CHAPTER TWENTY ONE

MI'LADY SHALL WE

Cobra Kai season 4 had wrapped filming a couple days ago and since then Kea and Josh had a lot more time to hangout, most recently he went with her to the wrap party with the rest of the cast and met some of her other friends.

That was about three days ago. Now Kea was preparing for her trip to Los Angeles, she had the MTV awards in about four days and wanted to reunite with her well closest friends . She got out her suitcase and opened her wardrobe and began to choose the things she most needed for her couple weeks there.

After folding and packing them in she packed a couple shoes and her toiletries into her toiletry bag before putting that in with a few other things before zipping that up and pushing it towards her door.

She packed her back pack with her laptop, chargers, battery pack, and her go bag ( deodorant, make up, creme etc ).

Her flight was only in the evening and she had plans with Toni before that so she got her car keys, mask and purse that she hadn't packed yet, locked her apartment and walked to her car.

Antonia and Keabetswe walked through the mall with Starbucks in one hand. They made their way to a restaurant where they had reservations a few days prior.

After finding their table and ordering the two began to talk again.

"So are you excited?" Kea asked the curly haired girl.

"For?"

"Your first red carpet duh!"

"Yeah but I'm also a little nervous, these things can be terrifying." The girl responded before finishing her drink.

"Don't be, these things are really fun. Besides you can meet really great people there. That's exactly how I met Neveah Thomas, Fabiola, Yvette and—"

"Josh?" Antonia interrupted with a smirk. "Unless I'm mistaken you two met at the 2017 MTV awards and this time he's your date."

"Yeah yeah we did and yes he is. But it's not like that. We're just friends." Kea assured as her Oreo milkshake arrived, she said a quick thank you to the waitress before taking a sip.

"That's what they all say. Can you both stop being so stubborn no scratch that can you stop being so stubborn because you two are destined to be together." Antonia insisted before taking a sip of her lemonade.

"I'm not being stubborn he clearly broke up with me because he stopped loving me and after like two years together so I don't really blame him I just need time to figure out what I want."

"He clearly loves you. I could see the way you two were looking at each other that day I ran into you both. He may not be able to say it but anyone with eyes can see it." Toni assured to the younger girl. "From one TV sister to another, don't let your fear of falling for him and telling him how you feel stop you from trying. You never know why he actually broke up with you because you cut off all ties with him for months before he had a chance to even explain. You have to try."

Kea actually took her tv sisters words to heart. She didn't fully realise how scared she actually was. She usually wasn't this nervous especially when it came to a crush or someone she loved in that way but Joshua was someone very different than all her past partners.

All in good ways.

Hours later Kea had finished their catch up date with Antonia, had left her car with the curly haired girl and packed the last of her things.

She remembered Toni's loud reaction to telling her that she was going planning to sit with Josh on the plane to LA.

The two had been chatting about it for quite sometime. They were both really excited to do this together, kind of reminded them of old times together but not in an awkward way.

After getting to the airport and checking in the girl sat in the waiting lounge as she scrolled through her phone.

She had been sitting in that seat for fifteen minutes when a person came and sat in the chair behind her. She didn't look up and continued to scroll through her phone.

"Excuse me madam I'm looking for a gorgeous 5 foot 8 lady with black curly hair and the most exquisite energy I've ever encountered in my entire existence." The fake British accent cheered making the girl turn to face the curly haired boy who snuck up on her.

He couldn't see how big her smile was because she was wearing a grey mask but he could see it in her eyes and that made him smile.

"Good afternoon passengers. This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight 89B to LAX. Please proceed to gate 6." said the announcer, snapping Josh and Kea's intimate gaze.

Josh came around to her side and offered his arm.

"Mi'lady, shall we?" He said in the same accent, the curly haired girl let out a laugh before linking her arm with his.

"We shall." The girl cheered before the too walked towards the gate.

Hours into the flight the two had fallen asleep on each others shoulders. They had watched the first How To Train Your Dragon movie and had fallen asleep shortly after.

Joshua's eyes slowly opened, being greeted by a bright light and a feeling of warmth on his shoulder and in his left hand.

He was careful not to move to much but just enough to see who was sleeping on his shoulder.

A small smile formed on his mouth and his heart started to beat a little faster.

Kea wasn't one to sleep on planes. Not even on her flight to South Africa, she was far to excited to stay still. But now, all though asleep she was just as excited to see her best friends all together for the first time in months but one thing was for sure.

Joshua knew the only times she ever slept on a plane was with him. When she felt extra comfortable and safe.

If we hadn't just woken up, the curly haired boy would've she'd a tear at the realisation, she still felt comfortable around him, safe around him.

To him that was a sign that he had a chance to win back the girl of his dreams.

He just hoped he wouldn't screw up again.
