The weekend came and that meant one thing. The Montgomery-Diggle children were spending the day with their mother and end the day with dinner, joined by Laura, Flores and Cory.
Lucky for Giovana, her team understood that she wouldn't be able to come in at all that weekend so that made things ten times less stressful.
Giovana felt the rays of the golden Saturday sun on her face as she woke up. She smiled to herself as she lept out of bed and practically bounce to her bathroom in need of a shower.
Once she finished that she spent almost 15 minutes choosing an outfit. She ended up choosing her pair of grey Nike sneakers, high waist jeans, a striped sweater and her black bomber jacket. She brushed and tied her hair up then took the necklace her mom had mailed to her for her 10th birthday.
It was a small silver butterfly that she loved wearing, sometimes when she was nervous or scared she would take it out of her jewelry box and fiddle with it to calm her down.
After pairing the necklace with a pair of silver flat stud earrings, she texted Bailey who responded with some reassuring words before proceeding downstairs.

After a peaceful waffle and bacon breakfast, Saoirse, Giovana, Genesis and Grayson were driving down the streets of Central City.
They started off at Jitters, after parking the car the group proceeded to go inside the cafe. They sat on these tall bar chairs before Iris came up to the four.
"Hey Gia, good to see you again as always. What can I get you guys?" She asked as she took out her notepad and pencil.
"My usual, a cafe mocha with caramel sauce instead of chocolate please." Gia told Iris who had already written it down since the girl often comes.
"I'll have the same. Gina? Gray what are you two having?" Saoirse asked her other two children.
"Cappuccinos for the both of us please." Gray told Iris before the woman left the four.
"So, how's school treating you all? I hope it's not to much work." Saoirse asked her children.
"Well, I stopped dancing after Freshman year." Gia told her mother.
"How come? You were so good at it. Laura always sent me pictures and videos."
"For one there isn't a dance team at the highschool we're at and the other reason would probably be because of the fact that I don't really have time for that anymore. You know AP classes and homework. No time ." Gia explained, leaving out the part where she's apart of a group of Metahuman vigilantes.
"That makes sense. Gina, Gray what are you doing currently any clubs or sports?"
"I got into the football team but other than that, nothing much." Gray told them.
"I'm just doing cheerleading for now." Gina said quietly, which was odd for the girl.
They drank their coffee then ended up taking a walk.
"I'm sorry that I've been gone for so long." Their mother said to them.
"Where have you been all this time?" Gina asked, speaking for the first time in that entire day.
"I'd rather explain when we're not so out in the open."
"What could be so bad that you can't tell us now?" Gina questioned her mother, sounding slightly annoyed.
"Its not easy to explain why our uncle and the rest of our mothers side of the family were massacred 14 years ago" Gia mumbled to herself
"What did you say Gia?" Her mother asked.
"Don't worry. Leta just enjoy the day." Gia assured before linking her arms with her mother who did the same with Gina and the same with Grayson.

They got home a few hours later after a long but lovely day. Grayson and Gia mostly enjoyed but throughout the day, Gina kept her guard up and her usual bitchy attitude to her sister.
The Montgomery-Diggle children were dispersed around the house. Grayson was watching Netflix on the tv downstairs, Gia was face timing Bailey and Gina was in her room staring at the ceiling, thinking.
"G, what's wrong?" Bailey asked through the phone.
"Nothing."
"I know that look, because I know you. Something's bothering you, I can see it."
"Its just. I thought today I'd finally be able to get through to Gina but like usual she held her everyday 'I hate my sister' look."
"Listen I know she's your sister but she's really...like the BPAE version of you..."
"The what?"
"Before the Particle Accelerator Explosion version of you. You know the you that used to call us nerds every single damn second of our days." Bailey explained before the two burst into laughter.
"I'm sorry about that but I guess your right."
"Of course I am."
"I think I'm gonna go try and talk to her."
"Good luck with that, I gotta go. Cassie is dragging me some where with Xander and Hannah."
"I'll text you later. Bye." Gia waved at her friend who did the same back before hanging up.
Gia stretched before getting off her bed and walking towards her door. The house was quiet, the adults had gone out on their own errands, well Laura did. Cory and Flores were still busy traveling for work.
She opened her door and walked down the hall to her sister's room and before she could knock she noticed the door was open, held open by a door stopper. She stood in the doorway hoping Gina would notice she was there.
"What do you want?" Gina asks bluntly as she turned onto her stomach.
"Can we talk?"
"About?"
"Earlier today. I noticed your still angry with me." Gia started before getting cut off
"Oh gee I wonder why?" Gina interrupted.
"Gina-"
"Genesis." She corrected.
"Genesis-" Gia said before getting cut off again.
"Gina is for me friends and people that are close to me. You are just some girl who got me dragged to this city." She hissed as she got off her bed.
"Genesis. Today was a day we were supposed to use to get to know our mother, not a day that you were supposed to use to glare at me the entire time. What is going on with you?"
"I heard what you said." Gina said.
"Nope we're not changing the subject."
"About our family being massacred." Gina said ignoring her, a shocked and fearful expression washed over Gia's face. "So you do know something about that." Gia followed her sister as they walked down their hallway to the stairs.
"Gina it's not that easy to explain-" Gia stuttered before getting cut off again.
"Genesis!" Gina corrected as she snapped her head around to glare at her sister. "I have a right to know what's going on in my family."
"Unless I'm mistaken you didn't want anything to do with us in the first place."
"Grayson and I still have a right to know, whether we like it or not."
"I can't tell you, that's the problem!" Gia yelled
"You can't or you won't?" Gina asked while Grayson tried to ignore the yelling. "Or are you just scared."
"I'm terrified, utterly afraid that if I tell you anything you, Grayson, your parents, our aunt, our older brother John and his family everyone we know and love could get severely hurt if I tell you a single sentence." Gia exclaimed as her eyes pooled with tears.
Gina glared at her some more. "I don't believe you." Gia let out a laugh.
"Of course you don't, your hatred for me is most definitely clouding your judgement."
"I have multiple reasons why I hate you, for one you were the last person who saw our mother before she left, you know why she left and you won't tell is why."
"Its not my story to tell!"
"Bull shit! I leave all my home in Keystone to come to the hell hole because I found out I had a sister and that I was a bloody triplet.I found out that my biological mother was alive. I did not leave my home in Keystone just for me to not know why we were all separated in the first place.
"I would love to tell you every got detail about everything but I know more details than mom does and that only means that when she wants to tell you what she knows, she'll tell you."
"When will you tell us?" Gina questioned.
"Never! It's not safe." Gia said
"Screw you!" Gina yelled.
"No screw you, I have tried for weeks and I mean weeks! To try to reason with you, get to know you because you're my sister and we're family but all you've done is try blame me and make me feel bad about everything that has caused you to move here. Well no more. I'm done trying. So when you come to your senses and want to be my sister like Grayson is my brother, you'll know where to find me." Gia ranted and before her sister could say another word she marched to her room.
She slammed the door shut and leaned her back against it before sliding down. She let out a shakey breathe before wiping a few tears that she hadn't even realised had come out, away. She knew who would be able to make her feel better.
She pushed herself up before getting her phone from her bed. Switching it she smiled at the wallpaper. It was of her and Bailey, jumping around in the rain earlier that year.
She quickly unlocked it and went to the phone app and found her contact, 'Bailey boo🦋'' but before she could tap on the call button her head started pounding.
She started groaning, dropping her phone onto her carpet that covered the floors she held her head.
She then opened her eyes and saw the man in the yellow suit running around her house, her mother, brother, Cory and Flores on the ground, not moving.
The man then ran up to her holding two people. Bailey and Gina, both begging him to let them go. He pushed them to their knees, tears on their faces.
"Choose!" He demanded earning a sob from Gina. "Your sister." He said as he vibrated his hand and aiming it by her back. "Or the girl you're in love with!" He yelled, doing the same to Bailey.
"No! Please don't! Kill me! Let them go!"
"No!" Bailey cried
"Please don't make me choose. I'm begging you." Gia pleaded.
"Well if you don't choose." He started. "I'll do it for you!" He shouted before vibrating his hands and shoving them into each of their chests, killing them instantly.
"No!" Gia screamed as electricity sparked off the walls.
She screamed as she opened her eyes again, letting out quick breathes and trying to shove away whoever was next to her.
"Gia! Honey it's me, its mom. It's okay I'm right here. Breathe baby, breathe." Her mom told the girl who realized who it was and didn't waste any time before wrapping her arms around her mothers waist and crying into her chest.
"It was so real. I thought you were dead." Gia explained in between the sobs.
"I'm alive and I'm right here okay and I'm never leaving you again." Saoirse assured as she made Gia look up at her, she held her face in her hands and wiped the tears away with her thumb. "Its okay honey, its okay." She cooed as she stroked Gia's hair.
Gia didn't understand what the hell had just happened to her, but she knew one thing. That what she just saw was a dream and there was only one person who had the power to make her see things like that.
Even though that horrible dream was over, she was still terrified. Why you may ask, because Gia realized who had done this to her.
In that moment she wasn't scared for herself, she was scared for the girl who she had grown closer to and had confusing feelings for.
