Catalina threw her keys in a bowl on the counter tops. She sighed and threw herself on the couch. Helping out in the local schools for career day had its ups and downs. Mainly downs. "Hello?" She groaned into her phone.

"Were the kids that bad?" Ruby laughed.

"I mean I've had better days with kids, how are you and Eduardo?" Cata asked, making her way to the kitchen to make some food. "What did you guys do for your anniversary? Crazy to think that it's been five years already."

"Five years and I still fall more in love with him everyday." Ruby smiled. "But let's not talk about my love life, did you find out who was calling you?"

For the past weeks, multiple calls had been made, each of them was even crazier than the other. Cata knew it was some of her dad's men that were in the U.S trying to fuck with her. Everytime she would receive one, she had her friend todd by her side, tracing the call. Each of them coming from different locations.

"It only took thirty seconds, Ruby. Got three guys in jail, one of them almost got a shot at me. He's a pretty good shot unlike his friends." Cata made herself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich then hopped onto the kitchen counters.

"I know you know how to handle a gun, but please be careful. I can't lose you." Ruby spoke.

"Don't worry because you're not going to. I have at least three beretta m9 scattered in my house. And I'm close to a police station, nothing's wrong."

"You make me worry too much sometimes." Ruby chuckled.

"How's Colombia? Is the weather nice?"

Ruby had moved to colombia after she met Eduardo. They married in Colombia and remained there. She had a nice decent place close to Eduardo's work. When she wasn't busy helping in the comunas, she would call her older sister and talk for hours until it was time to make dinner for her and Eduardo.

"Same old. When do you plan on visiting? Horacio is asking."

"You know he's not the only one," Ruby trailed off. Cata knew what she was talking about. In this case, who she was talking about. "You don't know how many times Javier has come over to the house wanting to know if by some miracle, you're here! He's going out of his mind!"

"That's nice to know, what does he want? A thank you?"

"I think he wants some of Catalina Guerrero!"

"Uh huh okay." Cata laughed into the phone. She was about to continue her conversation when her work phone that Carrillo had given her years ago rang. She hadn't picked up that phone in years. "Rubes, it's been nice talking to you but I'm going to have to hang up. I'll call when I can."

"Okay, take care." Ruby said as she ended the call.

Cata set down the phone and walked to her room where the phone was ringing inside a drawer. She opened the drawer and found the phone still ringing surrounded by pieces of papers with names on them, her gun and a hunting knife. She grabbed a hold of the phone, waiting a few seconds before answering.

"Yes?"

"Cata? It's me, Carrillo." Her friends voice calmed her.

"I know, you're the only one with this number. Kind of shitty to calm through this phone instead of another one." Cata walked back into the living room, pacing around.

"I know, and I wouldn't have if I didn't need your help. You're the only one I trust nowadays," Carrillo spoke. "I need you to come back."

"And for what reason? Horacio, being there will bring bick all the bad memories that my whole family, at one point, was richer than the fucking president from cocaine! Fucking drugs!"

"Cata, I understand, but you're the only person that knows more about the narcos. I won't let anything happen to you, I promise. But please, I need you here." Carrillo pleaded.
