I wake up with drool running down my cheeks and dried tears on the brim of my eyes. I was still in my party outfit and I was sleeping on top of all the clothes I threw yesterday from the closet on to the bed.

Memories of what happened last night started to flood and groaned internally. Why does this shit happen to me... like it's literally just sex. I didn't realise it was this hard to get laid, or am I just really ugly?

I begin to get up and reach for a clean set of clothes that i can wear today, whilst doing so i just stare at myself at the mirror. Wow, i don't blame Jake, my body is so unappealing.

Sighing, I head towards the bathroom and have a quick shower before my family come back. Dad's friend from work had passed away, so out of respect they thought it would be nice to attend to the funeral. Since it was a long drive, they stayed a night. I didn't go because no offence to the guy who died but i don't know him. And I don't want to be in a car with my siblings— Khai who is my older brother by a year and 4 months to be precise. And Mabel who is a turning 2 in a month.

That would be a road trip to hell.

After finishing getting ready, i decide to go to the kitchen and see what there is for me to eat for breakfast.

By the time I'm sat down, with a bowl of cereal in front of me, the door bell goes off repeatedly. Immediately I know its them, Khai always rings the bell even if he has the keys.

I head to the door, which reveals no one other than my beautiful family. "Hey guys! How was your trip?"

"Meh, boring." Khai says, ruining my hair buy rubbing my scalp. Ugh what a bitch.

I comb my hair with fingers before going back to the kitchen and texting Madi.

Me: hey do you want to go out today?

Madi: sure, pick me up in 30 mins.

Madi and i have been shopping for at least 2 hours and shes non stop talking about Theo which I don't mind but it didn't give me a chance to tell her about yesterday.

"And Theo has these amazin—"

"Nice to know Madi but I need to tell you something." I say as we walk through the parking lot, heading to my car.

"What?" She questions me, her eyebrows frowning.

"Well, when we were at the party me and Jake went to a room—"

"AHHH!" She screams. "You finally had sex!"

"What? No! Let me finish." I say, looking around the places to see one or two people staring at us weirdly. "We we're going to have sex. But he rejected me."

"What the fuck." She swears, taking a sip out of her can of coke. "This is the second time. Is he mentally okay? Please tell me you called it quits."

I unlock the door to my car and taking a seat and throwing the bags at the back. "Well, I think so."

"What do you mean, you think so?"

"It made me so angry and I can't even remember it properly. I just know I called him a few horrible things and flipped him off but I don't know if I broke up with him."

"You have to break up with him. Properly. Tonight."

"Im not gonna see him tonight."

"Erm yes you are." She argues back.

"No I'm not."

"Fine whatever." She rolls her eyes and buckled her seatbelt and we make our way to her house.

Madi's mum is hardly home, she hardly sees them. It's tough she's her adoptive mum and that she never spend enough time with her because she's in and out of rehab. The reason why she's in rehab is because her husband died 3 years ago and she's been drinking since. Unfortunately that meant Madi had no father figure. Except hers didn't go missing after buying milk.

That's partially why we are really close. She's like my sister. And we treat her like she's one of us.

"So what you gonna do?" She says, putting her shopping bags down on the table.

"What do you mean?"

"Once we go back to school? Your gonna end up seeing Jake." She states the obvious.

"That's a problem when that time comes, as of right now, I'm going to air him anyway possible."

"Hmm okay, your probably gonna end up with him by the end of this week." She says, plotting herself on the couch, next to me.

"What? No! Madi do you think that low of me?" I question, kind of hurt she thinks Im like that.

"Mercy, you know damn well I don't. Anyways Theo is having a party, wanna come?"

"Definitely not." I shake my head.

"Why!?"

"What if I see him there."

"You won't." She dismisses. "I don't even think Theo knows him. And plus it's not really a party it's more of a small gathering. His friends, and he said I can bring you."

"He knows me? We've never even met once."

"Of course he knows you, your like my sister." She smiles.

"Aww Madi, that was so cute—"

"Thanks." She cuts me mid sentence. "So your coming right?"

I roll my eyes. This always happens, she somehow makes me guilty and makes me come. "Fine."

"Yay!" Okay let's get ready!"

"Now? Isn't a bit early?" I say. The time is only quarter past 4.

"It's never to early."

With that, we both go to her room and she gives me this nice silver sequined draped backless top and a white leather skirt to go with it. And of course she's wearing a mini dress because like always she's gonna have sex with him.
