i was going to avoid talking about this because it might irritate some people but,,

this is me every single time i open twitter or instagram or any single thING-

i'm not here to be controversial. just stating my opinion,,

we all know about james gunn getting fired by disney as the director of guardians of galaxy vol 3 because of jokes he made several years ago.

while those jokes are inexcusable and disgusting things to say, does he deserve to be fired from his role?

honestly, i don't know. i don't think it's fair to bring up tweets written years ago and instantly label the person who wrote them as bad.

to me, at least, it is ridiculous that people immediately call someone problematic when one bad thing they have done comes to light.

the term 'problematic' irritates me in the first place but-

i agree, gunn's jokes were nasty and not humorous in the slightest, but to not realise that he has clearly grown as a person and no longer says those horrific things is so stupid to me.

i'm personally supportive of the cast of guardians wanting to reinstate him as director. at the end of the day, they are the people who have worked closest with him. they are the people who have spent day after day working with him, and they are the people who know who he is as a person. they wouldn't support him if they knew he was still the same man who wrote those tweets.

the sheer amount of posts i saw about this today have put me in a bad mood-

if you're going to call the guardians problematic because of this...i don't know what to say.
