CHAPTER FIFTEEN

ALYS LAID IN HER BED, STARING AT THE CANOPY AND TRYING TO FALL ASLEEP. YET HER MIND CONTINUED TO WANTED TOWARDS THE ENERGETIC CHILD INSIDE HER WOMB. She wondered how he shall be like. Is it going to be a girl or a boy. Is it going to have Robert's black locks or my brown ones? Eyes blue as crystals or blue as the dark. There are too many ways her child is going to look.

She remembered when she dreaded the idea of children, especially with Robert. But not she just frowns upon it. A babe is just a babe. It is innocent, it did not choose to be born. Suddenly she felt a kick and she had to hold back a grunt. That was a hard one.

She brought her hand to her abdomen. Relax my love. You will come soon.

She briefly wondered how Robert was doing. But she then shook her head. She wound not think about him. She had forgiven him for so much and yet he does not do anything else then complain. But still, he was the father of her child. Alys was not so evil that she would want ill-wish to her child's father. Every child needs a father. She pulled the covers over her and laid on her side, closing her eyes.

She snaps her eyes open in pain. Something was wrong. She pulled her covers off and held back a gasp. Her bed was covered in blood. No.

She let out a scream, more like a cry for mercy. The pain shot through her like someone had stabbed her multiple times at her abdomen. The guards seemed to have heard it and had kicked the door open. She heard them call for a midwife but all she could do was scream. Scream for all the pain. It was too soon. It is not supposed to come now.

Alys felt a presence beside her but she didn't care neither had the strength to push her away. "Your Grace. You have to wait! You cannot push yet, or you will put the child and yourself in danger!"

Alys groaned as she tried to keep up with her midwife. She heard panicked mumbling and murmurs, yet she could not make them out. She struggled to keep her eyes open. She wanted to let it go. She wanted the pain to stop. It was too much.

Alys let out a scream that was sure enough to wake the whole Red Keep.

Then suddenly, it was all silent.

ROBERT'S POV

The Ironborns were nearing.

They had been waiting for long. The Ironborns has managed to take Lannisport. Damn you, old Lion.
You say you are undefeated and the most powerful man in the seven kingdoms, yet you let some 'filthy' Ironborns take the victory.

Robert along with the Stormlands, North and the Lannister's with the Riverlands agains the Ironborns, people would think that they would win and the Ironborns only had allies of their own house. But they were wrong. They had lost Lannisport.

That only left Robert fuming with anger. He wanted to leave for King's Landing. He might not love Alys yet, but he will damn right try. He is tired of living an eternity of misery. The time with Lyanna was only childish love, infuriating love.

She belonged to the past now, Alys was the future. And he will try to come back for her and their unborn children. To prove to her that he can be a good King. Much better then the Mad King. He would prove her wrong. He would win and return home for her.

Robert sighed and looked up to the sky. He closed his eyes and muttered what only he could hear, "please be alright Alys"

"Your Grace, a letter! The messenger said it was urgent"

Robert turned his head to the Lannister solider and nodded at him to bring him the letter. As soon as the solider had left Robert began opening it.

Your Grace,

I will inform you that Alys has given birth to two sons, each that looks the exact replica of you, Robert. Each healthy and has a body of a giant. Although, I can not say the same about your wife. She is in deathbed Robert. I do not think she will make it.

I beg of you to not leave your post. You are King. You have to fight for Westeros, as King Aerys never did.

I will give you my word that I will do anything in my power to keep her alive until you arrive.

Jon Arryn, Hand of the King.

Robert screamed. He was sure the whole camp and the Ironborns had heard him.

Let them come.

-

Three,

Robert held his hammer tight in his hand, ready to take down any man who dares stand agains him.

Two,

The Ironborns have won a victory perhaps, but they will never win the war.

One,

I promise, Alys I wil come back to you. I will bring victory upon us and you will survive for our sons, and ourselves.

Zero.

Then all hell broke loose.
