and again...

Having an existential crisis in a haunted hotel was not something Amelie floor had expected and yet here she was, lying on the bed with her arms crossed over her stomach while staring up at the ceiling, thinking back on everything the man had said not even ten minutes ago.
Sam and Colby were taking out the equipment they would need for the actual investigation. She knew most of the stuff that was sprawled across the bed and the counter top, but some of it she was still new to.
Sam lightly kicked her ankle to get her attention, offering her a small smile after she sat up with a huff. She smiled back, leaving him to nod and get into full camera mode.
"Come on down!" He clapped, looking between Faze and Amelie, "I'm gonna give you guys a haunted ghost tour."
"A little history lesson."
"Last time we did a video with you," He pointed towards Faze, "We had recently gotten robbed and so we had nothing. So we got some new equipment today. We're going to set this whole investigation. Well, we'll start with this." He walked towards the bed and pointed at everything. "This is just a regular cat ball, if something touches it it'll light up. We've always been using this emf, which detects electromagnetic energy."
"So this is called a rempod," He explained, turing it on, "Turn it on here..."
"You have to sit on that." Colby said, making Amelie laugh, "It goes straight up your ass."
"Right into the FazeRug youtube channel." Amanda joked.
"Thank you for not including me in such profanities." Amelie smiled, looking back at the girl.
"Do you have to touch it or?" Rug asked Sam, bringing Amelie's attention back towards the equipment.
"Any sort of motion whatsoever." He replied as the two reached out to touch it. After they were done figuring it out, he turned it off and reached towards something else on the table. Amelies eyes went wide at the coffin shaped item in his hands, "Then we've got this... Which is one of my favourites."
"I don't think I like that." Amelie mumbled as she stared down at it.
"This one's fucked." Colby agreed with the girl.
"It's the worst one in the world."
"It's essentially a motion sensor as well." The blond said, backing away and placing it down on the floor, "But you turn it on and you let it calibrate to a certain area. And then..." The second he was finished, the box started doing off, making Amelie scoff in disbelief.
She shook her head and scrunched up her nose, "If that thing goes off I'm chucking it at a wall."
"Why?" Rug asked, outraged, "Why would you guys get that?"
The two stayed silent until Colby looked at the box puzzled, "Wait... Why's it going so slow, bro?"
"When it detects something that's whne it goes off right?"
"Yeah."
"Is that the surprise?" Faze asked.
Amelie nodded, "Please tell me that's the surprise."
The two men laughed at them, "No, no." Sam said as Colby said, "God no!"
Sam picked something off the bed, "This is a spirit box... and we have this, uh, method our fans love. Called the Estes method."
"My favourite also."
"Her favourite aslo, that we need you to try for us."
Amelie reached onto the bed to grab her phone. She then turned to the camera and switched it on, "You see all these?" She asked, scrolling on the seven million texts she had received from Carmen that were still unread, "That's my ride... I actually have to go." She pointed towards the door before mocking a sad expression. She took two steps to the side before walking back to stand next to Faze, "Does only one of us have to do it? Or do we both do it."
"It's up to you guys." Sam told her, "Of course we're not going to force you to do anything you don't necessarily want to do, but if you're not against it feel more than happy to."
"How does it work?" Faze asked before denying to do it.
"The way we do this it allows you to, like Amanda, become a medium and the ghost will talk through you and answer our questions."
"I'm not- No!" Amelie shouted at the same time Rug shouted, "I'm gonna become the ghost?!"
"You're channelling it!"
"You will be the communicator." Sam explained as he turned the spirit box on, "It will run through a bunch of radio frequencies really fast. It'll sound mostly like static. At a certain point a little more power will come into one word and that will be what you say out loud and that is what they would be responding to any questions."
"And this has matched us in perfect ways in the past."
"In the most impossible ways it has spoken to us."
"Are you still feeling okay though?" Colby asked Amanda, "Like there's nothing in this room?"
"Oh, there's something in this room." Amanda confirmed what they didn't want to hear, "I'm super eager to- It was in here when we walked in-" She was cut off by everyone freaking out about a creek behind them.
Faze collapsed to the floor while Amelie threw her hands up and sat on the bed in defeat, "I-" She tried to express some disbelief or fear, but she ended up having to hold in a laugh as Rug jumped on the bed before her, scared that it was under the bed.
"I can't, like, tell if it's a boy or if it's a girl. I can't tell anything about it. I can't see the spirit, I can just feel it, but I'm super eager to get into the Estes method." Amanda explained.
"You guys are asking the questions, right?" Rug asked suddenly while they were on the topic of the Estes method, "So aren't you just going to hear what I hear?"
"No, because you have noise cancelling headphones on."
"And a blindfold on."
"You're not going to be able to see or hear anything else besides a chchchch, and then as soon as you hear a word you'll say it."
"I'm gonna be blindfolded?!" He shouted.
"We're gonna show you first."
"I'm down though."
Amelie patted his arm, "Good luck."
"Let's go!" Sam cheered, "Go subscribe to Rug for this if you haven't already."
"Wait twenty mill?" Both Amanda and Amelie shouted at the same time.
"I'm trying to got thirty mill soon..."

Amanda, Faze, and Amelie were all sitting on the bed while Sam and Colby were turning on all the equipment.
Amelie had her knees pressed against her chest while her chin was tucked between her knees. She had a lopsided grin on her lips as the music box started going off. She knew it was only calibrating, but the fact it was shaped like a coffin threw her off.
A few seconds after Faze had a small freak out moment about it calibrating, Amanda started to pray before they started the investigation. The second the girl actually started to pray for protection, the K2 metre by Sam's feet started spiking, and the moment she finished... it completely stopped.
"What..."
"Did you hear that?" Amanda asked, pointing towards the bathroom, "The water just keeps dripping, it's freaking me out."
Once again, the K2 metre started going off once more, "This thing is going off, dude. That might be electrical wireless." He mumbled, kicking it.
"It looks like there's something underneath it."
Amanda started praying again, and as soon as she started the cat ball went off, freaking everyone out.
"You didn't touch that at all?!" Colby questioned Sam.
Sam shook his head frantically, "I swear on my Goddamn life, I did not touch that." He then turned to Amanda, "Why did you start praying, like, immediately? I swear I did not touch that on my life." Before he could even finish it happened again.
"It's going off again! I got that on camera."
"The one device I asked to go off... went off."
"And that's where the emf was going off too." Colby added, pointing to the cat ball, "Right there."
"Every time you start to pray something interrupts you."
"So is it bad that we're trying to pray?" Faze asked, leaving everyone to shrug. Obviously it wasn't good that stuff was happening whilst Amanda was praying, but it wasn't bad that she was praying.
"My eyes are closed. I don't know about you guys..."
Boom! Once again, the cat ball went off and this time it was extremely clear that Sam didn't touch it because he was completely still.
"Oh, my God!" Colby shouted, "Again!"
"Again... No one can debunk that. Like we're sitting here. We're not moving, we're not touching anything." And once again, the ball shun yellow, blue, and red, "When we did turn it on, we left it on the bed it not once turned on, whatsoever."
Sam grabbed the small toy from the floor and stood up, looking for a place to put it, "Maybe up here?" He placed it on the bed side locker.

"We are here today to make contact with Kate Morgan or any other spirits here at the hotel." Sam called out to all the ghosts in the hotel, "We come respectfully. We just want to talk. We want to hear your story, and kind of bring justice to your situation. So, if there's anyone out there that wants to talk to us... We have many different devices, all of which if you come close to or come into contact with we'll be aware that you want to talk to us."
It was silent. So quiet that it almost sounded too loud to Amelie. No equipment went off, everyone was scared to breathe too loudly, herself included.
"My name is Amanda. I know that you're from a different time period than we are. Our devices - our rem pod, our music box - us calling them by those names might not make sense." She then reaches across to point at the bedside locker, "We have this ball, right here, on the table, you can come right here. You also have this red light on the floor that you can go near and touch or if you step through the doorway to the bathroom. You can trigger any of our devices."
"Maybe they respond to certain people, you know?"
"They definitely love Colby." Amanda told him, watching as a huge smile made its way onto the boys face.
"They love me?"
She nodded, "They did at the queen Mary too."
"They're one of the girls." Amelie laughed, playing with the laces of her shoes.

Colby sat in one of the chairs, while Amelie stood behind him, tying a bandana around his head to cover his eyes after he had gotten it stuck in his hair too many times to the point she grabbed the headband off him and took matters into her own hands.
She quickly walked off camera and around where it was set up so as to not get in the way of Sam who was about to start the intro to the Estes method. Amelie sat down on the bed, and like an instinct tucked her knees up to her chest.
"We are about to do the Estes method and if you want us to keep going this method, all you've gotta do is fricking subscribe. Come on, guys." Sam started, giving a thumbs up for the camera, "You know you want to."
Amanda then turned towards the two other guests, grabbing their attention, "I don't need to use the spirit box because I hear them anyway. So I'm just gonna write stuff down - what I hear, that way I'm not saying anything out loud. I wrote down the exact same thing as the spirit box did last time."
"So, you guys can hear this right?" Colby asked, taking the headphones off his ears and letting them hear the loud static, "That's going to be blaring loud... in my ears."
"Is anyone here with us in this room right now?" Sam asked once Colby placed the headphones over her ears. Amanda started nodding her head instinctively, making him laugh silently. She showed Faze and Amelie the paper that clearly had 'here' written in pencil on it, "Here!" Sam read it out, "Before I even said it."
"Before you even asked either of those questions."
"Hey!" Colby chirped up, frightening Amelie, she almost forgot he couldn't hear them.
"Hey." Sam replied.
"Love me?"
"Yes, we came to respect you. We just came to talk want to have a conversation-" Sam was then cut off by Colby.
Minutes went by where there was either nothing said, or everything made sense. At first it had sounded like it was Kate Morgan, but then later on Amanda has suggested that maybe it was two people talking to each other and that seemed to make a lot more sense.
"Go!" Colby suddenly shouted after a minute of pure deafening silence.
Amelies eyes went wide as she and Rug made eye contact.
"Do you want us to go?" Sam asked, but Amanda shook her head, "I don't think it's telling us to go. I'm hearing two different people. I think that there's two different people talking."
"There might have been two people that night?"
"Call!" "Down!" "Rain!" Colby said one after the other.
"Yeah, it was raining during the night." Sam's voice boomed around the hotel room, trying to make sure every spirit could hear him, "Are you talking about the night that you died?"
"2011!" Colby's voice trembled.
"Is he, like, re-enacting the crime?" Amelie asked when Colby was talking about death and murder.
"Maybe..." Sam mumbled, "Are you talking about what happened to you the night you died? Who are you scared of? Can you let us know who you're scared of?"
"We really want to know who you died. Can you give us a sign on how you died?"
"So did you commit suicide?" Rug asked and immediately Colby said, "Bullet."
"Holy shit." Amelie mumbled, her jaw dropping.
"Did you kill yourself with a gun?" He asked.
Colby was silent for a moment, "Not... me..."
"There's someone here, but it's not Kate." Amanda spoke up, staring beside the camera, "I just saw a full body apparition-" "No, you didn't!" "In front of the - I have full chills - in front of the door. The closet door."
Sam had to end up pulling Colby out of it because he started actually freaking out after something screamed into the headphones.
A few minutes of trying to peace everything together and make sense of what had happened when Rug spoke up, "I actually don't think I can do that."
"You don't want to?"
He shook his head, "I don't think I can do that."
"You don't have to if you don't want to." Colby assured.
"I literally wanted to get up and leave." He confessed, "Like I wanted to leave halfway through, but I didn't want to ruin anything. I'm not lying - that was... scary."
Everyone then turned to Amelie who looked at them like a deer in headlights, "Um! I don't- I think i'd go into some form of psychosis if I did that."
"If you do it, like, a lot - a lot you can go... insane." Sam told her.
"Oh, cheers." She said casually before shaking her head.

Thankfully, Sam agreed to go under the Estes method so Amelie and Faze sat up a little straighter in their seats.
"I just want to see if it'll say anything if we're quiet." Colby whispered after Sam had placed on the headphones, "See, it doesn't say anything."
"Should we start?" Amanda asked.
Colby nodded, "Yeah..." But before he could think of a question Sam said, "Below."
"The people know." He continued.
"Who knows?" Colby asked.
"You."
"Were you the one who made the Rempod go off?" Colby asked and without hesitation Sam answered, "Oh, I did."
Amelie's mouth went wide with shock, as did everyone else.
"That's the chair?" He continued.
There was a knock behind them and Amelie jumped up sped to stand behind Sam, beside Faze who was currently hiding behind Colby.
Colby quickly grabbed into Amanda's hand and tapped Sam to tell him to get out.
"What was that?" Sam immediately asked, obviously feeling the tension in the room.
"Bro, there was, like, - What was that?!"
"What was that!"
"Yo, there was tapping behind the fucking chair."
"You said, "over there." and then it went..." Colby tapped on the bedside locker, imitating the knock.
"What? Actually?!" Sam asked.
Everyone nodded, "Actually." They all confirmed in unison.
"Holy shit!"
"Can you make that happen again?" Colby questioned, giving it a second before going back to explaining what had happened to Sam, "I went, "Are you the one touching the rem pod." You said, "Over there." and then da-da-da.''
"You said, "Chair." and then, "Over there"."
"Do you think the camera picked it up?"
"There's no doubt."
"I don't think I can drive home..." Rug said.
As if it only dawned on her, Amelie furrowed her brows, "I've to stay here tonight..."
"That was fucking crazy."

Amelie had sat back down, now sitting even closer beside Amanda. Sam went back under, making Colby ask more questions.
"Are you in this room with us?" He asked.
silence
"Were you the one who just made that noise over there?"
even more silence.
"That's me." Sam spoke, confirming whoever they were talking to tapped behind the chair.
"Are you Kate Morgan or do you know of her? Have you heard that name before?"
Sam sat up straighter, "Probably."
"Are you from the right or the left side?" Amanda asked.
"Can't see?"
"Are you from the right or the left side?" She asked again, this time much slower.
"Purgatory."
"What the fuck..." Amelie gasped, looking between everyone who seemed just as shocked as her.
"That's the left side," Amanda said, "I think we should stop."
"Actually stop? Right now?"
"Yes, get him up. Get him up."
Faze tapped on his shoulder lightly, spooking him a little before he pushed his headphones off, "What's up?"
"You should stop. That's the matter of good and fucking evil."
"Yeah, for the viewers, what's left or right?"
Amanda turned towards the camera, "Right is obviously the right and your left side is... not good. So I asked if you were from the right or from the left side they have to answer."

"The employee we were just talking to was also talking about a purgatory and being trapped." Colby said as Sam walked over with the camera, "It's like this is a giant portal of, like, a confusing place for spirits."
"Well, a lot of people's questions are not only how did she die, but also why is the spirit staying here? Maybe it's because it's purgatory. People repeat in time, people stay in the same mindset over and over and over again."
"That's is fucking horrible."
"But it makes sense, though."
Faze nodded, "It makes a lot of sense now and that's so scary."
"What if Kate Morgan now- What if she just came here, and stayed here and she was gonna try and meet up with Thomas to make amends with him, but instead went crazy because of the evilness and the purgatory." Colby said.
Amelie put her hand to her heart, "That's so sad."
"Or when she got killed she got sent into purgatory, she still haunts here?" Sam suggested, "I don't know."
"But the weird part is they said we know already, like the answer."

"I agreed to do this because... Okay, maybe I was slightly intoxicated." Amelie joked, "But really because the whole paranormal world is so interesting and the fact we'll never really have enough knowledge or proof of it being real, we can only have small things like this that could be debunked - I know this was real - but taking in an outsider's perspective. I thought it was gonna be cool and dandy, but, like, it wasn't by any means. I enjoyed this so much and I'm going to tell all my kids and their kids and so on and so forth, but, Oh, my God." She was quiet for a moment before saying, "This kinda changed my perspective on it... The employee using science to back it up? Crazy."
"We're glad you enjoyed it."
"Yeah, you better, I'm never doing it again...I'm kidding." She then looked at the camera in front of her face and mouthed, I'm so not kidding

Amelie stared down at the letter in Sam's hands after they had stepped outside and walked onto the cold beach. She had her arms crossed and a permanent frown. The thought of having to go back into the hotel alone terrified her.
"We're in a full circle moment." Colby said, "This is exactly where we did the intro."
"So again, there's a lot of different theories on where she actually died. The employee that was talking to us earlier said that just around this area was the original stairs where he believes she died." Sam told the camera.
"All right, hopefully this can set Kate free." Colby said, referring to the letter that was about to get burned.
"If not, hopefully it will set us free from any attachments from over there. We don't want to bring anything home with us."
"Hotel Del Coronado, it's hell week, go you guys for coming out for a crazy investigation." Sam started to set the letter on fire over the bin, "Kate Morgan, hopefully you can rest in peace on day."
"Hopefully you're not trapped here forever."
thanks fuck that's over x
