Hartford was the bane of Blair Gilmore's existence, she hated it. She much preferred Stars Hollow but ever since she was a few months old, her grandparents took the girl in. Lorelai and her parents agreed that Blair would see her and Rory every weekend and the girl would stay with Emily and Richard throughout the week.

That arrangement lasted fifteen years. It changed when the twins got into Chilton with the money from Emily and Richard. Blair decided to move back in with her mom and twin sister but would see her grandparents every Friday night for dinner.

The move from Stars Hollow High to Chilton wouldn't be smooth sailing, she felt lonely since the only person she knew would be her sister and at least at Stars Hollow High she had Nate and Venus.
