After the groups near death encounter - Annabeth decided to lead them towards the woods

"Somewhere up ahead this turns into a satyr path" Grover mentioned as Asteria furrowed her brows in confusion "What's a satyr path" The teens said in sync

"a road through the wildness, harder to track us"

Percy quickly went on a rant on how the group needed help and how they needed to call camp "We don't need help. We're fine" Annabeth calmed the boy's concerned "It dosent seem like we're fine" Asteria scoffed

"I would say we're the opposite of fine" Percy added at the end of his rant, Honestly Asteria could care less about the conversation the group was having

"We have to move forward whether you like it of not" Annabeth complained "If you don't wanna call camp fine, but atleast let's call your mom" Percy suggested

"You and your mother seem close. So, why don't we ask her for help?"

"Percy" Asteria whispered trying to get him to stop, he only looked down at her before facing his attention to the group "Grover, explain to your friend to pull himself together"

"You can't ask her, can you" Percy continued, Asteria grabbed his arm trying to pull him away before the argument got to heated but he just wouldn't stop

"I don't know why you keep pulling him into this, He's on my side" Asteria made eye contact with Grover who was also standing there awkwardly

"Percy come on" Asteria tried once one but Percy didn't budge "You know he's my protector, it's his job" Percy explained to Annabeth

Grover tried to change the topic but failed miserably after the truth of him being Luke, Thalia's and Annabeth's protector got exposed

"Wait be quiet"

"What no." Percy disagreed  "Just shush" Grover stated before he started sniffing the air "Someones cooking hamburgers in the middle of the woods" He sniffed more "If your hungry just say that" Asteira groaned in annoyance

They eventually reached a placed called 'Aunty Ems'  "This is someone from our world" Grover continued to walk up the driveway that was covered in stone figures

"Is it just me or all these stone figures remind you of Medusa" Asteria hummed at her realization "Yeah i mean what did you guys think 'em' was short for?"

"I say we ditch" Asteria suggested "Let's leave while we still can" The group turned around quickly just to be met with a terrifying creature 'Alecto' once again

She began to talk to Annabeth bringing up an offer "Offer? What offer" Percy questioned turning towards Annabeth

"I guess i was right" Asteria quickly covered her face as Medusa's footsteps approached slowly "If you have something to resolve, why not come inside and i'll help?" Medusa suggested

Percy got closet to Asteria trying to shield from from any harm that could be done, Asteria was trying not to pay attention to Medusa's words she knew if she got to interested she would probably turn around

"Not if it means reporting that she failed to retrieve the son of Poseidon" Meduse exposed Alectos plan, Asteria could see that Percy want to turn around "Percy don't please" She whispered

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Im medusa" She acted - honestly after Medusa had offered them lunch it was tempting, they would be able to escape Alecto for awhile

"I think we can trust her" Percy admitted as the group all faced him with the same unbelievable stare "Seriously that is rule number one don't trust anyone outside your circle"

"But you have a point" Asteria said before looking at Percy who had a faint smile on his lips he was glad she was on his side

"So we're going in. You guys do what you want" Percy grabbed Asteria arm before starting to walk forward as Groved quickly followed "I knew you would come along" Grover just laughed

The group walked in seeing the view of all the snacks on the table, As annabeth joined the group before everyone sat down

"I don't know about you guys but im gonna eat"

"Do you know the story on how i came to be this way?" Medusa asked the teens who didn't reply which led Medusa to being her story

"Athena was everything to me. I worshipped her, i prayed to her, I made offerings. She never answered. Not even an omen to suggest she appreciated my love" She explained before targeting Annabeth

"I wasn't like you sweetheart!, I was you." Medusa raised her tone slightly, Asteria reached for Percys hand who interlocked their finger together

"But then one day, another god came, and he broke that silence" Medusa started up again bringing up Percy's father and Annabeth's mother

"That isn't what happened" Annabeth defended her mom "That is not what happened, and you are a liar" Annabeth raised her voice - Asteria felt as if something was going to happen

"Would you mind helping me in the kitchen?" Medusa asked as Percy got up letting go of her hand "I have a bad feeling"

"We all do, now get ready to run" Asteria got up from her seat, grabbing a couple sweets for the rest of the trip "Don't look at me like that Grover" She rolled her eyes

"Percy what happened" Asteria asked as he rushed back into the room "Shush all of you" He opened the box of shoes before putting them on, he grabbed Asterias handed and told everyone to follow him

Asteria opened her mouth to say something put Grover clamped a hand over it muffling her sentence - the door creaked opened as fire outlined the staircase and lit up the whole come

"Come on" Annabeth whispered leading them away from the door "If we slit up, she cant he watching all us all at once" Grover brought up

"It's not that simple" Annabeth went against grover "It could be" He complied "Here the plan. I'll get in the air, i'll draw her attention"

"As soon as you guys hear me say 'maia'" Grover couldn't finish his sentence as Asteria and him started floating upwards

"You idiot!" Asteria gritted her teeth as Grover floated around the room not knowing how to control them "Maia" She whispered as they brought her back down

"We need a new plan" Annabeth stated the obvious "We are not out parents until we choose to be" Medusa voice echoed through the room startling the teens, as they started walking away

"You three have chosen" Medusa's voice echoed once more as Asteria shook her head not agreeing with the woman's words

"Look down she could be anywhere" Asteria reminded them, Asteria yelped as Percy dragged her behind a crate box

"Im sorry" He examined her making sure she was okay, she only nodded trying to be as quiet as possible as Medusa's footsteps got closer

"Stand up. Let's have a look at you" Medusa was right behind them, Percy automatically got up closing his eyes gripping the spear in his hand

"I didn't really think this through!" Grovers yelling caught Medusas attention as Annabeth appeared placing the cap on the woman's head
"Now!" Annabeth yelled as Percys swong his spear, Medusa yelled which shortly got cut off my a thud hitting the ground

"Is she dead?" Asteria got up from behind the crate standing next to Percy "Did you head that?" Everyone gave Percy a look it was obvious they had all heard that

Annabeth helped Grover up "Why would you go close to that Percy?" Asteria asked disgust in her tone as Percy picked what seemed to be Medusas head up

"You found it?" Annabeth approached as Percy nodded "Do you want me to take it from here?" Annabeth had led the group out of the room and back into the house

"No, i got it" Percy reassured, Asteria sat down quietly watching Annabeth and Percy from afar - she didn't know what feelings she was expressing and to make matters worse she was feeling this way over a guy she barely met

Asteria's thoughts came to a sudden stop "Asteria" Percy called out catching her attention "You coming?" He asked pointing back to the basement where Grover still was "Yeah" She mumbled

Percy smiled and waited till she was next to him to continue walking
