Running felt like freedom. It had Harley's hair blowing behind her, kept her heart racing, and made sure she knew she was alive. She ran fast, following the others, but the grounders were following them closely. Her lungs begged for air while her leg muscles ached, but she didn't stop. Harley was terrified; her hand clutching her weapon and making her knuckles white.

However, Bellamy wasn't as scared as Harley was. She heard Roma and Diggs protesting that they can't keep going, and he came to a halt, panting. "I'm sick of running anyways," he stated, bravely, and puffing his chest out to seem tougher. "They know where she is."

Before anyone could argue, a grounder came up from behind, chasing Roma and Diggs off. Harley stumbled back, nearly ramming into Jasper to get away from the grounder that ran after the two. "Roma, wait!" Harley called out desperately, fighting for breath, as watching her run off. Finn was the first to take off after the pair, making Harley follow in their direction, not caring how tired she was.

"Wait, could be more!" Jasper protested as they followed. "Stop - "

Coming to a pit stop, Harley froze in horror when seeing how Diggs ended up. He was leaning against a flat board that had spikes sticking out of it, digging into his chest. She gasped, her eyes widening as Jasper came to the realization. "They were leading us here," he stated. "It's the only direction we could run in."

Harley knew he was right. The grounders could kill them at any moment, there were traps all over in this spot of the woods. She forced herself to take her eyes off Diggs's body and took a glance around, afraid, but didn't see any grounders near them. "Where'd they go?" Harley asked, her voice quivering with fear.

Bellamy looked off in the way Roma had went. "After Roma."

"W-We have to help her," Harley stammered out, attempting to seem the least bit brave. The others agreed with her, and started running again. She sighed to herself, sparing a second to catch her breath, before taking off with them. She liked Roma, they were friends, and she didn't want to see her dead. She wanted to help her, bring her back to camp safely. Harley wanted to be safe. But she wouldn't be. No matter what she believed, there was no safe place on Earth.

Peering into the distance, Harley could see a figure leaning against the tree. She stopped, putting one hand on Bellamy's chest to stop him and using her free one to point forward, making him look at what she saw. "There she is!" She exclaimed, relieved.

"Sh!" Bellamy hushed her, glancing around to be sure no grounders heard Harley's outburst towards Roma. He quietly called her name out, but she didn't answer.

Confused, Harley stalked forward cautiously. "Roma?" She spoke softly, hoping she would answer, but a sick feeling turning into a pit of her chest. Once she was close enough, she saw what really happened. Roma was pinned against the tree, blood dribbling down her chin, and a long spear sticking out of her chest. "Roma!" Harley cried, tears welling up in her eyes.

Bellamy lifted his hand up, closing Roma's eyes shut before setting his other hand on Harley's lower back and circling the fragile girl away from the body. "She only came because of me," he said, softly with his voice drowning in guilt. "It's my fault. Not yours."

Shaking her head, Harley pressed her lips together tightly. It was nobody's fault, not hers of Bellamy's. Before she could tell him different, Finn caught on to the grounder's game. "They're playing with us," he uttered. "They can kill us whenever they want."

Whirling around, Jasper suddenly lost his mind. "Then they should get it over with!" He screamed, his voice echoing through the words and making Harley jump. She tried to hush him as Finn rushed forward to him. "Come on! We know you're out there!" Jasper urged them, shouting, fighting against Finn's grip. "You want to kill us!"

Suddenly, a grounder just a meter away appeared out of the bushes. "Bellamy!" She exclaimed, pointing forward. That one wasn't the only one. Two more appeared from different directions before another, all holding weapons that could kill them in seconds. She thought she would have to fight, where she knew she wouldn't have made it, a sudden sound in the distance caught the group's attention.

It was a horn. Harley remembered when they took care of Jasper, and the delinquents piled inside the dropship when a burning fog came after hearing the same sound. Jasper was the only one lost, looking at the others with a bewildered expression. Harley, however, noticed that the grounders surrounding them were taking off at the sound, smart enough to know what it meant and they weren't the only ones in danger. "That horn, what does it mean?" He asked.

"Acid fog," Finn whispered, pulling some type of cover out of his pack quickly.

"We should run," Harley stated, even though she was tired.

"There's no time," Finn argued, pulling the cover out the rest of the way and flapping it open.

After an uncomfortable squishing underneath the cover, Harley was sandwiched in between Bellamy and Finn, her body smaller when stuck in the middle of the two burly boys. She was growing uncomfortably hot with the cloth on top of her and her body pressed against the ground, both grass and dirt digging into her skin and clothing. "I'm uncomfortable," Harley finally whispered after a few minutes passed by that made it long enough to seem like an hour.

"How long are we supposed to wait?" Jasper asked, turning his head to the others. "Will this even work?"

"We'll find out," Finn responded.

Having enough, Bellamy made his decision. "No, we won't." He picked his hand up, pulling the cover over his head. Harley's breath hitched as the fresh air hit them, but realized there was no fog ready to burn them. "There's no fog," he muttered, ripping the cover off the rest of them and rising to his feet.

Harley brushed the cover off her shoulder, slowly rising to her feet. "Maybe it was a false alarm?" Finn suggested. All of a sudden, a figure raced by them, just about a blur in the far trees. However, this was didn't notice the others, and if he did, he ignored them.

"I think he's alone," Jasper noted, quiet.

"He doesn't see us," Bellamy added, pulling a sharp weapon out. "I'm going after him. Catch him, make him tell me where Octavia is, and then kill him." He bravely stomped forward, following the stranger.

Leaning towards Finn, Jasper whispered in question; "How do we know he's not leading us into another trap?"

"We don't," Finn responded honestly, before stepping after Bellamy.

"Let's at least wish this is a nice grounder," Harley mumbled hopefully, but knowing he could possibly know where Octavia was, she trailed after them.

Wherever the grounder was going, it was a long way into the woods, but closer to the dropship than Harley thought. Eventually, hours later when it was night, they were lead to a cave. Bellamy put his hand up, signalling for them to wait as the grounder went inside. After waiting a minute, he motioned for them to follow his lead inside. Harley hesitated, being at the end of the trail, but grasping the handle of her weapon.

The dark light inside of the cave illuminated Harley's face and vision as she quietly stepped inside, her hand brushing against the wall. She heard Bellamy gasping a familiar name and her heart skipped a beat when she realized they found Octavia.

Once Harley was finally inside, she breathed a sigh of relief and a small smile etched itself on her face. Bellamy ordered for Monroe to watch the cave's entrance, and Octavia looked wounded while hugging Bellamy, but for the most part seemed okay. There was a grounder laying on his chest, the same one they've been following, but seemed to be passed out. She let him go after a minute, turning around to see the others and smiled. "How did you guys find me?" She asked, limping forward and throwing her arms around Jasper first.

"Followed him," Bellamy answered, motioning to the unconscious grounder at their feet. Octavia nodded, releasing Jasper and moving onto Harley.

She smiled wider when Octavia embraced her, hanging her arms over Harley's shoulders tightly and making Harley wrap her own around the other, squeezing her chest close. "I'm so glad you're okay," she exhaled, grateful, despite the losses they had today to find her.

Octavia smiled back, releasing Harley, but letting her hands linger on the girl's shoulders for a moment before turning back to Bellamy. "We should go, now," she suggested. "Before he wakes up." She nodded to the grounder.

"He's not gonna wake up," Bellamy decided, crossing over the cave and grabbing a long, wooden pole shaped weapon.

"Bellamy, stop," Octavia pleaded. "He didn't hurt me, let's just go!"

Thinking of Diggs and Roma, Harley could see Bellamy wanted revenge for their deaths. "They started this," he stated. He looked down to where Finn was kneeling in front of the grounder, studying an object that hung from his clothing. "Finn, move."

Rotating the object over, Harley got a peek as to what it was. "Foghorn," Finn whispered to himself. All of a sudden, the grounder came to life. All Harley could see was the glimmer of silver before it was piercing Finn's chest, and he was falling to the ground.

"Finn!" Harley shouted as Bellamy went to attack the grounder. She dropped to her knees in front of him, reaching her hand out and letting him grasp it tightly. Octavia fell beside her, pressing her hands over the bleeding wound. She could hear Bellamy fighting the grounder, and losing as Octavia shouted for the grounder to stop. "You're going to be fine," Harley whispered to Finn, glancing up just in time to see Jasper knock the grounder out.

"Yeah," Harley said softly to herself, trying to sound convincing. Right now, she couldn't bare to see another friend die. "You're going to be okay."
