You used your forearms to block the black-haired boy's tremendous punch, but you continued to maintain your arm position. Your shoes digging into the sand on the playground. Normally a punch given by the 1st division captain the boy himself Baji Keisuke would at least knock you out cold, he was fast and agile but he was stubborn and his fury got the best of him which isn't a wise choice. Whether you were a woman or a man, he made no boundaries when his powerful strikes were delivered mercilessly to anybody or anything that irked him.

Baji saw that you barely moved and growled underneath his breath, a tick mark appeared on his features once seeing you look up at him from your arms made into a cross, you were looking down at him. His jaw tightened, adding extra force to the punch in its place You smirked and decided to simply move out the way, all that force forcing him to fall forward but he knew you well. Right as you were about to kick his confident ass he grabbed your ankle. Although you maintained your deadpan attitude, the widening of your eyes in disbelief caused him to turn and sneer at you, canine teeth revealing itself.

His eyes held something to, Although at the moment he was mocking you deep inside him he had to fight an entirely different and unknown feeling each time he laid eyes on your eternal presence. And each passing time it got worse he didn't know what the hell was going on with them all he knew these feelings would emerge everytime you would appear.

By grabbing your ankle Baji got right back up he was going to say something to mock her but there was no time just like himself she was quick and he had to win this. Your brows quickly furrowed into an unpleasant look. The boy suddenly pulled you to which you almost fell but thankfully you gained your balance. He glared once realizing you didn't fall as he grabbed your whole leg with both hands wrapped around them. Baji was fast but you were faster. You folded your leg forcing the side of his head to come in contact with your knee, you took this chance to jump using your captive leg to carry your remaining weight. He saw this and lifted you up by your leg.

'Perfect' They both thought.

As Baji was about to drop you on your ass but feeling your free leg wrapped around he held your leg tighter as he felt you suddenly go backwards he tried his best to stand still but couldn't feel half of your weight on his shoulders it forced him to fall back with you. The both of you didn't even get to braced for impact on the ground as both fell with a 'thud' The puffs and sprinkles of sand flying away from the two that hit the ground the soft sand making the impact not so harsh on your young bodies.

"Point for (y/n)!" A voice said before you two could even move.

"Eh?!" Baji stood up in shock.

"You know the rules if you fall on your butt game over" A blonde haired blue eyed boy who had his chin on his hand elbow propped on his knee while he sat on the back of a random teen that was knocked out unconscious. Their were 4 other guys knocked out around him with half of them stripped which you did not join because it disgusted you, not stripping them but the idea of a guy not wearing clothes is what made you feel repulsive you 3 just finished eating for about the 50th time this week at Baji's favorite ramen shop which you didn't mind because it was were you first meet after all. You didn't expect Baji to like it since he quotes on quotes:

'Only like the yakisoba his moms buy at the supermarket' But ever since you've introduced him to the shop you 3 go to it at least every few weeks. Anyways these 3 guys just decided to provoke you 3 as you walked around on a full stomach which was a bad idea because you 3 were now full of energy and thus a fight broke out with you 3, of course being victorious they got bored after that and immediately started brawling one another since that wasn't enough.

Chifiyu nodded at the table he drew, nodding in satisfaction at his artistic skills. There was a table on the sand on the left had (y/n) underneath it 3 and on the right said Baji 1. Beside their names had little cute drawings that indicated the pair along with drawings of cats here and there.

"What the score chi chi" You asked the blonde who consciously smiled at the cute nickname you gave him when you were younger, he was happy despite years of knowing one another you would still call him that especially when knowing how serious you were.

"5 wins for you 2 for Baji" The both of you were already standing up. You just nodded your arms crossed but you gazed at baji who clearly didn't like how you stared mockingly at him.

"What!!" He stomped his way over to the blonde eventually stomping his beautiful table and mini peke j drawings. Chifiyu gasped "Wh–" But before he could say anything he was grabbed by the collar by his dear subordinate. "It's obviously 4 to 2"

'And that's supposed to make it better' You and Chifuyu thought.

Chifiyu frowned. "Baji rules are rules you fell on yo–"

"It did to!" He yelled pointing at you.

You squinted pointing to yourself. "It"

"We both fell—"

"Actually I made you fall therefore I win" You looked at your nails before your eyes locked onto his. "Now now don't be upset I hurt your pride with these wins for the past month—"

"Thats it were going again!" Baji growled, letting go of Chifiyu who sighed at the two he rejusted his clothes looking at baji biting the black hair tie wrapped around his wrist pulling it until it made it to his hand where he tied up his luscious black locks revealing the back of his neck which had veins and pools of sweat rolling down from his head. Chifiyu tilted his head feeling a sense of dejavu the scene reminded him of when he and Baji had first met.

'Looks I was the one that changed more' He looked down at his 'Artistic painting' where it was painted by Baji's big feet.

"Chi why won't you join us maybe you can beat me who knows–"

Baji threw a punch interrupting you. "Watch me feisty!" You dodged it though.

'So cool'. He couldn't help but stare at you in admiration, how graceful and beautifully your movements were when you fought, it appeared as though you were dancing rather than trying to beat Bajis ass. So hot!.He shifted his head to the side, closing his eyes, his pale cheeks softly flushing.

"I don't hit girls"

He didn't care if she was holding a knife or anything he wouldn't dare to hit a woman yea he would probably take the knife away from her but he wouldn't, it was just how he was raised especially you not because of his little crush on you and mere admiration but you just didn't see a reason why even if its training he refuses to fight you he understands it's training but he couldn't wrap his head around how baji goes ruthlessly on you like that.

"Pussy" Baji called, turning his head around. Chifiyu winced and flicked open one eye to look at the two who were still fighting among themselves. "I don't think you're aware of it but it's called chivalry." He emphasized

You snorted. "He doesn't even know what that words means"

"Over here I think it's a gang fight!" The 3 of you turned to see a pedestrian with 2 cops behind him pointing right at you 3

You were the first one to bolt "Shit!" Baji and Chifiyu immediately followed your lead.

"Stop right there!!" One of the officers suddenly yelled at the 2 starting a chase.

"I'll find and kill you bastard!" Baji turned walking backwards to pull out the middle finger to the pedestrian who flinched. "Catch us while you can!" Chifiyu laughed, only turning his head to mock the agitated cops and scared shitless pedestrian. Out of the gates of the park the 3 got on their bikes and drove away somewhere safe.

"Fucking prick right as I was going to win" Baji scoffed stuffing his mouth with some chocolate mint icecream leaning against his shiny motorbike. "Mh you tried your best" Chifiyu , who held a strawberry cone while crossing his legs on his. Baji's fierce eyes glared at Chifiyu, normall he would praise the fuck of of him but ever since you came along to their grip all that praise has gotten towards you and he wasn't going to lie when he said it irritated him"I agree I was already winning anyways if you beated me wouldnt have changed that I was going to win" You nodded with some boba in hand from coming out of the store the 3 of you parked your motos at and no one dared to say that you couldn't knowing your reputations.

"Let's see who's going to pay for your yakisoba and treats!"

"We pay for them anyway!" Both you and Chifuyu exclaimed. Baji grumbled, staying silent.

You took another big gulp of your drink before sitting yourself on the end of your black 2004 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6RR.

Wondering why it got so silent, you turned to see Baji staring at you weirdly. It wasn't anything menacingly or anything he was just— what looked like to be inspecting you. Why was he squinting at you like that? He placed his ice cream on the cushion of his bike going near you when suddenly grabbed your arm your brows furrowed wondering why was he acting like this so suddenly. It wasn't until you noticed that his eyes were fixed on a specific area of your neck, you yanked his arm away while turning to the other side where the road was adjusting your turtleneck so that it would cover the injury properly. You didn't look at him. Shit you completely forgot about this morning's events, how reckless of you to forget something like especially in front of these two "What was that?" He asks getting a glance of what looked like a red mark. You never lost a fight barely let anyone place a hand of you that's how much of a fucking badass you were but their was one person that does and you couldn't do anything about it, which he's had a grudge since kid you were kids. Now that he realizes it you seemed more pissed than usual this morning too did it have to do something with your captain.

You disregarded him. "None of your business Kei" You need to go before they start asking questions that you did not want to discuss at the moment. "I–" You felt your arm being seized again, this time a little more firmly. You were then roughly turned back, before you could say anything you felt the front of your turtleneck being dragged down considerably low.

Baji's eyes widened his face turning pale once hearing a ripping sound he then slowly looked at his hand grabbing the remaining of the turtleneck to which he gulped at. He had ripped it.

"B-baji!" Chifiyu's eyes widened getting off of his bike and approached the male he was just about to strike him across the head when he noticed your exposed chest. "Ah!" In shame, he turned and shut his eyes.

The unexpected exposure startled you that your hand quickly turned to a fist and you punched the boy in the neck immediately shielding your chest. "You perv!!" You hissed watching him fall onto the road holding his neck and coughing violently. "T-theis nothing there anyway" He said in between coughs. Your eye twitched, face turning more redder but in fury but before you could kick him you heard Chifiyu say something.

"H-here just go while you can" he was clutching a cream-colored sweater, he refused to look at you while a blush covered his pretty face.

"Were friends ok if no matter what we'll be there for you you can use us I don't care just– know we will always be there for you" Chifiyu placed his sweater around you.

You said a small thanks before grabbing the sweater and putting it around you, starting the bike you turned beside you to see Chifiyu holding Baji up. You bit the inside of your cheek before turning to the front, you felt guilty for hiding this though this wasn't any of their business you were always alone as a result always doing things for yourself why was this any different. Because they were the first ones to approach and to stay?

"First that scar and now this" Baji looked up, eyes glaring at you. You didn't look at him back, instead you just gripped on the handles of your bike hard.

"I'm fine...this has been happening for years nothing new" With that you drove off engine roaring leaving a trail of smoke and you alone in your thoughts.

You were what people called Cold, stoic, selfish, indifferent, weird, emotionally available, unsympathetic etc, whatever and to be honest you didn't care, fuck what people thought about you, fuck them for putting labels on humans who've been through shit and because of that dont properly know how to control nor let them out.

Though something deep deep inside you longed for someone you just didn't want to admit it especially after being alone for so long. You weren't really good at making friends with a persona such as yours along with you being Alastors protector it gave people another reason to get the hell away from you, their were brave ones and you tried to talk and be friends with them but you just came off as awkward or scary and it really wasn't like you meant to you didn't know how to socialize properly so you would blame the people who raised you, raised you to becoming this emotionless killing machine whose only thing in mind is shedding blood and protecting those around you which you didn't have much of because of Alastor because of you. Though was it really his fault? Or you did you just want an excuse to push people away because in reality you crave validation so much to the point it's starting to eat you alive. Due to your past, you're stuck in the mindset of thinking that you don't deserve to be loved or treated with care. Whenever someone gets close to you, it triggers this 'fight or flight' mode where you suddenly have the urge to push those people away in fear of hurting them or that they will hurt you. This behavior came from when you were raised by Alastor.

'You craved your leaders stupid validation to the point where you would act like him' Those were words Baji said to you one day. 'Shut up!' You gritted your teeth. He was right and baji doesn't really read the room on these topics or well you thought so but he surprised you completely when he said that many months ago and you were pissed because he was right.

'Already a year huh...' Those two, Despite how many times you've pushed them away they always came to you, they became your friends willingly and decided to because they wanted to.

You raised your hand dragging your finger to the old scar that passed through your eye and ended right next to your nose.

Of course they knew where else you would go.

"If I win, you will buy us food this whole week!" Pressing the gas, baji's bike flew up before speeding up his black locks flying in the wind his annoying laugh was heard as he zoomed past you. "Well that isn't fair come on (y/n) let's make his broke ass buy us some" Chifiyu gave you a grin before accelerating past you.

You personally didn't like allies or friends or whatever they're called. They made you always stay vigilant because you never know when they can betray or stab you in the back. Plus thanks to your harsh personality and already rumors of your gruesome way many people didn't even want to approach you. It was difficult when somebody would already be pissing their pants when you accidentally locked eyes with them. Until those two goofballs came into your life.

Baji Keisuke and Chifiyu Matsuno

They know you better than I knew yourself— they allow you to be yourself in a way you never thought you could act, showing a side of you've keep hidden for such a long time, something you lost when you were a child.

They stayed by your side when you went through so many changes through your life, they treated you as if you were human. Like (y/n) instead of Athena. You know no matter what happens, they will always look after you. And you will do the same for them for as long as you lived.

You shifted letting loose on the clutch as you sped off. "In my dreams I'll let you win!" You yelled at the two who couldn't help but to turn back and grin at you. Your heart did something and it shook you at the sudden warm feeling. Whatever it was, it felt surprisingly nice.

Yea you could get used to this.

"Oi" Baji said as the both of you walked down the hallway on the 5th floor after dropping Chifuyu off on the second floor. You and Baji were on the same floor but his door was just on the corner of the elevator, yours was about 5 doors down the hall, thus you guys would always be walking to and from school together.

He stopped once realizing he was at his door. You stopped and turned to him whose face was turned the other way laying on the wall next to his door his hands in his pockets. "You can stay the night if you want so you won't have to run in that bastard" If baji had a way to kill Alastor he would in a heartbeat. He never understood why you decided to stay with him, ok he knew that weirdo had a close connection with your dead brother and Alastor decided to basically adopt you because of that still. Were you trying to get closure from your brother you never knew or what? He clenched his jaw. He just didn't get it.

'You know I can't...' You shook his head. "I'm fine" You didn't want to get him involved especially knowing how much Alastor hated the gang he was in, if he found out you were friends with one of Toman's Division captain and vice captain who knows what he'd do to them, you would actually kill him if he laid a hand on these two. Baji and Chifiyu knew that to still they hung out with you no matter what, another thing you were grateful for.

Baji just nodded, not wanting to force you. "Mh well come over one day my mom keeps asking for you and it's getting really annoying" He sighed.

You nodded, turning around. "Tell your hot mom I said hi and I'll come by somewhere this week see you at school kei" He rolled his eyes about to head inside until he heard you call his name so he turned seeing you stop your back still facing him. "Thanks for today...I had a good time as always" Baji blinked. You never say thank you and with such a tone. Were you perhaps embarrassed? He wanted to turn you and check for your flustered face but you were already walking away further way.

Baji stood there until you made it inside your room safely. He then looked around checking if anyone was in the hallway before slamming his head against the door thinking about how cute your pretty embarrassed face would have looked if he turned you around, he could care less about another persons boundary but this wasn't just anyone it was you If young Keisuke would look at himself now having these feelings for a girl he wanted to beat the shit out of he would probably laugh and stare in absolute disbelief. Thinking about your face all blushy and stuff was a foreign thought still it made his heart speed up, something he's noticed every time he's near you he hasn't gotten used to it at all,
