Roof is what you might call the black sheep of the family, the odd one out. He was born into a wealthy family all of high castes and pretentious upbringings. And he popped out as his goofy muff soup and the whole clan had a field day. Many suggested that he be put up for adoption because he was no use to them. The only reason that didn't happen was because his older brother, 6 at the time, begged to keep him so he would have a little brother to play with.
Growing up, Roofus only felt happy with his brother and didn't feel love for any other member of his family.
With such a dark past, you would think he would turn out some kind of brooding bitter soul. He's actually quite wacky and cheerful, the life of the party even. Though his outlook on light bis quite cynical, it doesn't seem that way on the surface.
