The group eventually ended up in a place that appeared to be a desert "Weird" Grover admitted "Like weird in general or just weird" Asteria gestured around them "Havent heard the dog in away" Grover mentioned as Asteria put her hand up blocking the sum from her face

"He chased us all that way and then just stopped, i wonder why" Confusion laced in Percy's voice "That's what im saying" Grover agreed walking along side the teens "Maybe they got what they needed to scare us away" Asteria suggested shrugging her shoulders

Asteria could hear the faint flapping noise coming from the shoes "Fuck" Asteria muttered as Grover moved slightly in the air "Grover? Where are you going" Percy started following the boy as Asteria followed along

"I don't know! I cant stop!" Grover looked down at Asteria - she knew what he was thinking "Why aren't yours doing the same we have the same shoes?!" He asked almost suspicious "I dont know! You're the one who ended up in the air!" She explained her self

Grover started going faster up the mountain "Stop moving so much!" Asteria groaned as Grover's panic grew more "Im trying! Guys! It's the shoes" He can up with the theory, of course it was the shoes.

"Grover!" Percy yelled for his friend running behind him "Can't you make you're shows you know fly and get him?!" Asteria scoffed "Maybe? But you're seriously suggesting right now for me to get him and possibly endanger us more!" Asteria ran a hand through her hair

"Asteria, you know i didn't mean it like that" His gaze softened, Asteria felt her cheeks heat up a bit "Asteria! Percy!" Grover yelled almost falling into the hole "Maia" Asteria whispering her shoes lifted her up making over to Grover "Hold on!" She shouted

"No! I knew this wouldn't work!" Asteria yelled as Grover pulled her down into the sand with him - Asteria panicked as they kept slipping down "Percy!" The both yelled as he ran towards them grabbing onto Asterias arm "Grover don't you dare let go" Percy got out his sword and placed it into the ground stopping them aggressively

Asteria's shoes stopped but Grovers didn't. The shoes eventually flew off Grover "Luke is gonna kill me!" Asteria whispers as she watched the shoes fall "Well at least i didn't die" Grover panted

Percy pulled Asteria close to his chest after their hundredth near death experience. It was clear Asteria was still in shock her breath was heavy trying to calm down. His hand was close for comfort. "I wont ever suggest you doing anything like that again" He admitted, he regretted even telling her to do such thing

"What was that?" Grover asked as he heard someone clank - Asteria furrowed her brows as Percy took of his backpack and opening it, he reached in pulling out something "It teleported?" Asteria was unsure of her question "Never mind that isn't the sword" Asteria whispered feeling embarrassed at her previous question

"Is this-" Percy began but Grover cut him off "No." He stated almost immediately he knew something, Asteria just didn't know what yet "I mean it looks-" Percy tried speaking again "It absolutely is not" Grover was nervous seeing the thing in Percy's hand, almost in denial about the object

"Do you mind elaborating, are we talking about how it looks identical to the master bolt, that's kinda scary" Asteria was still confused but she had an idea of what it could be "So what is it then?" Percy was now confused as well "Yeah, that's the master bolt" Grover spoke so fast in disbelief "I mean, i think so, right?"

"Well it looks like it" Asteria agreed shrugging her shoulders, the group kept talking over eachother, all of them had so many questions. "How is it in your bag?" Grover asked, Asteria inspected Percy's bag closely "Wait, this isn't my bag, this is the bag Ares gave me" Percy came to realization

"That makes sense now that you mention it" Asteria ran a hand through her hair "So wouldn't that mean-" Asteria didn't have the chance to finish the sentence as Percy thought the same thing "Area had the master bolt this entire time and tricked us"

"Well you guys seriously believed that a man like him wouldn't lie to a group of kids and take advantage of them?" Asteria ranted "But when you look at it like that, it was obvious now what his intentions were" She added on

"He was working with Hades?" Grover asked as Asteria hummed in realization "I guess so" Percy shrugged it off like it was nothing "I mean- That was it, right? That's the quest"

"Well not yet" Asteria whispered as she looked at the boys "Zeus is expecting us to return this" Percy looked behind them, Grover and Asteria looked towards his gaze "You have to be kidding me." Asteria shook her head "Zeus is gonna have to wait, let's go get your mom"
