LIBERIO

"So this is what it's like." You twirled around with your arms spread out. "It feels so good to be walking outside." A hum of relief escaped your lips.

Reiner followed close behind and watched her carefully. Even though you were discharged from the hospital and feeling a lot better he still was concerned. He offered to carry your bag but you had refused to let him continue treating you like you were still weak and frail.

"Be careful!" Reiner watched as Pieck's body collided with yours.

Pieck let out a soft gasp and grabbed onto your shoulders. "Y/N! You're out?"

Your head was spinning in circles. It probably wasn't a good idea to be spinning so fast after downing a couple slices of toast. "Mhm."

"Y/N I told you to let me carry your bag." Reiner frowned and forced the bag out of your grip. He swung it over his shoulder and grabbed your hand in his, pulling you away from Pieck.

Your face became a blank slate. You didn't know exactly what was going on but your stomach was churning. You didn't realize you had not fully digested your meal and you were paying the price for it.

"Hey!" Pieck chased behind the two of you. She elbowed Reiner and flashed him a small glare. "That wasn't very nice Reiner. I was still talking to Y/N."

Reiner looked down at her and sighed. "Pieck she just got discharged. I'm taking her back to my house. She'll be staying there for the mean time, I'm sure my mother wouldn't mind."

You almost flinched at his statement. Staying at his house? Can't I stay with Pieck? "I- uh."

"See!" Pieck cupped your cheeks and stared at your eyes. "Y/N would be better off staying at my place. After all I'm a girl, she's a girl. She'll be far more comfortable."

Great, are they going to get into a little argument again? You mentally palmed yourself in the face.

"Why don't I stay with no—"

"I won't allow that." Pieck and Reiner cut you off in unison.

"What are you two doing?" An unfamiliar voice had joined in on the conversation. You turned on your heels to find a tall man with slicked-back blonde hair. He widened his eyes slightly and bent over to your eye level.

"Pock help me convince this idiot." Pieck crossed her arms over her chest. She and Reiner went at it with a glaring contest.

So that's Porco.

"You look unfamiliar. Do you live here?" He ignored Pieck's request and focused his attention onto you.

You nodded with uncertainty. "I think so?"

He huffed, unconvinced. "You live with...?"

"She lives with me." Reiner clenched his jaw.

"Oh shut up, let Y/N decide on that." Pieck rolled her eyes.

Porco dug his hands into his pockets and bobbed his head, finally understanding the situation. A mischievous grin curled upon his lips as a new idea came to his mind. You watched as his face changed in seconds.

Unexpectedly, he threw his arm around you putting some of his weight onto your shoulders. He hardly even knew you. He clicked his tongue and shook his head. "Since you two can't seem to come to an agreement why don't I take her?"

"What?!" The two snapped their heads towards Porco with eyes widened with shock.

Great.

"Hey," He drew his face closer to your ear and whispered "Usually Pieck is the one separating me and that asshole from a fight but seems like the tables have turned. So go along with whatever I say."

For some reason his statement left you unsure. You couldn't possibly trust a man you had just met. Besides Pieck said he was grumpy.

"Porco stop sticking your nose in our business." Reiner stood in front of the two of you, his eyes burning at Porco.

"Not cool Pock." Pieck added.

"Why? What makes it any different to what you guys are doing?" Porco combed his fingers through his hair as the smirk on his face only grew wider.

Now that you thought about it Porco did have a point. You observed both Pieck and Reiner's expressions drastically change.

"He does have a point Reiner." Pieck looked at you "I'm sorry Y/N. That was a bit childish wasn't it?" She laughed softly.

Reiner nodded, agreeing with Pieck. It was just getting harder for him to control his emotions, it wouldn't be long until you would eventually figure things out. He knew how smart you were even though you were oblivious most of the time.

That was a time he wouldn't ever want to come.

"Sorry." He mumbled.

"Oh well that's too bad." Porco removed his arm from your shoulders and stretched his arms up to the sky. "I wouldn't have minded seeing a cute face like yours every morning."

Reiner and Pieck nearly felt their jaws drop to the ground. "I'm going to be sick." Pieck's body shuttered.

"I'm with you on that one Pieck." You exhaled.

"Oh boo. Don't you know how to roll along with a joke?" He buried his hands back into his pockets and yawned. "Anyways while you two were here screwing around I had a little talk with War Chief Zeke. We're going to have a meeting in a couple days so please have your little feud sorted out by then."

Reiner nodded, "We'll see you Galliard." He brushed past the him and wrapped his hand around your wrist, dragging you along with him again.

"I'm not done you idiot." Porco grabbed onto your shoulder causing you to abruptly stop. You nearly fell backwards but luckily Porco was just right behind you. "I know someone with a little loft just on the outskirts of the Internment Camp, they can help your friend get settled."

A feeling of relief had washed over you at his idea. Thank the gods.

Pieck's eyes lit up at Porco's suggestion. "I knew you'd come along and save my day Pock!" She clapped her hands together.

"I'm actually saving your friend here but whatever." He rubbed the back of his head.

Reiner's grasp around your wrist loosened. He gave Porco a side-eye. "Let's just hope your friend is kind enough to welcome Y/N."

Later on that evening, the group made their way to the outskirts of the internment zone. The sky was painted with a midnight blue along with twinkling stars. You walked ahead of the other three with your hands clasped behind your back, attention fully captivated by the beautiful night sky.

Porco gently nudged Reiner and spoke in a low voice. "Who even is she?"

Reiner looked at the ground, kicking each pebble he came across. "Y/N Ivanov. I rescued her from Paradis."

"What?" His voice went up an octave in shock. "She's from Paradis? No wonder I've never seen her around."

Pieck pushed her long hair back into a low ponytail. "Yeah. You could only imagine the trouble we went through to get her. Zeke was against it but Reiner insisted since she was a part of the military over there."

"To think we would've gotten anything useful out of her," She continued on "now we're left with a girl who doesn't even remember where she came from."

"We can't give her those memories back. She's on Liberio now and she will not have any memories of anything before this." Reiner's fingers curled up to a fist.

You continued down the street despite hearing your name come up in whatever conversation the three of them were having. At moments your curiosity peaked making you turn your head slightly to watch them from the corner of your eye.

The group had finally reached the little house Porco was going on about. In front of the door stood a tall skinny silhouette that wore a long white coat. In his hand he carried a brown leather briefcase.

"There he is," Porco smiled and approached his friend "Hey William!"

The silhouette's face was finally revealed underneath the dim streetlight. It was no doubt the male nurse you saw everyday at the hospital. He was just returning home after a long day at the hospital.

"Oh Porco!" He pushed his glasses up and looked at him. "Did you need something?"

Reiner's fist only grew tighter. "That bastard brought her here? He's friends with that nurse?" He growled.

"I don't see a problem." Pieck tilted her head.

William's ocean eyes had finally landed on your
{e/c} ones. A small welcoming smile stretched across his face,

"Isn't this interesting? Hello again Miss Ivanov"
