"Oikawa, we need information" Daichi said as he walked into the house. His clothes were a bit wet from sitting on that rock for so long.

"What information?" Oikawa turned to him, he was stuffing pieces of fruits into his mouth like a hamster.

"We really need to knoq the history of this island, the tribesmen and how the hell did mermen appear here? I know it's not exactly our business, but I think we should know" Daichi explained. Knowing what happened before would help them avoid mistakes and maybe get the mermen on their side.

"That's true, but how do we get information, we can't just call them out somehow, can we?" Bokuto asked as he stood up from the couch.

"Actually.. I can.. But I'll go alone. You two do not interfere" Oikawa said amd quickly went upstairs. He rummaged through his drawer till he found the little blue seashell that Iwaizumi had given him.

Upon finding it Oikawa went downstairs and grabbed a drink, before running out of the house and further away from it so Daichi and Bokuto wouldn't see where he was going.

He found himself near the forest, even though the sun was practically burning the sand, the shade that the forest provided was more than enough. Not to mention, a storm was supposed to be coming soon. Oikawa walked slowly into the water and let it reach his knees before throwing the navy blue shell into the water.

He knew he shouldn't expect Iwaizumi to show up immediately, it takes time obviously. Since he was wearing shorts, he decided to relax submerged his whole body into the water, it's a great way to cool down, really.

Around 5 minutes later he heard something, he wasn't sure what it was, but as soon as he opened his eyes - he was greeted by Iwaizumi's.

"Miss me already?" he asked while a small smile played on his lips.

"Y-You scared me a bit here. You're quick" Oikawa said as he sat down in the water properly. Only his shoulders and head were above the water. It wasn't deep at all, so Oikawa got a good chance to see Iwaizumi's tail up close.

"What is it? You wouldn't call me just out of the blue, would you?" Iwaizumi asked, his voice was so soothing and relaxing.

"Yeah.. Would you mind answering some questions about your past and such? We need information" Oikawa said, he was sure that he saw a flash of disappointment in Iwaizumi's face, but maybe that's just his imagination.

"Sure, why not. Let's just not take too long, I don't have that much time" Iwaizumi said.

"Okay, so what were the tribesmen like? What did they know about you?" Oikawa asked. He wasn't sure if it was okay to start from this question.

"Tribesmen.... Those violent creatures. I wouldn't even call them human, they were demons of some sort. They didn't know about us until one of the mermaids didn't get caught in their trap. As soon as they learned about us, they started hunting us. They would use our tails for medicine or something, while our upper body parts would be eaten most of the time. They were monsters and we didn't give in that easily. Some mermen became violent and started attacking them, luring them into the water with songs.. Those were terrible times. I was still little back then, my mother was caught by them" Iwaizumi sighed loudly as he finished talking.

"I'm so sorry.. What they did was terrible.. How come you approached us then?" Oikawa asked.

"Through out the years many things changed. I approached you, because I couldn't sense the bad energy coming from you and because.... You look so beautiful, you look like the finest creation that somehow didn't become a merman" Iwaizumi smiled at him. Oikawa could feel his cheeks burning up.

"Ah.. I-I see... Oh, how many of you are there and where do you live? You don't have to answer this question if you don't want to" Oikawa said. Iwaizumi looked at the horizon and Oikawa focused on his side profile, he hasn't seen a more beautiful face, not to mention his jawline looked so sharp, it would probably cut him just by looking at it for too long.

"There used to be over a thousand of us, however, the tribesmen hunted down a lot of us, some of mermen swam away.. Now there isn't that many.. The main part of us now is the royal family and those who follow them. We live in town of some sort, it's mostly ruins now" Iwaizumi said. "You see this mark on my hand? This is the sign that I am one of those who protect the royal"

"Royal family? Do you have a king there or something?" Oikawa laughed a bit, but the seriousness on Iwaizumi's face made him stop.

"Yes. Yes we do. Don't be so suprised. Anyway, I should go before they notice I'm missing" Iwaizumi said and turned to Oikawa.

"How do I call you if I need you again?" Oikawa asked, he didn't know why he would need to talk to him again, but his heart was telling him to.

Iwaizumi leaned in and placed a kiss on Oikawa's lips.

"Just call my name"
