Finn shook Rory and Freya awake. "If you want to skip school again the we need to leave soon," he told her in an attempt to wake her. Rory jumped up and felt her clothes hit her in the face while she sat there trying to figure out what was going on. "Get ready and be quick about it."
By the time she was ready and downstairs Polly and Freya were sat at the table, Freya eating some cereal while Pol reading the paper looking up when she heard Rory's footsteps, "If you're skipping, leave now. You two look after her." Just as the three were leaving Ada trudged down the stairs waving at them before going into the kitchen.
"Hang on," Polly called, stopping the three before Finn opened the door.
"Yes?" they asked, walking back to pop their heads through the door.
"Where are you going?" she asked, looking over the paper she was reading.
"We're going to see Isiah," Finn told his aunt, watching Rory walk over to get some of the bread that Ada had just cut and passed her with some jam on.
Polly looked at Finn then to Rory with her eyebrow raised, "Rory, our Rory who hates people especially Isiah, is going to see Isiah with you?"
"Yes?" Finn nodded, slowly.
"Go on then, I want you to drop Rory off at the shop when you get back, no later than three!" Polly shouted after the three of them who were already out of the door.
"Okay!" Finn shouted back as Rory closed the door.
"She kept bloody waking me up," Rory complained to Finn as he closed the door.
Finn rolled his eyes at her complaints, "Do you ever stop complaining?"
"No," she shook her head and waved at Louise who was just about to walk past them.
"Do you three need tutoring later?" Louise asked, coming to a halt in front of them.
"Yeah," Rory nodded with a small smile while Finn shook his head.
"Depends on what Tommy has us doing today," he told her for both himself and Freya.
"Well, I'll see you at Rory's if you do," she smiled at him before crossing the road to get to Rory's house.
They ended up at the cut where Isiah was already stood waiting for Finn. "What are you doing here?" he asked Rory, turning his nose up at the idea of Rory being there.
"I said she could come," Finn told him.
"Stay away from me, you're annoying and you talk too much," Isiah grumbled.
"Says the boy that goes out of his way to annoy me," she retorted, glaring at him.
"You've already spoken too much, stop talking," he bumped her shoulder to get to Finn.
"Finn, I'm going to hurt him," she warned the two.
"Can you both just stop?" Freya asked as Isaiah began annoying the girl once again.
"You don't have to be here, you could be in school," he muttered.
"So could you," she replied, sitting down, rolling her eyes as he sat next to her. "You also don't have to sit so close to me but you do. So you're the one going out of his way to annoy me."
"You being here is annoying enough," he grumbled.
"I can say the same about you," she argued.
"Can you both just stop talking!" Finn shouted, stopping their bickering.
Rory and Isiah bickering was a regular occurrence, Isiah thought Rory was annoying whereas Rory thought Isiah was mean so they bickered. A lot. Sometimes the bickering would end in Isaiah being punched or Rory being held back by Finn.
While Rory was walking over to Finn, Isiah stuck his foot out to trip her earning a shove from the girl which sent him backwards. He then held his hand out pulling her down with him, Rory glaring at him.
"What was that for?" she asked, struggling to get out of his grip.
"You pushed me," he told her.
"You tripped me," she argued, slumping backwards in defeat.
"You annoyed me," he argued, releasing his grip on her wrists slightly which he then found out was a big mistake as she moved and flipped them over.
"You annoy me every time you see me stop annoying me and I'll let you go," she compromised.
"I enjoy annoying you though, it's fun," he smirked.
"This is fun because I'm winning," she smirked back.
"Rory, leave him alone," Finn sighed when he saw the two of them.
She sighed, pointing in Isiah's chest, "Stop annoying me." She got off him when he pushed her over again.
"Isiah," Finn sighed.
"What?" he asked, dusting off the back of his pants and offering her his hand.
"Are you actually going to help me up or push me back down again?" she questioned skeptically.
He rolled his eyes, "I'm actually going to help you." The girl looked between him and his hand before grabbing it and him actually helping her up.
On their way back to the betting shop Isiah continued to annoy Rory but instead of giving him the satisfaction of reacting she gave him the silent treatment.

"Dad?" Rory called walking into the betting shop, having had enough of Isiah for the week let alone day, to see him talking to Scudboat, "One sec," he replied looking up at his daughter. She stood there rocking on the balls of feet waiting patiently until Scud and John were finished with their conversation.
"Where have you been?" John asked and Scud smiled at the girl.
Rory shrugged, "The cut with Finn, Freya and Isaiah, anyways can I have a horse?"
"No," he replied. "Is Isiah still alive?"
"Unfortunately but why can't I have a horse?" she asked.
John looked at the blonde, "What do you mean unfortunately?"
"He's mean and annoying and said I was annoying and spoke to much then kept pushing me," she shrugged. "Now why can't I have a horse?"
"Because you won't look after it," John replied making his way over to the chalkboard with Rory following.
Rory scoffed, "Yes I will. I look after Tommy's horses all the time."
"I'll think about it," he sighed pointing to Polly the girl following his eye line watching the woman wave her over.

While her dad and uncles were at the Garrison, Rory was sat with Ada down at the cut once again since Ada wanted to get out of the house but didn't want to go alone.
"Guess what," Ada turned to the girl with a small smile.
"Dad agreed to get me a horse?" she asked watching her aunt's head shake.
"No," Ada shook her dead. "I'm going to have a baby."
"I'm going to have a cousin?" Rory asked excitedly.
"Yeah," Ada smiled at wrapped her arm around Rory's shoulder and pulled her into her side kissing her head. "Anything good happen at the cut earlier?" Ada asked and Rory shook her head.
"If by good you mean Isiah getting on my nerves again then yeah."
"Did you punch him again?"
"No but I did push him over," Rory told her. "He's so annoying and mean. Why are boys so weird?"
"He probably likes you, boys act weird around you if they like you. Freddie used to act weird around me and your dad used to act really weird around your mum," Ada shrugged.
"He's always weird," Rory pointed out. "How was he weird around her?" she asked now interested in any story about her mum.
"Well, he used to stutter around her and everyone knows your dad doesn't stutter. He used to blush and he once ignored her for a week because he completely forgot to speak like a normal person. I remember your mum crying to me thinking he didn't like her anymore," Ada listed off, laughing at the memory.
"He did like her thought didn't he?" she asked, looking up at her.
"He loved her, very much. Sometimes I think he still does. We all see her in you," Ada smiled, pushing some hair behind Rory's ear.
"Do you think she'll ever come back?"
Rory asked.
"I don't know," Ada shrugged. "I hope she does but if she does things would be different."
