"My lord, it was nothing I assure you" Aelinor argued kindly while raising her chin with a small smile tugging at her lips. "I have done nothing somebody else could have done"
"You have helped us greatly your grace. Without you we might have had thousands of wildlings attacking the villages and killing innocents by now. Trust me when i say this princess, but you have been great help. Such a shame your not queen, people love and admire you, everywere you go it seems" The man from the nights watch argued back assuringly as he stared at the princess in a thankful and adoring way.
While the lords and ladies in Kings Landing and most of Westeros is having the best time they have, while on the wall there has been countless of wildlings attacks. There is far less men in the Nights Watch then before. But what many didn't know was that her Great-uncle Aemon was the maester on the wall.
"I would do anything to help North and helping the Nights Watch. My Great-uncle Aemon is the maester on the wall. Couldn't have let him stare now, could i?" Aelinor replied playfully in a slight mocking voice. "And you can bring back 70 men from the doungeuns and take them to the wall, along with some more supplies for warmth and some exctra food to help you not to starve at the wall" Aelinor chuckled at her last words.
The man from the nights watch stood there quite stunned. There was no rumour or lie that the crown had never taken the North and the wall seriously, but hearing those words out of the princesses mouth he knew that the rest of the Nights Watch woud be loyal and honorable to the princess.
Snapping out of his shockingly face he answerd "T-thank you your grace, but you have already helped us enough really" He and the rest of his brothers had heard of rumours about Aelinor Targaryens's beauty, grace and kindness. It was a shame she would not be the queen. It really was. And he was sure that it was not only him that thought so.
Aelinor would not have any of it. "Nonsense the North is a part of The Seven Kingdoms are they not?" The man nodded slowly. "Well, then i must help he North as best as I can s long as i can make a difference" The man seemed taken back for a moment before bowing gracefully at the princess and smiled before walking away.
Thinking about the wall she knew she had to write a message for her great-uncle at the wall. It had been too long since she had heard of him, and she wanted to see him once more if he accsidently grows ill from elderness.
"Aelinor!" A voice suddenly said trying to catch her attention. Aelinor turned around and locking eyes with her friend- Ashara Dayne. Ashara hurried over to Aelinor.
"Is something the matter Ashara" Aelinor questioned suddenly catching Ashara's worried exspression. She watched as Ashara opend up her mouth before closing it and looking on the ground while playing with her hands.
"Ashara what-
"It's your bethroed"
"What about Jaime?" Aelinor questiond cunfusingly while furring her brows as she watched her friends face closely as if trying to read her face exspression. Ashara took a deep breat before shakingly lookig up at her best-friend.
"He-He became a member of the kingsguard" At that answer Aelinor felt her heart break. It wasn't as Aelinor was in love with Jaime, but she really belived that by marrying Jaime meant freedom and going to Casterly Rock. She knew that she had some feelings towards Jaime but that all stopped now. Now that Jaime was a member of the kingsguard she was no longer bethroed to him since he took an oath promising that he owned no lands and title as lord.
She can just imagine her fathers face- red faced and angry screaming for someone to get burned while afterwards taking all his anger out on her mother. She hated herself for not saying anything- she felt like a coward not standing out for her mother. He didn't ever allow Rhaella to be alone with Viserys unless someone he trusted or a loyal member of the kingsguard was there with him.
Standing and wathing people dance brought a smile to her face. "Care for a dance?" She turned around and saw the face of her brother. Aelinor stood there quite questiongly. Why wasn't he with his new wife?
While Rhaegar stood there with a smile on his face- only staring at Aelinor and streched his arm out to her. Aelinor stood there for a moment wondering if she should, but shaked her head out of it. She smiled and accepted the hand. Rhaegar took her arm and began leading them to the middle of the dance floor. They didn't however notice that people stopped to watch. It wasn't a lie for Rhaegar that his sister was a bad dancer. She bumped into him to many times before she gave Rhaegar a worried look of fear that she had hurt him.
Rhaegar gave Aelinor an amused look before saying, "You look beautiful this evening dear sister. You outshine all the woman here"
Aelinor looked down, "Thank you Rhaegar. But I think Elia is even more beautiful." she replied shyly with a smile.
"You are," Rhaegar began and Aelinor looked up to face her brother with a look of coufusion. "You are the most beautiful woman here, everyone can see that"
Aelinor gave a embarrasing look back to him and looked around her shyly and of couse saw nearly every man giving her a lustful face. She looked back at Rhaegar and gave a small sight. She was a little angry at her brother. How could he say that when he was already married some hours ago. Aelinor knew she was beautiful and didn't need her brother comenting on it all the time.
Aelinor forced a smile and looked over at Rhaegar's shoulder- though he was much taller then her- and saw the face of Elia Martell looking quite sad. And at that moment Aelinor thought she might cry. Elia was beautiful and that was not a lie, and there Aelinor was dancing with her husband and taking all his attention.
Aelinor looked over at her brother, "You should ask your wife for a dance you know? She really want this marriage to work and you are not doing anything to help" She mutterd and tore herself from his arms while giving Elia a look of sadness.
She noticed while walking out that most of the men stopped and looked over at her with a gaze she always knew was. This time however she grew angry and stormed out of the Keep to the gardens. Although dark, she saw the gardens to be the most beautiful place at Kings Landing. Looking up at the sky she saw all the stars and just wonderd for a secound if she could just raise her arms and fly away with freedom. But that was only a dream. Sadly.
"You should not be here alone you know" Aelinor spun around fast and tried recoginsing the voice in the dark. The man stepped forward in the moonlight and she knew straight away who that was. Turning away again and looking up at the sky the man sighted.
"You have probably heard i gatherd," He began while watching aelinor as she didn't answer and Jaime knew he couldn't blame her. "I know how this seemes and you arethe most wonderful woman anyone could have ever married"
She spun around quickly with an angry face and replied while poking a pinger to his chest. "And still you wanted to be a kingsguard more" She sighted and got her sad face back "And I understand really I do. And i know I don't love you but i knew that i could grow to. I'm sorry it's just that i wanted to be free from my father and you are just an amazing man to be wed of to. I thought that it was the best plan to get out of here and live happily but a part of me knew that, that was never the life for me" Jaime gave a painful look toward her. "The gods must really hate me"
"That's not true and you know it" Jaime said and Aelinor just gave him a look of sadness with a small eye roll.
"You are amazing, it's just that ever since i was child the only thing i can remember is that i onlly ever wanted to be a kingsguard and protect the king and innocent" Jaime finally began, "And also protect you. I am so sorry but you have to know how sorry I am" Aelinor gave a cunfused look before her eyes widend while watching as Jaime brought his lips fast towards her. Aelinor wanted to push him away but her body betrayed her and brought her arms up to his neck while Jaime's arms was at her waist.
Pulling away slightly and looking into eachothers eyes as their forhead touched. They both smiled sadly and chuckhled quietly.
"I might just forgive you Ser Jaime Lannister"
