilia, Louis better thank me, I practically raised you two." Issie said, her face becoming alarmingly too close to the camera.

Mum scoffed at her, which we all took notice of. "Mum don't even, you and dad were too drunk to even notice!"

Before anyone can interject, another frame was added to the call. The joyous faces of the Millers popped up onto the screen making all of us bellow in joy.

I laughed along with everyone as they shared their hellos wishing I had another presence beside me.

Ami's POV :

I tried to cover out the happy noises coming from outside my door, but it was failing miserably. I wish I wasn't stuck here at home, but Timmy took my car to visit set and Uncle Alex went to visit Auntie Jo at work. Leaving me with the two boys on their zoom call with their families.

I didn't want to think about my own back home, possibly because they probably haven't thought about me since the minute I set foot outside the front door. But it was hard. Knowing once all this is over, I don't really have a family to go back to.

Uncle Alex and Auntie Jo would still be living in L.A. while Timmy would most likely move back to New York. Lou's family has seen enough of my own trauma. And Willies' still lives in Australia.

But then again there are the Williams...but I can't possibly bother them, they've done too much for me. I can't bother them with my own problems. I'm not even their own kid.

I was so lost in my thoughts of my lack of family I didn't realize my fist closing tight, making my knuckles white. My face becoming hot with envy. I was envious of my best friend and my boyfriend and their happy families they have. They don't even realize how lucky they were.

I could hear the toasting and the cheers from across the hallway. Now I wish I was a good sport and went out there to join them. It would've been nice to be crowded by their positivity. Plus I haven't talked to Mills and Iss in forever.

Louis's POV :

"Oi Louis boy. How is America? Is it actually sunny all the time?" Sammy asked from across the room. I had just finished showing them my apartment aside from Ami's room which door was still closed shut. My parents had left to join the neighbors for some wine while Millie went who knows where with Sally. Leaving my friends in charge of the zoom call.

"It's alright mate, and yeah honestly it's sunny literally all the time...it's scary." I replied back as I let my back rest on my headboard. Looking out my door to see William unsuccessfully show his own friends the apartment.

"Can you guys see? I can't tell I'm using the laptop." I heard him say.

"Boy all we see are your dirty fucking socks." He looked down offensively making me chuckle.

"So got any girlfriends pretty boy?" I snapped my head back to the camera to see John smirking at me. I rolled my eyes playfully, but uncontrollably my cheeks became warm.

"Ay Ay he's blushing. Mate's down bad for her!" The boys became mad on the screen, taking shots, sharing I told you so's.

"I haven't told you guys who it is yet!" I said defensively not wanting them to get to excited until they see my beautiful girl.

That's when they all paused and looked at the camera, then became to laugh continuing their shots.

"Mate we've already seen her!" Did you forget your New Year's Eve snogging event in the back patio? We all sawr it." John said chugging his wine down.

I definitely felt my cheeks become red then. "We weren't snogging! I just...pulled her in for a kiss."

The boys began to cheer in the back as my eyes wandered to the room across mine. The door still shut, thinking about the girl inside the room.

Little did I know she heard everything that was said in the call due to the thinness of the walls and she started to smile for the first time in a while.

but anyways I haven't updated in a month and I'm super sorry. I had surgery then work and then state testing so everything was piling against me. ALSO THIS CHAPTER WAS CRAPPY AND I HAD LITTLE TO NO NOTES FOR IT ???
