(y/n) sat on Rue's porch waiting for her to get home. She was out somewhere and she wasn't answering her phone which worried (y/n). For all she knew, Rue could be lying dead somewhere and she would have no clue, but thankfully she saw Rue walking along the sidewalk up her driveway. She could tell by the way the tall girl was swaying while she walked that she was high off whatever.

"(y/n)?" Rue questioned. She squinted her eyes at the girl. "What are you doing here?"

"You weren't answering your phone and I got worried so I came here to see if you were okay." (y/n) explained.

"God." Rue mumbled to herself. She rubbed her temples and dropped her hands back to her sides. "I'm fine. You didn't have to come here. You're acting like fucking Lexi." She groaned. (y/n) rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, Sorry, I just wanted to make sure you hadn't overdosed again." (y/n) said scolding the her friend.

"(y/n). I'm fine. You can go home now." Rue said walking past her to go into her house.

"No, maybe I am acting like Lexi, but I need to be because if I just sit back and watch you do this and then you die, I'm gonna fucking hate myself." (y/n) said. Rue looked at her. Her face showed no emotion, but her heart hurt on the inside. She hated herself for making the people she cared for feel this way.

"I'm trying, (y/n). You don't understand how fucking hard it is though. You don't know how I feel or what's going on in my head. I want to stop, but I can't." Rue said. The two stood across from each other in silence.

"I know I don't know what your going through, but I love you so much, Rue. I can't watch you kill yourself." (y/n) said.

"I love you too, (y/n)." Rue said before opening the door to her house.

"I'm not gonna stop worrying about you." Rue heard (y/n) say. She sent her a small smile before closing the door behind her.

This was very angsty. I liked it lol.
