26. | DARKSISTER
______________

The departure to Dragonstone for their mother and Viserys had been a quick and rather stupid one. Her mother was heavily pregnant with child and her father had made the decision to send her off to Dragonstone. As her mother gave her a big hug with a peck on both her cheeks and told her to take care of herself she found herself crying uncontrollably and begging her not to leave in her mind. Parting from Viserys had been an even harder one. Viserys had begged her and crying hysterically not to leave him. Aelinor felt her heart break and she felt her tears falling down her face to her neck.

She had crunched down to his height and hugged him as tight as possible. She cupped one of her hands on his face and made him look into her eyes. "You must be strong now. Not only for yourself, but for our mother and unborn sibling. Can you do that for them?" Viserys nodded earnestly still holding Aelinor tight.

Aerys hadn't even bothered watching them off expecting that he didn't need to waste his time on unnecessary moments.

Aelinor however didn't fail to notice how her mother hold her handmaiden tight as she tried to walk straight. There had been rumors about how the king had taken her so roughly that the queen had screamed and begged him to stop even more loud than usual. They had also explained her bruises and scratches on her thighs and lower body. Aelior was just glad that her mother was away for now and could recover without the king nearby.

Aerys has not allowed Aelinor to accompany them, he wanted her at his side. Aelinor didn't know why but she didn't want to think about it eighter. Aerys had also demanded Elia and the children being sent back to court some moons back. He wanted to make sure the dornish would not betray him. And considering how much Dorne loves their princess, it could not come one doubt in Aelinor's mind that the dornish would betray them and risk her life with Aegon and Rhaenys.

Lord Tywin however, hadn't made a single movement or announcement about who he is going to back against. That only made Aerys madder by the days that goes by. Aerys had constantly been sending letters about sending his army to Kings Landing and help them if needed, but Lord Tywin had not answered any of them. That had set Aerys into a fit stage ever time.

Aelinor often found herself lonely. Though, she had Elia, Rhaenys and Aegon. But Elia was being held in her chambers alongside Rhaenys and Aegon, only occasionally allowing Aelinor to enter. She had met with Jaime most times but she eighter ignored him or brushed him off. And today was no different.

Walking through the dark labyrinth halls with Jaime just a few steps behind, Aelinor finds herself tracing the stone walls and finding them quite warm. Aelinor often spends her time wondering the halls, thinking of the War and the situation with Lord Tywin but she mostly thinks about Rhaegar.

He still left her. Her. In the Red Keep where she had expressed herself telling him she wanted out and explore and see the world. Though it seems those words only went through one ear and went out the other. Aelinor would never in her lifetime forgive Rhaegar. Sure, she could forgive him one day but she will never forget.

She suddenly stopped at a painting hanging up at the wall. A painting of a bloody dragon. Aelinor and Rhaegar would always stare at that picture in wonder. There was something special about that painting and she knew it.

She didn't seem to notice that she had stopped though and Jaime touched her shoulder slightly. "Aelinor?" Aelinor was shaken out from her thoughts as she turned to face Jaime and the hand on her shoulder. Jaime noticed and took his hand off her. He gave a sigh and felt himself disappointed for her lack of emotion. What should he expect though? Her just coming back to his arms after witnessing what she saw?

"Aelinor–I" He was stopped as he watched in awe as Aelinor pushed open a secret door behind the painting. Aelinor barely heard the please and begs of Jaime telling her not to go inside. Aelinor ignored him and went in slowly.

The halls were thick and tight. There was barely any space to breathe as the only this they could smell was shit and sweat. Aelinor had to keep herself from puking all over herself. The smell was utterly disgusting. Aelinor and Jaime both made small steps while having a hand on the walls. It was pitch black. They couldn't see anything which made them both a bit uneasy. The rats rushed off as quickly as possible making Aelinor scrunch up her nose.

Jaime felt like it was his fault for not stopping her to enter. He would be killed off the moment the king knows about this. Jaime walked just behind Aelinor making sure that she wouldn't fall. Jaime knew he screwed up after Aelinor confessed to have seen him and Cersei. He knows it. But he loved Aelinor. He made a mistake. A mistake he is willing to pay for.

There was suddenly a small light at the end of the small tunnel. It was something very small and shun really light. Aelinor reached her hand to touch the small light which seemed to call out for her. She barely noticed Jaime behind her warning her to not do anything.

She gasped and walked fast towards the long box laying on a table. It was a magnificent pice of woodwork. The details was almost like it was made for the Gods. The way the details brought out the Targaryen sigils marked on the box. Yes, defiantly for a Targaryen. Aelinor briefly wondered if it was for her. It seemed like destiny–waiting for her to find it and open it. Aelinor stared at it for a moment before deciding to open it.

Her hand caressed the box and studied it once more before opening it. Aelinor held back a gasp though Jaime didn't bother hide it. In front of her laid the most beautiful and magnificent sword Aelinor had ever seen. More so than Dawn. Aelinor carefully reached out to touch it. The sword shined, reflecting light, when light was upon it. The way the sharp edges cut her delicate and soft finger. She inspected the rest of the sword. Touching the handle was two silver-like dragons rested upon both sides on the hilt, in the middle was a red jewel embedded in the center making it look like it shined. She ran her fingers across the familiar Valeryian letters at the blade's fuller, and felt her fingers tingle as he traced the letters. She knew what it wrote. Darksister.

"Darksister" Aelinor muttered in disbelief still in shock.

The legendary Darksister that was wielded by the infamous Visenya Targaryen. They said her to be a cold woman but a excellent and promising solider more than her brother-husband Aegon even.

"I know that sword" Jaime's voice broke the silence as he moved to stand beside Aelinor. "Its Darksister" The tone of his voice said it all. The shock and disbelief of seeing the legendary Darksister. Aelinor had never thought herself to be the one to weild a sword but alas–she picked it up and inspected it in her right hand. The balance of the sword was impeccable. Aelinor herself had only held a sword only once or twice but was surprisingly good at it, though wielding a sword was never much in her interest. She gave a few swings and felt the heaviness of the sword making her arm begin to numb. She gave it a few more swings and with every moment, the blade felt more comfortable in her hand, as if it was accustoming itself to its new master.

Aelinor felt herself breathing out heavy breaths and she carefully let the sword down to its box. She didn't even notice that Jaime had his hand in hers and brought his left hand up to her chin making her look directly in his eyes. "You will be safe here," he whispered, leaning his forehead against hers, breathing hard, seeming to try convincing himself mother than her. "I will protect you"

Aelinor shook her head out from her frozen state and whimpered out weakly, "Don't," she shook her head once more, stroking his cheek, "Do not make me forgive you so easily. Not after what you have done to me." Her eyes never left his and he dared not look away. Jaime seemed to understand as his eyes were staring at her with sorrow and guilt.

"I know Aelinor. But whatever you think of me is alright. I am deeply sorry for what I have done. And I don't know what made me do it but it just happened." Jaime's eyes still made no move. "I love you. But if you don't want me to be with you, than that is alright." He stopped before pressing his lips firmly, but gently, against hers. Aelinor held his arm more firmly as the kiss grew just a little deeper. She pulled away first, her warm breath fanning across his skin. "But I will always be there to protect you. No matter if you want it or not."

Aelinor felt hot sad tears fall down her cheeks. Jaime brushed his fingers gently across her cheeks to remove them.

"I love you" Aelinor murmured with a lump forming in her throat. She reached her fingers, tenderly stroking his cheeks."I will always love you"

"I love you" He mumbled into her ear softly, tightening his hold on her. "I love you" was all he told her over and over again. He stared into her violent eyes before letting out a growl. In a second they were at each other's face. They kissed as if it was the last moment they could be seen doing it. He cupped her face in his hands and sliced his finger into her hair. Aelinor moaned into the kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck. He walked her back until she was pressed against the wall. Jaime tightened his hold on her thigh and held her secure on the wall. She gasped upon the slight impact and Jaime took the opportunity to explore her mouth with his tongue and she moaned softly as she pulled him tighter to her. His hands brushed over her back as he pulled even more tighter to him.

Aelinor pulled away and looked into Jaime's eyes. She gulped when she noticed that Jaime had dark eyes filled with lust. Before she even knows it she is pushed around facing the wall. Jaime puts his head in her shoulder and gives her kisses, possibly leaving marks. Jaime pulled of her dress impatiently and unlaced the corset she was wearing.

His eyes then racked over her body. Her large breasts to her slim waits to her wide hips. Gods, she is truly the maiden reborn. He turns her around to make her face him. He notices that Aelinor had lust filled in her eyes. That Targaryen fire. That made Jaime's cock grow. After all she is a dragon. Aelinor used her hands to unlace his tunic and breaches. Her eyes racked over Jaime's fit body. She had seen his features when he was sword fighting with Ser Arthur and Ser Barristan. But now she saw him even more making her more aroused.

They soon found themself tangled together the air hot and sweaty.

_____

"Do you ever think about running?"

Jaime's question hangs in the air. They were tangled together on the ground, laying on their clothes. They did not even consider that they were fucking in a secret room.

Aelinor turns her head towards him,"Sometimes" She sighs. She ran her hand over Jaime's chest and drew a few circles with her fingers gently. They had laid for quite some time and Aelinor hoped that nobody noticed. "But that is just a dream. You cannot run away from the reality"

Jaime turns his head towards her and strokes her cheek tenderly. He brings his lips to hers gently and closes his eyes, before pulling away slowly. He knew that running away was just running away from the truth. If he ran his father would surely hunt him down until he finds him. That would do now one any good. But now, laying with Aelinor and expressed his feeling he longed for a normal and free life. Perhaps they could run to Essos, or Pentos. Or even perhaps the summer Islands. They could start a happy family and a life without any worry and pain. But that is what it all was. A dream.

He wished to convince her more. Telling her that they both will be safe if they ran. But Jaime knew that Aelinor would never leave her family. She would never leave her mother, Viserys and even Rhaegar. Jaime himself don't want to leave Tyrion but he knows that tyrion would be a better Lord than Jaime would ever be.  And he did have a half-brother who was considered to be the heir to Casterly Rock."Yes. Only a dream"

Aelinor seems to notice his change of behavior but didn't question it. "Perhaps we should return. I would only hope no one has noticed us gone" She slowly rose to sit on the ground with only her dress to cover her front with. She quickly felt anxiety rise within her. The thoughts of her father noticing they were gone and burning every person Aerys thought were lying. Aelinor knew that could happen and she quickly fell to her knees as she quickly tried pulling her corset on. Jaime nodded and gently pulled the strings to tie her corset on. He helped shutting her gown and quickly changed into his armor.

Once they were done Aelinor grabbed Darksister carefully and began to walk out the room and to the dark and small halls. Jaime was behind her holding her hand protectively. Once they came out they quickly noticed the obvious demeanor of the servants and handmaidens. They had a expression on their face that Aelinor knows too well.

And suddenly a shout can be heard.

"Come out Rhaegar! I want my sister back you cunt! Come out and die!"

Aelinor's face paled. This would turn out badly and she knew it. Why in the seven does Brandon think Rhaegar is here of all places? Does he not think that the king would kill his son and his sister if they returned to the Keep? He must surely be stupid. So much for the wolf-blood, she scowled. Aelinor ran towards the throne room to warn Brandon that he would obviously die if he continues this. Jaime was right behind her, knowing as well how badly this will end.

But the Gods has something else in mind. The king had arrived before them and ordered to kill Brandon's men, which was included the heir to the Vale. He had thrown Brandon in one of the cells at the Black cells and ordered Jon Arryn to bring the heads of Ned Stark and Robert Baratheon.

"You must stay in your chambers Aelinor." Aelinor wanted to argue but she knew that she couldn't do anything other than make it worse. She let Jaime lead her to her chambers, but as he was on his way walking back to guard the king, Aelinor gave him a long kiss. They pulled away from each other and Jaime leaned his forehead against hers before giving her a long kiss on her forehead. "I promise I will keep you safe" And Aelinor knew him true.

_____

Lord Richard Stark had arrived at the Red Keep demanding the king realease his son. Did the Starks not know her father was mad? Gods, they maybe are honorable but they sure are stupid.

"I want my son, your Grace" The Lords voice rang out in the hall. His tone was cold and his eyes were as cold as ice yet a deep emotion full of fear.

The king scoffed as he tightened his hold of the Iron Throne, "You think I will Stark? He is a traitor."
His cold voice stated. His voice was cold, but yet was filled with some type of amusement. "He will burn."

The throne throne room was quiet. Lord Stark turned his gaze away from the king towards Aelinor. Aelinor could feel his eyes–judging her and screaming her to do something. But what could she do? If he would burn his own son, he would burn his daughter in a second. Aelinor turned her head to the side, refusing to see the judgement falling out of his eyes.

Lord Rickard's voice was loud, echoing through the large hall,"Then I demand a trail by combat. And I will fight for my son" it was deadly silent, for everyone knew how great Lord Stark was with a sword. They did also however know that Aerys was mad. He would surely not grant him the offer.

Aerys's eyes seemed less amused and more excited,"Why of course, Lord Stark". There was silent gasps heard from the hall. Aelinor felt herself grow shocked. Surely her mad father would not grant him the chance. "After all. I am merciful am I not?"

______

Aelinor silently cursed herself for what shes about to do. The king had placed both Lord Stark and Brandon in the black cells waiting for the trail tomorrow. Aelinor could not let that happen. These starks are seriously stupid. Aelinor knew who her father was going to use as his champion and knew this was going to end very badly.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Jaime asked, his voice full of fear and protectiveness.

Aelinor gave a stiff nod while continuing down the black cells. Jaime had taken out the guards guarding the cells close by Lord Stark's and Brandon's cells, making sure no one witnessed what was about to happen. This is stupid. Very stupid.

"Who is there?" Aelinor took off her hood covering her face and stared at Lord Stark's face. He looked frail and gaunt. He had dirt covering his face and clothes. The same could be said to Brandon who was in the opposite cell.

Aelinor raised a brow as Jaime held the torch closer to them. "I am here to free you, Lord Stark. But we must do it quickly before any guards notice"

The shock on Lord Stark's face was clearly obvious but Aelinor ignored him and opened up his cell with the key. She dis the same to Brandons cell and helped him up.

Brandon stared at her his face full of confusion, "Why are you helping us?" Aelinor slowly looked up and looked at him. Aelinor now felt uncomterable. How could she tell them that his sister and daughter ran away with Rhaegar?

"Because I know the truth." They stared at her weirdly before slowly walking closer to her. Jaime told Aelinor he was going to look out for guards.

The Lord and heir stared at each other before demanding once more,"Tell us"

Aelinor felt her face become emotionless, but inside of her she felt clear panic, "Lady Lyanna didn't get kidnapped by my brother" Lord Stark didn't change his face but Brandon did. She saw how his face turned to an angry expression and before he got to shout Aelinor stopped him.

"She went willingly" Lord Stark's eyes narrowed on hers.

"You know nothing, princess. Your brother kidnapped my daughter and raped her." Aelinor then felt herself let out a chuckle. Why cant these two see?

Aelinor knew they would think of her as mad. But who are they to judge? "I am telling you your daughter ran willingly. She was the knight of the laughing tree at the tourney. Rhaegar offered her, her freedom if he got his last head of the dragon. My guess is that Lyanna fell in love and ran."

Brandon hissed at her, "My sister wouls never. She knows honor which your brother do not."

Aelinor rolled her eyes and just felt herself tired. "Well then there is no need for us to disguss this! You need to leave before someone notices you gone!" She paused. "I have arranged two horses and some food for the journey to Riverrun where you brother Ned and Robert is. Now go!"

Lord Stark softened his eyes and offered her a hand on the shoulder, "Thank you my princess. We will never forget this" he nodded at Brandon to follow him out. Brandon gave her a small smile with a nod before quickly running out with his father.

Aelinor let out a shaky breath before slowly walking back to Jaime. Jaime turned his eyes to her with fear in his eyes, "I hope what you did will have some good consequences" Was all he said as they walked back into the Keep.
