Dear Diary,

After practice, I headed to the park, but the bench I usually sit on was taken by some middle school kids, so I had to find another spot. That’s when I saw her again.

I realized I hadn’t put it together before that she goes to Inarizaki High too. I suppose it’s because I’m not that familiar with my schoolmates, and whenever she’s at the park, she wears comfortable clothes instead of our school uniform. It makes sense now, especially since she spends hours sitting on the grass—wearing something relaxed is definitely better than trying to settle into stiff clothing.

When she saw me looking for a vacant place, she waved her hand and asked if I wanted to sit beside her, only if I wanted to.

And I agreed.
