you grabbed your coat, knowing it would be cold at the museum, and walked out of your apartment with bucky.

he slid his warm hand into yours and gave you a flashy smile before dragging you to the parking garage where he kept his motorcycle.

bucky plopped the helmet he'd bought specifically for you onto your head as you glared at him.

"safety first," he said sternly. you rolled your eyes, "you don't wear one." bucky gave you a look for your wise ass comment, "i'm a super soldier."

you couldn't really argue with that one so you just buckled the helmet and climbed on the back of the bike. bucky looked back to make sure you were settled before he took off.

the museum was kind of small, but not in a bad way. it was peaceful and didn't stress bucky out too much. when bucky asked you which section you wanted to go to first, you practically begged to see the dinosaurs.

he laughed and wrapped his arm around your waist as the two of you walked towards the dinosaur exhibit. you pointed to a display with a mischievous grin, "hey, it's you!" bucky turned around to see what you were talking about before arching his brow, "whatd'ya mean?"

"well, because you're as old as a dinosaur," you said before laughing at your own joke. bucky pretended to frown but couldn't hold back his smile, "mhm."

he tickled your side and you squeaked as you flinched away from him.

next was the art exhibit. that was the one bucky wanted to see, "steve would love this place." you nodded, "we'll have to invite him and nat next time." beautiful art throughout the centuries was plastered across the walls. you spent five minutes staring at each one. it was almost entrancing.

the two of you went throughout the whole museum. you'd seen the historical facts display and the fashion exhibit. by the time you were finished bucky, being the old man he is, was exhausted, "we should grab a coffee on our way home." not that you disagreed.

bucky took you to your favorite coffee shop on 101st street. you ordered your signature drink and smiled to yourself. you were grateful to have someone like bucky in your life. not everyone did.

you turned to kiss him on the cheek. "what was that for?" he asked with a love sick grin.

"i'll tell you when you're older," you said with a wink.
