i well up just THINKING about this-
he's gone this whole time thinking his dad is disappointed in him, and, god, he would never know for sure because he lost them so abruptly. his father built all of this for him to continue and fuck- i'm crying. i had such a burning hatred for howard until i saw this scene. now i just mildly hate him.

i just love tony stark so much and he deserves the entire world.
